Pros +
- This property has amazing facilities like childcare, fitness classes for adults, I did a perfume making workshop for free, the breakfast is great, the views and location are unbeatable.
- Great location

Cons -
- The room was small.
- Too full - could not get a table for breakfast and seated on top of each other.
- To be honest the value of the hotel compared to other stuff is not what i expected, the rooms were a bit outdated and needs to be renovated again, some of the facilities such as the privit beach and bools were not that satisfying as you need to pay for sun beds each time you want to hit the beach and the pools are located in different floors as som of them are for children and the others are for adults only. You get charged for parking spaces, which I think is becoming a norm in Europe, but it's hard to find a free parking space near the hotel. So the value of the hotel is mainly for its location and staff service, not for the property's rooms or facilities. But with all that said, the hotel management compensated us with a better selection of rooms that have an actual sea view and made it a bit worth it for me and my family.

The hotel's location was breathtaking as it was located on Cala Gladana, as it is one of the best spots on the island. The staff were friendly and supported us during our stay, despite the early disappointment with the property. They managed to find a way to enhance our experience during our stay. The best part is that you can walk around beside the hotel and find many restaurants and shops on the beach that you can enjoy during your stay.

The location, the beach , the facilities
The air condition in the room, very late check in for one of our room was only ready at 4:30pm. The breakfast buffet food didnt taste that good
The View & the Location
The facility is relatively good but not modern and expensive. I didn't feel the value of what I paid.
It was beautiful, good care of the hotel, clean and the best attention!
I loved everything! It was the best honeymoon
Its facilities are modern, its restaurants were fabulous and their breakfast was superb and varied.Above all , it might the best location on the island and every room has a seaside view.
Beautiful property with access to Cala Galdana. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was a music by the bar area everyday we were there. Many restaurant choices.
Not really a dislike per se but just an inconvenience. It was a little far away from sites in the island. A rental car would have been helpful for us.
The location and setting is excellent. The staff are very caring and attentive.
No heated pool.
Melia is a stunning hotel, best location in Cala Galdana. Views are incredible, beach access was easy, live music every night in the hotel bar.
The amazing kids club and person running it Ava.
Seems like the air conditioning was switched off despite the weather still being warm/hot.It ran on 'full-power' all night and I didn't sleep well. Heat and noise.
Staff were amazing. Breakfast was stunning.
Pool area. Paying for sun beds
Location
There aren’t many restaurants ( apart from the ones from the hotel near by) the hotel restaurants are pricey for the food they offer
Variety of food to choose from.Clean and freshly renovated rooms and lobby.
1. Low value for money.. This was the 3rd time we stood in this hotel. Before it was a good 4 star hotel; now it is not good 5 star one.2. the full price was charged up-front upon arrival; begore - it was after staying.3. The a la carte restaurant on a ground floor charged too much regarding an amount of provided food (two small pieces of fish size about 3x5 cm and three potatoes priced nearly 30 euro).4. The shower was extremely inconvenient in operation.5. The shower floor was not deep enough and without a door (by design), so, one has to continuously take care of the water stream direction and water level on the floor.6. Toilettes were liquids filled in the re-fill bottles with now assurance what kind of the shampoo or soap was inside.7. No shower hat was provided (had to buy it by myself) .8. We had bought a half-board plan and found that the dinner did not provide any water, and we had to buy it (a cup of tea was 3 Euro) while 1/3 of guests was from the GB.
I was a little hesitant at booking a big beach chain hotel in a touristy part of the island but on arrival my fears disappeared. We had an exceptional room, albeit it was a junior suite, with the most stunning view of the bay.
My only gripe was the fact that the terraces were not properly screened so you could hear the neighbours, smell their cigarette smoke, and see their lights left on at night.
The Melia was right on the water. Best location of any hotel we saw. Our view was incredible. We had a bottle of wine every night and watched the sun go down. Gorgeous sunsets.
The hotel needs some attention. Paint, etc. Our soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser finally fell off the shower wall after I told the front desk THREE TIMES it was loose. Our toilet felt like it was pulling away from the wall and every time we sat on it I was afraid I’d end up on the floor along with the toilet. They did fix that for us. The floor boards were loose near the pool and especially in the breakfast room. Every time someone walked past our breakfast table and stepped on the loose boards one morning it shook our table so much that our orange juice and coffee spilled until I had to get up and find more napkin to soak up all the spilled liquid. There was a rug right before you went outside to the pool area that we slipped on EVERY time we stepped on it.
Room was great, very comfortable. Breakfast so much to choose from. Both pool areas had plenty of sun beds, towels etc. All areas were so clean . Loads of staff to help in any way who were very welcoming and helpful. Couldn’t fault the hotel. We wanted a chilled relaxing holiday and that’s what we had.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
Location is perfect, right on the beach and not far from airport.
I have been to other Melia hotels but this 5 star hotel is a disappointment for me.room was very narrow, you could not get to the balcony because of the table, probably the smallest tv in 5 star hotel,no usb ports in the sockets, gaps in the laminate flooring, not great choice for breakfast and dinner.parking too expencive and the pool not attractive.
The location is perfect, stunning beach and view, very helpful staff, very nice room. We got upgraded which was very nice of them
I didn’t like the food, neither the room service nor the restaurants. The breakfast was good though
