Hotel Alter - Adults Only

The rooms are very nicely designed and the hotel has a very good location in the old town.

I can only agree with other reviews, the breakfast offers hardly any choice, which wouldn't be a bad thing. Unfortunately, the quality is not good either. Enjoy your breakfast better and more comfortably in one of the nearby cafés.

internet in my room was so unstable it was unable, staff tried to help but to no avail. If internet is essential to you then I’d check before booking l. Not a negative for me but it’s in the old town so my driver had to drop me a short distance away, a short walk and the old town is lovely

Conclusion.This boutique hotel gets almost everything right. Rooms are very comfortable, expected amenities are all present and correct. Stunning location. Architecturally on point. A beautifully renovated period building. Lublin is an enchanting city. Hotel Alter elovated my stay to magical.It's a shame about the breakfast though. 15 bedrooms (I think) is not a lot to look after. I can and do understand why there us a lack of good will to go the extra mile. Cost.I absolutely expect a good brealfast. And I expect it to be served in a warm room. Felt quite cold in there. Or could it be something to do with the sparseness of interior design. Dunno.Anyway. Don't let the breakfast put you off. I would still rate my stay 9/10.

Breakfast choices were very limited (no buffet except drinks and pastries, 5 or 6 food options from the menu) and the food was not great, small duvets on a double bed.

Breakfast portions were small and could have offered more variety particularly the continental.

I'm not sure there's a better location in Lublin! Smack in the middle of the beautiful old town. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. The spa was a relaxing end to a wet, cold day. The staff were so helpful and went above and beyond - particularly Derek and Sebastian. I am so grateful to them and delighted that I chose Hotel Alter for my stay!

The property is just at the centre of Lublin and close to the most important places. The spa was amazing and very private.

Nothing. Everything was excellent!

Accommodation was large and bright and clean. The spacious bathroom included a heated floor. Pool and sauna were very nice as well. Altogether excellent!

There was nothing other than the slight difficulty of navigating in old Lublin.

Location in old town is excellent. The room was palatial, and the swimming pool very welcome. BUT: took ages to figure out room heating and there was not enough lighting for reading. Breakfast was not self-service but had to order from menu. On our first day the one member of staff on duty was clearly overwhelmed and we had to wait for ages to be served. The second day was fine because there were no other guests there at the same time. They should just have a wider range of buffet foods and self-service coffee machines.

It was very spacious and clean. They had an extra cover and towels in the couch bed. The location was perfect. Literally right by the town center. They also had extras like coffee, sugar, shampoo, etc. It was the perfect place to stay.

It was confusing getting in the locked gate the first time, but afterwards it was fine (it was probably me). Also, keep the windows closed because it can be a bit loud on the street at night, but the windows really cut the noise out.

The staff was wonderful. They were extremely kind and very helpful. We requested our rooms be close to each other. Af first, they could not accommodate, but were able to move one of our rooms the next morning. The location was perfect and the hotel was very nice!

The bathrooms were glass. It was very different

Sentral, spacious room. Appeared new, clean and decorated with a clear and consistent plan. The pool area with long opening hours. Friendly staff. Location could not have been better.

Minor issues, but could have been avoided:Availability of electric outlets. They were few and too close to the floor. Traveling alone I have 5 electronic devices needing electricity/charging sharing only 2 outlets. Imagine 2 persons staying in that room. Steps and levels of all floors, even inside the room. Easy to trip as they were not marked. I understand that this is an old building, but there are many ways of making steps visible.No wifi or mobile network coverage in the pool area that was on level -2. I like to stream music while relaxing.No possibility to hang towels close to the sink. They had to hang at the other end of the room.No more pool towels there when I got late to the pool.Not able to prepare breakfast eggs as specified. Could not have been further away from what I ordered and I was very clear and specific. If you are not open to any style avoid ordering eggs.

Very nice location, elegant room, valet parking.

The only problem is breakfast. Too moderate for such a hotel. And the bread was not fresh.

Maybe a bit noisy outside (main street) but it will quiet down early.

Excellent room, very clean, all necessary amenities are provided. The staff is excellent. The wellness spa is very clean and well-equiped. The breakfast is delicious and copious. Can't fault this place.

Welcome bottle of prosecco due to our stay being on new year's eve. Exceptionally friendly and helpful check in staff. Enormous comfortable room with fantastic view of old town. Very good spa facilities.

We loved everything about the property the location was great the staff were superb, the room was amazing, thanks for the upgrade. The pool and spar was fantastic

The only thing that was a little disappointing was the breakfast, the cooked to order dishes were a very nice but limited, and the buffet dishes were very limited too

Nice & spacious to very spacious rooms, good concierge service.

Slippery shower room floor (beware!), chlorine smells in elevator, cold swimming pool, no capsules to go with expresso machine in room.
