Quiet. Good breakfast choice with options pre-ordered the evening before. Plenty of parking behind the premises. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our stay so couldn't rate it. We ate in Venlo (15 minutes drive) after a visit to the museum. We took "the small room" which was actually plenty large enough. Tea & coffee making facility in the room. Location convenient for Arcen, Kastelltuinen gardens & Venlo.

It was a stormy windy night and the shutter hooks rattled, could easily be dampened (;>)

Beautiful room. Great location, 10 minute walk from the best gardens weve ever visited. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent location with lovely walks in the forest next to the hotel. Friendly and flexible staff, very good breakfast. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Village Arcen within walking distance.

The spacious room and bathroom. The bathroom and toilet are separate which is convenient for just in case situations. Towels were perfect just as the beds. Coffee tasted good in the room. Breakfast was good enough. Ambience of the accomodation as well as the breakfast section was nice. Staff super friendly even when we arrived a bit late in the evening and that the key was left in a cabinet outside and a note posted on the reception entrance door for us. Plus it came in handy it was near the Arcen Castlegarden we planned to visit (1 minute drive).

This is not a dislike but more an idea. Perhaps a electric fan in the room especially during the hot days. Windows can't always be opened or stay opened due to the road being nearby.

Disappointing and no value for money although the price was as high as a comfortable B&B.

Breakfast was the worse I have ever experienced. It was Easter Sunday and the eggs were hard and cold, coffee from a can, bread thin and tasteless, no fresh fruit. There were no glasses in the room to brush your teeth, the shower leaked, the ventilation was noisy and could not be turned off; the room was dirty and very outdated, laminate torn. My family left in the middle of the night and had no breakfast. When I asked for a refund it was refused in a respectless manner. There was no service whatsoever. I felt extremely offended as a customer and will never come back to this place.

The room is excellent, clean and comfortable with an efficient wifi. We use this as a staging post between the UK and Germany. It is sad that the restaurant is no longer open but there are alternatives and the breakfast is very good, so all in all it remains a very satisfactory stay.

Very large family room with 4 beds, sofa, separate toilet and bathroom. Friendly, helpful staff, safe cycle storage, breakfast included . Good restaurants 15 minutes walk away.

Upstairs room was up a long flight of fire escape stairs which were tough to carry luggage up and down

Overall, easily the worst place that I have booked through Booking.com my wife and I stayed at. Breakfast was not available within the promised time. As a result, we left the property without breakfast but paid our invoice, which included breakfast, in full as agreed when the booking was made. No adjustment was offered for breakfast not being available as promised. The external all-metal staircase to our room on the first floor is unsuitable for the majority of guests or travellers. There is no lift at the property. In Room No.2 my wife and I stayed, the bathroom wash basin plug was stuck in closed position. When I managed to lift it open (with a lot of difficulty) water drained away very, very slowly. Then the plug dropped back to closed. We have never met the propriety/manager previously and the comments I make here are without prejudice. The beds and the linen were clean and WiFi connection worked well. It makes me sad to recommend that Booking.com investigate this hotel without delay to ensure that necessary improvements are made to bring it up to an acceptable standard.

Please see above.No lift / all-meatal external staircase to the upper floor unsuitable and hazardous / bathroom must be in working order / Continental breakfast offered for the price should be available during the hours promised. The ground surrounding the property at back the with tables and chairs are in urgent need of cleaning and tidying up.We have stayed in many hotels in Holland over the years which have all fulfilled our expectations. We regret that we have to rate this property as the worst in our experience.
