Toyoko Inn Yashio Ekimae

The location is very close to the station and there are plenty of places to eat nearby, plus a bunch of convenience stores within a 2 minute walking radius. There's a decent shopping area very close by too.The staff were friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast was a huge bonus! Don't go in expecting any western foods, though. Think things like Tofu Curry, soup, sardines with mixed vegetables, taro salad, some pastries and pretty awful machine coffee as an idea.The room is suitably sized and the bed is much larger than I anticipated it'd be (I'm 6ft and had plenty of room for activities). There's power outlets all over the place, except right next to the bed.There wasn't much noise at night, so it was easy to have a good sleep. Overall, very much a 4.5 / 5 experience. I won't hesitate to stay here again for my next vacation!

There's very little to complain about if you set your expectations in reality. It's a cheap hotel... These "issues" aren't inherent to the Toyoko Inn, this is pretty much every low cost hotel in Japan. The bed isn't super comfortable, especially the pillow. If you struggle with hard pillows, you won't love this one. The bathroom is quintessential Japanese hotel. Tiny bath / shower, heated toilet with bidet and sink. Not the smallest I've used here by a long shot though. The room was MOSTLY clean. Someone had left a somewhat sticky mess on the front part of the toilet seat (don't want to think what it was), but was easy to clean with the disinfectant soap and toilet paper. It's every so slightly out of the way to get here, but compared to what's closer to Tokyo city centre, I believe it's worth the trade-off for value.

Check all the boxes. Loved the breakfast. Did laundry, great location near train and shopping mall etc. The room size was fine and was quiet and comfortable. Great value and will stay again. Vending machines sell beer. :-)

Not fancy but nice hotel, good beds. Breakfast was also nice if you eat asian food for breakfast. I had a 4 person room and it was spacious enough. The location was not central but with a good metro connection. There are plenty of shops nearby and also restaurants.

Good Japanese breakfast. Menu changes every day. Hotel is very close to Yashio Tsukuba express station. It is very well connected.

Breakfast was lacking, no edible eggs, no fish, awful little hotdogs for meat. Otherwise it's a Toyoko Inn , clean , affordable,and always located right next to the train station. Yashio is an industrial suburb of Tokyo, the Yashio station is very busy and has the typical station mall attached. Fairly close access to the Edo River Cycle road, which is great.

The bed was very hard, no give at all.

It’s very close from the train station. The room was clean. They kept my luggage for me after checkout for a day for free, which was nice. Breakfast was included, and they were all great.

I had two young kids playing in the room with stuffed animals around 8:00 pm and got a phone call from the front desk asking us to be quiet as other guests complained. I guess the walls are thin.

The food is great at the Hotel and food is also cheap near the hotel.. Very accommodating staff and feel comfortable at all times..

The location is little far from city center but its very near to rail station, breakfast is good

very clean.although outside tokyo,just 100m from train station (yashio) and ueno is just 20mins. tokyo station 25mins. if you are coming from narita its just 1.20hrs and there is a route that will avoid rush and people in tokyo.price is very reasonable.decent bfast with variety everyday

I like the staff specially adeline. she understands english and speak english as well. we will definitely go back and stay to this hotel and i really hope adeline will still be there to assist us. their breakfast is good.

Its always fun to stay here in Toyoko Inn Yashio, location is perfect for a peaceful vacation, very close to the train station and mall with a very good food plaza :)

Not all at the reception spoke english, but good thing they have portable translator with them.

Very friendly staff and conveniently located near the station.

I missed some safety features of other hotels, but it was a quiet and safe neighborhood so not a big loss.
