Hotel&Wirtshaus Sonne

Located at the centre of the village. Super central location close to the lake promenade. Hotel has a bar at the garden, local citizens come for beer pint in the evening. Good breakfast with a good variety of bread, yogurts, jams, eggs, fruit salad.

Hotel insists on cash payment only. Staff doesn’t speak English. Food at the hotel’s garden restaurant was not tasty. Beer is good. Sauna should be included for free for guests. The garden could have hammocks and some music in the evening.

Breakfast was quite good. Staff were lovely and the location was nice.

Very old fashioned decor. The shower temperature was not consistent. Bed was really uncomfortable and there were a lot of wasps around. The price was high as it was August and it didn’t feel like good value.

TV didnt work, bed was making noise by every move of my body, the door to the balcony were broken, there was also beautiful spider in the net in the door corner,

This place near Attersee is just wonderful if you like water and mountains. Although the hotel is next to the road, it was peaceful there. The stuff is professional, very kind and helpful. If you also eat at the restaurant, all I had was delicious and their apple cake is just top one.

The rooms are massive, the staff and the breakfast are excellent. In the evening there is a limited menu in the restaurant but it contains all the favourites like Goulash and Schnitzel and the portions are large and reasonably priced.

For low season, early May I thought the room was on the expensive side but it did come with free parking which these day is rare to find

Well, I don't usually give a ten out of ten marking but our stay here was superb the facilities were great and the staff were excellent and could not be faulted, the rooms are very spacious and the food was great.

Peta and staff provided a 5 staff service and food was out of this world. Room was clean and very comfortable, location and views were picture postcard.

Rooms were very warm and pillow was odd.

Great guesthouse quite close to the lake. You do have to peek a bit to see the lake from the hotel but you can walk to it easily. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. I'm generally getting to breakfast at the end but there is still always plenty for me to choose from. The staff also doesn't try to rush you out of breakfast and just lets you eat. They also have a good system where your room is assigned a breakfast table which eliminates that tired wandering around looking for a free spot and then leaving some sort of item on the table that you'd probably rather not leave behind. This is a great idea!

The restaurant closes at 20:00. That is my only gripe. They will serve you drinks much later than that though. It's only a problem when you're arriving late.

Wonderful, very nice staff. Breakfast was alright and the location is good to go for a hike or just to chill by the lake. Truly recommend!

Location is perfect

On arrival we ask for breakfast, which was not possible to book online and they offer special price 2.5E as discounted price. During checkout they ask us to pay full price 14EUR for breakfast. This was not very nic surprise.They do not accept credit cards!

Excellent service, staff and facilities great location

The staff are really friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and well sized. The location is incredible.

You only get a bar of soap per person in the bathroom. This could be easily be marketed as a plus point if there was a small note explaining it such as, 'Dear guests, you may have noticed we offer solid soaps in small boxes with no plastic? Help us to save the environment and cut down on microplastics that are often found in liquid soaps that end up in our water sources!'A small note would get people on board instead of making the soap look cheap. IMHO
