    Cons -

    • The property does not have any parking available. The directions to parking areas off-site that are on the hotel’s website are confusing and/or inaccurate. We ended up parking in a municipal lot about a 10 minute walk away.
    • No access for cars to drop or pick up luggage.
    • The hotel is on the harbour and slightly away from the old town. But the Porcelain room where we stayed was right opposite the steps from the old town. Which apparently is the hangout place for youngsters way past midnight. It was so noisy we could hear even the steps of people walking. We had opened the windows because we wanted some coolair as the road on was so hot at night. Do we had to choose between noisy room or hot. Most important aspect of a room on is not the size but the layout. The upstairs part of this room had a bed and a few hangers. Side tables were so small and there was no mirror or another table to put our stuff. If we needed the bathroom at night there were 2 flights of very steep stairs that lead to the bathroom. Which meant if you go to the toilet in the middle of the night you are fully awake otherwise you’re ready for a bad fall.Secondly the downstairs has sufficient room for a sofa bed but it was a big sofa that was just covered with a sheet and a pillow. And had a table and two small beanbags soooo low!! Not comfortable to sit together. Only one chair that was comfortable. The shower door couldn’t close as the rubber seal was so dry wouldn’t shut so if you had a shower the room was like a river !!

The location and views were stunning. The hotel is located on a quieter corner of town with a beautiful view of the Old Venetian Harbor. The reception staff were very professional, helpful, and accommodating. Based on availability, the hotel upgraded my room (for free) to the master suite overlooking the harbor! This was such an appreciated surprise and totally unexpected. 10/10 experience from price, customer service, cleanliness, and location!

This is not the first time I am staying at Ambassadors hotel and this is the reason why: Everything was amazing once again, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Trying their best to accommodate their guests. The hotel is located at the old port of the town and it is always nice to have a stroll around and be amazed by the beauty of the scenery. The room was clean and tidy, as well as, with beautiful aesthetic. Once again, we would choose Ambassadors hotel for our stay in Chania town.

Location breakfast and staff were fantastic. Especially the people like Maria and Theodora. They listened to my complain about the layout of the room, noise and the temperature very patiently. And were most helpful.

The location was great for walking the city and harbor, but it was tough to find, and parking was unavailable.

Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. The WiFi worked well, it was centrally located and the breakfast at the cafe attached to the property was very good.

After the first night the room had a sewer problem, so we were stunk out and we were moved to another smaller room, but with a nicer sea/harbour view for two nights, then we were moved to another smaller room in a sister hotel called Scala Faro Hotel 400 metres away. This is where we stayed for our remaining four nights. The room was an upgrade, bigger, still overlooking the sea/harbour and lighthouse. The changes were a very big hassle but at least is was an improvement. The staff of both hotels were very helpful which made it less stressful.

We love the hotel! This is a return visit, each room is beautifully and uniquely designed, the location is amazing, on the marina, a few steps from the old harbour. The staff was very accommodating. An experience to remember

The room we stayed was amazing. The perfect view facing the old port and the lighthouse. The bed was comfortable and the architecture of the building was exquisite. We felt welcome and Maria at the reception was very helpful and polite. She suggested all the good local restaurants for dining out, cute little cafes and rooftop cocktail bars. We would definitely visit the beautiful town of Chania again and choose to stay at the Ambassador’s Residence Boutique Hotel.

amazing views, from the harbor facing roomscentral location, within very easy walking distance of all the sights, restaurants and barsMaria was super welcoming and so helpful

breakfast in the restaurant below was okay, probably more contemporary options available nearby that would better reflect what you would expect for the room price

    3KevinPosted on: 9-6-2024

    The morning receptionist was wonderful

A disturbing prison feeling to the room. Mold smells. Way too expensive for the city. Much nicer places are available

    10EddiePosted on: 8-29-2024

Great staff, great location, great room. Our room was the roof top suite fantastic views of the harbour and the old town.

    9SallyPosted on: 8-7-2024

Fresh, clean, very helpful staffBeautiful rooms

A place to sit and have drinks- had to go to the restaurant around the front of the building

    9DrPosted on: 7-24-2024

The property is in an ideal location and Maria at the reception is exceptionally nice she was very helpful and accommodating. When we came there was some trouble with our shutters in one room and there was no blinds so the light would come in early morning, therefore they gave us many alternative options and we were very pleased in the end.

The main windows sometimes didn’t have blinds They don’t have a communal lounging area which is out of the heat, also no swimming pool etc

    8StephenPosted on: 7-4-2024

    great location and friendly staff

no car parking, and access to / from a taxi was a 5-minute walk with luggage, with stairs to the front door
