Pros +
- It was a very interesting stay. A former hospital turned into a hotel. The room and overall layout was quite nice with artistic decorations and yet you could still recognize the typical layout of a hospital inpatient ward. It may be a bit scary for some people, perhaps even bring uncomfortable memories from a hospital stay. But I'd say it was rather an interesting and adventurous experience!
- It was a clean budget room
- I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the entire property was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Everything inside the hotel felt comfortable and welcoming. The only downside is the neighborhood, which wasn’t the best, but once inside the hotel, everything was perfect. Overall, a wonderful experience and I’d recommend it for anyone who values great service and a clean, stylish place to stay.
Cons -
- It was really noisy at night; also you can hear everything that happens in the rooms of neighbours and in the corridor. The neighbors smoked inside, and all the fumes were in our room. At 7 AM, because of the smoking, the neighbors set off the fire alarm twice, and it woke us up. The regulations for guests should be stricter, in my opinion.
- It's one floor (4th) in a larger residential building. The place was completely dark upon our arrival, and while the security guard at the gate DID have our keys as advertised, we still had some apprehension that we'd been scammed.
- Sound insulation between the rooms

Room size and overall vibe, and the accommodation of our late arrival
It's one floor (4th) in a larger residential building. The place was completely dark upon our arrival, and while the security guard at the gate DID have our keys as advertised, we still had some apprehension that we'd been scammed.
The hotel was clean and we were well reservedFor us the bed was not wide enough and we could hear people in the next room talkLocation and immediate surroundings were not inviting
Sound insulation between the rooms
Wonderful staff, a hostel dormitory within a 3* hotel. Great outcome. Excellent buffet breakfast available.
Signage at the front entrance could be better. Not set up for self catering like a hostel, naturally.
the hotel itself, the spacious bathroom, the pink wall, the quiet lounge with the view and the paintings all over the place -- i really enjoy seeing around and immersing the artworks displayed. also it was close to the bus stop, perfect!
the first stay I feel it is a little bit far from everywhere but actually it wasn't that bad. the second time i stayed here, everything was smooth even though I have to travel here and there, love it, would be back!
It's a very clean training hotel for migrants/refugees and displaced/disadvantaged people. Staying there felt like I was doing my part in supporting it's noble mission.
Location was far from Lyon central district. I wish the dorm beds would have a little more enclosure or curtains.
Unusual space, finely decorated. Room was lovely and bed was comfortable
It is such an amazing hotel! Dont look further and just try it out. I love that they have people with disabilities working there and giving them a chance. The place was extremely clean and the receptionist was so welcoming and lovely. 10/10!!
Very nice and original decor. Small but comfortable room.Free parking with security gard all night.
The building on the outside looks bad ... ones on the 4th floor it becomes a different world. The real reason I only score 7, is the total lack of noise isolation of the rooms. We could not really complain about our neighbors... but we could hear everything! Still I would return.
A most unusual hotel with lovely and very helpful staff. The community have done a great job providing a very clean, comfortable and an extraordinary environment. Plenty of parking and all very secure with a dedicated lift and electronic locks.
Nothing but not for the conservatively- minded
Very good accommodation set back off Rd so quiet very helpful staff brkfst only 11euro buffet art work Thru out 4floor clean thru out hotel/hostel with private rooms mostly oui
Little bit far from lyon city but public transport to hotel front about 25 mins to city on bus to gauge de loupe station then 5mins to bettacour down town. Bus# c24 from station to hotel
Booked here as I didn't have another choice in terms of location.Arrived there with mixed feelings, it's an old Hospital repurposed by the salvation army. The hallways are full of paintings of patients and the bar is a piece of Art. Rooms are small but totally fine.Let it Surprise you. Check out the Franco-Syrian restaurant in the same building. Great pricing, nice staff and delicious food
Room was amazing staff friendly and helpful surprised it was on the fourth floor and the art in the hall way was eccentric and disturbing
The art
Very friendly welcome and service throughout our stay (our dog had a good welcome too!). The bed was comfortable, and the use of the bar lounge with terrace was a real bonus. There was free parking. The hotel is on the 4th floor of the building, accessible by lift and stairs. Nearby there are shops including a supermarche an excellent boulangerie, a french taco restaurant, fuel stations, amongst others.
There's no air conditioning but we were provided a fan, which wasn't quite enough during a heatwave.
The beautiful interior design full of paintings. The rooms was very clean and the staff very polite
The external structure raise down the total vote. Probably in another location the vote would be 9.I suggest even better pillows, maybe bigger and higher quality.
Staff were so helpful and room lovely..The decoration and attention to detail made an impact.Tasty breakfast served in a bright airy room.
The outside area was intimidating but so glad we overcame initial reservations. Just not your usual hotel entrance! Had a dedicated lift which was encouraging.leading to the 4th floor where hotel located.
Well located, near the town, but not accessible on foot. In a nice park; very quiet, in spite of being by a fairly passing street. Lively colours on the hotel floor, very warm welcome from staff. Very good breakfast. Because it is a reinsertion programme, we'll plan on staying again; to help out the programme...
A little bit unappealing building from outside and ground floor entrance hall; but don't let the first appearances set you off.
Soooo kind reception women ?
All was ok
