Pros +
- This is a beautiful property and location with many amenities with the pool, saunas, kid areas, and games.
- We had a great stay in Jungholz. The hotel was super family friendly and offered so much. We can definitely recommend this place. As a family or adults only you will have a great stay. Bar in house and family as well as separate adult only sauna area make this place special for anyone. The breakfast buffet has the biggest selection I’ve ever seen and definitely will offer something for even the pickiest eaters.
- We were thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly those in the restaurant, who struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion. The food was of outstanding quality, and the half-board option offered a wide range of delicious options at both breakfast and dinner, catering to various tastes and dietary needs, including fish, meat, pasta, vegetarian, and a kids' menu. The facilities were immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. Our entire family, especially the kids, had a fantastic time enjoying the indoor swimming pool and the outdoor jacuzzi. Additionally, the playroom for children was a fantastic amenity, providing endless entertainment for them. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the complimentary alcohol-free drinks stations, which added to the overall sense of hospitality. Furthermore, the option to make sandwiches for lunch takeaway at a minimal cost was a convenient and welcome bonus, allowing us to easily plan our day trips. All of these details were greatly appreciated and contributed to a truly enjoyable stay.
Cons -
- Overall, I was very satisfied with everything, and it's hard to find fault. However, if I had to nitpick, I'd say that the beds were a bit too soft, but that's a minor quibble.
- The only small thing was the water temperature of the whirlpool which was a little too cold for us as well as the inside pool was only around 27 degrees, but this was mentioned on the website.
- The most picturesque sauna was closed for maintenance.

We had a great time! The location is beautiful with a stunning view and the facilities are great! Our room was huge (room 212) and very clean. The whole hotel was super clean and well organized. We were very happy about how dog friendly the hotel is and the staff made the stay for us three adorable. The spa area was very nice and also the breakfast and dinner were good. All in all we had a beautiful stay with a lot of opportunities (pool, spa, gym, walks, free non-alcoholic drinks and huge room) for an affordable price.

- The facilities really invite to relax. - The picture of the whirlpool doesn't make justice to how beautiful is being there and having such amazing view- Great system of having assigned the same table at the restaurant throughout the entire stay- Staff was beyond kind- I loved the room had a nice stencil of a reindeer instead of those classic ugly horns and skulls hanging in the walls- the breakfast had a huge variety
Location of the hotel. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is good.
Dinner,swimming pool,whirl-pool,location
Excellent food for breakfast and lunch. The kitchen was always around to supply the buffet with fresh and delicious food. The cooking was just what I expected from that location, without all the extra frills and trendy trimmings. Ample stuff to do for the kids.
The most picturesque sauna was closed for maintenance.
Largerooms, good location
Beds were too soft and not comfortable.
Amazing view through the window. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The corridor was quite dirty, there was a lot of dust in the doors. The breakfast was not very good.
Very clean and staff was friendly and change of room due to allergy of birke was done arranged quickly and very friendly. Surroundings beautifull, we can only imagine how winter must look like with snow etc.
It is a large hotel which gives somewhat feeling of being massive, and lot of families There was only buffet for dinner and we decided to walk 15 minutes to a restaurant as we prefer a la carte
It’s a bit of a vintage style hotel, very cozy yet everything was clean and well kept. Beautiful sights from the room, excellent breakfast and dinner buffets. Enough play activities for kids, inside and outside. Staff was very warm and welcoming. Great pool area and outside jacuzzi with mountain backdrop is like a dream.
Not much, everything was great. The only thing maybe: beds were a bit on the soft side, the sofa of our child was more comfortable in our opinion. The water in the main pool was a bit cold.
It was clean, the familiyroom was very nice and the view was amazing.
Missed aircondition
Great hotel for families introducing their kids to skiing. Set in Jungholz, Austria, just a 5-10min walk to the ski lifts (and 2min drive), with family rooms that included bunk beds for the kids. The hotel is old-timey but well maintained. Beautiful wood carvings, painted accents, and light fixtures. The pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, and plenty of lounge chairs were a hit. The kids made new friends in the play room in the back of the restaurant, and it was great to have all day access to juice/soda/coffee/tea. Take some time to explore the hotel, along the halls of the first floor there are many completed Lego sets on display. There is also a fitness room below the play room, with a ninja rope and climbing tree. We got the half board which included dinners, and IT WAS FANTASTIC. The menu each night was clever, with traditional foods, eastern European foods, and some Asian influences. The kid menu was popular also, and nightly ice cream was a hit. It is served buffet style, which usually lowers my expectations for food, but literally every single thing was delicious and we kept going back for more. Like 5 restaurant-worthy entrees each night (2 meat, 1 fish, and 2 vegetarian options). The hotel has covered parking in a garage that is detached from the hotel, and inside the garage there were ~10 electric vehicle charging spots. Ultimately we probably paid $400/night but that included breakfast and (delicious) dinner for our family of 4 (2 young kids). People can lounge in the bar area before and after dinners, and check out games from the front desk (we brought our own). There is a cat who sits at the reception desk after 8p (her name is Meowy) and several other people had dogs (our children were excited). Everyone at the hotel was friendly and several returned yearly. This was our first visit but we are big fans.
Very small things. The lighting inside the rooms were dark, and the bathroom was small. There was only one small garbage can in the bathroom for our whole room. The blankets were also rather small. You have to request bathrobes for the pool from the front desk, and there are no kid sized robes. The halls were pretty chilly. you could hear if (kid) guests above you or outside were running down the halls . Honestly these were small things; the mattresses were very comfortable and we found the maintenance quite good and the entire hotel very charming.
Beautiful area, safe, great for outdoor family events. Hotel and facilities were nice but far too expensive.
Price.
The staff is nice. It was a convenient location for us in proximity to friends. We booked last minute and it was well priced. There is a pool but we did not have time to use it.
There weren't many choices for breakfast. The coffee was not very good. The place is a bit dated.
Location, saunas, variety of dinners, view from room 222 amazing
Considerable amount of mould in the shower.A dead\squashed crane fly on the wall that hadn't been removed before we checked in and remained there the entire stay (I was hoping the cleaning staff would notice t eventually). Silverfish in bathroom. The lift next to our room wasn't working the entire week. There is no Sommercard which is typically offered by hotels in the region, making day trips much more expensive. Not enough environmental considerations - individually packed soaps and shampoos, water saving devices not fitted everywhere, towels collected and washed daily (no sign\option to "opt out" if towels are hung up).For 340€\night (incl. Breakfast & Dinner) the hotel was far too old and run down for my liking
Staff, environment were v good. Breakfast excellent. We had a birthday for one of the children and the staff had a cake and bucks fizz for parents. The staff amde a real effort above and beyond what was expected.
Do not change!
Not value for money
Extremely overpriced. Room like a 2-star facility but for 180Eur/night. Reception not staffed as of 20.00 on a Sat. Buffet dinner only - and only available until 21.00. No bar, no room service. Large complex that has seen better days.
Very nice and rustic hotel. The rooms are also nice, clean and big.Several facilities included (pool, sauna), playground for the kids. The location is nice with great views. We booked last minute, when searching for a place to stay in the area and were pleased with what we found. Definitely something to return to.
Wi-fi signal is low and doesn't reach the rooms. You need to stay in the hallway. Our room door closed a bit harder.
