Lake Swimming is not an option in winter
Perfect location on the edge of the lake, lovely breakfast and very quiet.
A kettle in the room, would have been good.
Super position in beautiful area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant food super, for both breakfast and dinner. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome.
We would have liked a kettle in the room, but we had our own flasks which were filled with hot water for us each day.
I liked the location of the hotel. Helpful staff.
There is a bad smell in the room from the shower cabin. There is a strong sound between the rooms. The breakfast menu was boring and there was practically no fresh vegetables. It was not possible to order dinners (the reason is too much busyness, there is no free table).
very friendly staff, nice hotel, excellent room with a view (seaside), very good restaurant
relax room cold and uncomfortable
Location superb especially when you have (winter) sun in once of the nice rooms with a view on the lake, ideal spot for a walk or run along or around the Fuschl lake; rooms are very quite and a nix mixture between traditional Austrian country style and modern hotel look
Breakfast from 8.30 to 10.00 possibly a bit too early for not so early birds over the weekend (;
Stayed in October (offseson) and really enjoyed my stay, as the hotel and the place were not crowded
Location was very good with a regular bus service to Salzburg and Bad Ischl. A comfortable stay with friendly enough staff.
Location of our room beside a storage area for the cleaners made for noise from 7.00am each morning. We were left with a bit of a sour taste regarding the ordering of a taxi on the evening before our departure. Sorted in the end but initially told that ordering the taxi the previous evening at around 7.00pm was too short notice.
Beautiful hotel and village, prefect location for touring the area of Austria. Very comfortable room which a nice size.

The location is perfect. The hotel is literally by the lake and has its own private lake area. The location is not too far from Salzburg and a great starting point for exploring all attractions is the area. Breakfast buffet is excellent
Be aware that there is no AC and the rooms are "old style" , and not modern city Hotel, means there is coffee machine or frig in the room
All aspects of the hotel were perfect. Idyllic location by the lake. All meals were of the highest quality, staff very friendly.
Everything was perfect.
Location. It looked onto the lake and had direct access for swimming.
I would have liked weights in the gym.
Room with balcony overlooking the lake was totally worth the extra cost!!! Very comfortable and spacious room. Breakfast was a feast every morning, I look forward to it every morning. Dinner was great most of the time. Best thing I like about the hotel was a sauna area, such a treat to relax in the sauna before jumping into the cold lake for a refreshing dip!Family run establishment, excellent English
Can’t think of any
Lovely and welcoming Austrian styled chalet overlooking a pristine lake with beautiful views, in a quiet small town close to Salzburg. The 1/2 board included delicious dinners that varied each evening with a lovely presentation. Breakfast was also plentiful with a variety of choises. The hotel was impeccably clean with a courteous & professional staff. Would highly recommend.
The mattress and pillows were a bit too soft for us.
The hotel itself is amazing. The décor, the atmosphere, the facilities and cleanliness are without fault.
The staff however could work slightly more on warmer attitude towards the clients.
- excellent staff - the kindest we’ve met in Austria so far- comfy bed- food was great
- we’ve missed a kettle in our room
The location was brilliant. Very beautiful, overlooking the lake. The breakfast was nice, with a good selection of food.
The bathroom floor had a lot of long black hairs on it,and in the shower upon arrival. The toilet bowl was stained. The owner was very abrupt and unfriendly at times, which unfortunately tarnished our stay. A kettle and tea making facilities and a fridge would of been welcome.
The terrace is large & in a beautiful position overlooking the lake. Plenty of seats, loungers & sun umbrellas. Hotel immaculately clean. Meals very good. Staff are attentive & helpful. Hotel only a very short walk from bus stop.Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
As there is no air conditioning it would have been helpful to have a fan in the room. (It may be that they are available - admittedly, we didn't ask). Care needs to be taken getting into the lake from the terrace - the rocks at the foot of the steps are slippery & uneven.
