    Pros +

    • 1. It’s in a good location! Only a 10ish minute walk away from Saitama-Shitoshin Station, and lots to do/eat nearby. 2. The staff are very kind!3. There’s a Lawson in it!4. The hotel itself is quite pretty! The room was clean and comfortable, and the window had a nice view of the city.
    • The hotel has clearly focused on their breakfast as a guest draw. It is an extensive buffet, with a wide range of hot and cold western and Japanese dishes, and plenty of fruit (which we were very thankful for). It was the best we had in our 2-week Japan trip. Our room (a "Grand King") was the most spacious we had during our trip.
    • Beautiful hotel, incredibly comfortable bed, spacious room, excellent view, friendly staff, wonderful location. And an on-site convenience store! We stayed here for a concert at Saitama Super Arena and it was an easy 10 minute walk from the venue. No complaints. It was a perfect experience.

    Cons -

    • The elevators were a little confusing at first because not all of them go to each floor.
    • The Breakfast Buffet is impressive but expensive - 3500 yen per person. We were misinformed of the price on our first visit, probably a translation error, but the hotel manager graciously offered us vouchers for our last breakfast as compensation.
    • The pillows were a little flat but overall it was a good stay.

Perfect location in between the stations of Saitama Shintoshin and Kita-Yono, both easily accessible on foot. The hotel is luxurious and aesthetically very pleasing. Rooms are quite spacious as well.

The pillows were a little flat but overall it was a good stay.

Location was good and I would consider staying because of this, but there are areas they can improve.

Since the lobby was so beautiful, I had high expectations for this hotel. But when I went up to the floor of my room, I was really disappointed. It felt very outdated — the carpet was all bunched up, there was a musty smell, and the whole atmosphere was dark. The gap from the lobby was so extreme that I felt like I had wandered into another dimension. Out of curiosity, I checked out the top floor and a few other floors, and they had been renovated in a modern style. So I’m not sure if my floor just hasn’t been renovated yet, or if I simply got stuck on an unlucky floor. Either way, my excitement totally crashed.

It was such a huge surprise to us that the Mark Grand hotel given to us. She was new, clean and stylish. All staffs are very polite.

The staff tried to help with problems created by booking.com

Booking.com blocked my request to cancel one night. The hotel staff tried what they could on their side. Booking.com caused problems on both, even though both sides were willing to find a solution. I STILL have not heard anything back from Booking.com, except for this survey!

The staff were helpful even though we didn't speak Japanese.

The room was small with double bed against the wall.

    10MisatoPosted on: 6-12-2024

I loved the location, close to the trains, shops and supermarkets. On the 2nd floor there is a conviniece store as well, which I found very handy. The room was clean.

It was quiet with little noise. The staff were friendly.

Didn't like that breakfast was paid for

    8UllaPosted on: 9-9-2023

Close to Super Arena. I liked the general design of the hotel, the staff was also very professional.

As a non-japanese speaker the entrance was hard to find. The room was a little worn down in places and a little outdated.

    8YutakaPosted on: 3-29-2023

A Non Buffet style Japanese breakfast was very good.Very convenient location with easy access to the station

Unfortunately, the first floor was in renovation.
