Cons -
- My room was clean. The shower needed a little extra cleaning. The pillows were horrible. a bunch of luming insert fiber. The Hotel is super noisy inside. Guests were extremely loud in the middle of the night, yelling and talking super loud.. The gap under my door let every sound enter my room.
- The bed & mattress wasn’t that comfortable. The fan was making a noise when we switched on the maximum power.Wifi wasn’t working properly.Parking very very small & difficult to park. We had to park outside other car park where we payed some money. We called the hotel, saying that we were travelling from very far, Graz, Austria, driving 10 hours and that also there was an incident on the road so we couldn’t come before 10.30pm. The manager, called Bala, said if we don’t come before 10.30pm we cannot have the key and they will still charge us for the room. He said there is no other option and he cannot help. Even we mentioned that we have a small kid with us and we need a place to sleep. We offered to pay online & even pay something extra if needed but he sounded very rude speaking to us, he said he also has a family and has to go home. We had to drive very fast and risk our safety just to reach there on time otherwise we wouldn’t have any place to sleep.
- When I wanted to do the checkout, no one was in reception so I had to call someone in order to do so.

Right in town
Do not go here if you you actually want to sleep. Our window was on the inner courtyard side- that should have been peaceful. It wasn‘t. The management lives in the building. They had what seemed like a loud family party in the courtyard at around 11pm, cooking something spicy and deep fried. The fumes rose straight up to the courtyard guest rooms. It was disgusting. Like living over a cheap, stinking restaurant. Closing windows made no noise or smell difference. We heard guests’ conversations in neighboring rooms bec of the ultra-thin walls. I hated it. Positive- the sheets seemed properly laundered.
Clean room
Very noisy at night, very unsavoury shouting in the corridor in the middle of the night (drunk men shouting at women about stealing money!!)Reception was still closed at 8am in the morning when we wanted to check out, we had to ring the door bell for ages and shout for the owners so we could at least give back the keys- finally a very sleepy child appeared from one of the rooms and said they were the owner’s son, so we had no other option other than to pass the key to a child! Clearly no breakfast available despite Booking.com advertising it. String cooking smells. There is something very wrong with this hotel!!!
The Central Hotel was a unique property in an older building located in the historic district of Worms. The price and location drew us to stay there. The elevator was small and the 3 of us had to make 2 trips to get to our floor, a minor inconvenience. Our room was accommodating and there was a hot water pot and tea that we thoroughly enjoyed. The double room had separate beds, a wardrobe, coat hooks, electrical outlets, and a desk/chair. The tiled bathroom was standard for Germany with a shower. Each room had a window that opened to a square courtyard that were the backs of several buildings. The Wi-Fi was secure and fast! The small parking garage was interesting.
We didn’t realize that the windows were open for ventilation and the room was chilly until we closed them. The radiator in the bathroom worked, but we weren’t sure the one in the bedroom was. It may have been controlled by the hotel, but once we closed the windows, we did not get cold. The small parking garage was secure with a manual key pad/code, but it was more like an old brick cave and hotel storage area. There was barely room for 6 small vehicles, and thankfully, there were only 2 there! We prayed that the garage would be standing in the morning! Thankfully, all was well. We took photos and laughed about it afterwards!
Really central, clean and good breakfast.Friendly slaff
Reception person was friendly.
Didn't like the old smell in the room. Light bulbs on the bed and in bathroom needs to change. Old furniture does it make not really pleasant.Strangely, the credit card machine did not work 2 times. He wanted cash money. The price was higher obviously a big event going to happen which I am not sure about it.The shower head is so old and it jets the water in different directions. Doesn't cost that much to replace this cheap shower head anyway. And not to forget the TV. Too small and the tv stations availabilities did suck.
Horrible, inflexible staff. They don't respond to inquiries, which caused me to end up canceling late because I was waiting for their reply. They are all about grabbing that nonrefundable money, no matter what. Stay away.
Staff
The location is ideal--right at the beginning of the main shopping street and just a block from the cathedral! They have a small, secure parking garage, directly behind the hotel, which we were able to use for free. The beds were firm and the shower was hot! Breakfast was a small buffet, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They even checked us in immediately, though we arrived during their afternoon break.
There is nothing to note. For the price, it was definitely a bargain! It is an older hotel, so it is not all glitzy glass and chrome, but we enjoyed that, too, that it was more old-fashioned and cozy.
Central
No ac, old, shower door falling apart
Good price. Central location
The guy who received me was surly. He was most unwelcoming and abrupt
Location and friendly staff.
Confusion at check in and with enquiries. Twin room booked but double room offered on arrival. Changed after some negotiation. Staff unable to manage some basic requests without a lot of explanation.
Location very central. Good selection of food at breakfast. Clean.
Shower head and fitting needed replacing. Would be better to have access through front door at all times, rather than the back. We needed dessert spoons for the cereal rather than teaspoons.
My first room had poor internet due to its distance from the router. A new room was readily provided.
The breakfast is minimal though few people seem to book it. The limited check in time - 1400-2000 required me to request a late check-in at the property at 2200. Three requests to the hotel went unanswered so l booked my first night in the area at another hotel.
Great location, with major sightseeing sites and a railway station within a walking distance
Parking provided is limited to 5 cars, so if you arrive in the evening, you might face a situation when you will have to park your car in the city parkhaus. It is located within 5 min walk, but you will have to pay. Parking in the hotel garage might be a challenge, too as the space is rather limited. Sometimes you may feel a smell of sewage or feel damp like it could be in old houses, in rainy weather.
Great location for all the tourist attractions in Worms. Room was clean and the staff were friendly.
Very poor value for money. Costs a lot for a very dated basic room compared with towns in the rest of the region.
Great location and garage for the bikes
Room was too hot and no air conditioning ?
The location and the garage
The reception, his system was faulty so could not take card payment. Wearing a T shirt that said go away in very rude language. 0 customer service. Also there was constant noise at night coming from one of the walls.
Nicely located literally in the center of town, with easy access to everything you'd want to see. Family room (3 beds) was huge and very comfortable for us. Room had a small refrigerator and coffee/tea maker, which was unexpected and very welcome! Beds were comfortable and bathroom was fine. We arrived by bike (on a bike tour along the Rhine) and it was easy to find. They have plenty of room to store bikes in a large garage with keypad access just behind the hotel (separate building). We did not choose the breakfast option ($$) so can't comment on that. Based on reading other reviews, I surmise the property is under somewhat new ownership that appears to be upgrading the property and rooms. While the room did not have air conditioning, it did have a nice fan and a window that opened into a quiet center ventilation/courtyard area. We had no problem with noise. Building has an elevator (typical small European elevator).
Not really any complaints, it was actually better than we expected based on other reviews. Desk clerk was efficient and helpful when asked, but wasn't overly welcoming. Hotel has two entrances, one in the front on the pedestrian street and one in the back on an alley (where the garage is and you can unload your car). We never figured out which was the main entrance, so worst case scenario you might have to walk two minutes around the building to get to the correct door.
