Pros +

  • Fantastic staff lovely girl on reception and fantastic waitress. Great food and fantastic views from our room. Absolutely brilliant.
  • Great newly renovated hotel (at least part where we stayed), friedly staff, big rooms and balcony. Brekfast was nice, kitchen for dining was also exceptionally good. If you are lucky, you get a room with a view for mountains and Krimml watterfalls. If you are less fortunate, there is a terrace on the last floor, where you can enjoy the same view. The location is high in mountains, very quite, pieceful. Views on mountains are breathtaking. The hotel provided us with "Sommercard", that gave us free passes for almost all locations around, very generous and usefull one.
  • Excellent breakfast and service! Dinner was prepared by the chef and presented accordinglyEnglish menus were written up by the staff as a courtesy to us. We'll done!

Cons -

  • Nothing all excellent.
  • there is nothing to really complain about. The only thing to pay attention is - so high in mountains you do need a car. To get to Krimml village yu need to drive down into the valley for about 10-15 minutes, not a big deal. But this means, in summer next to the hotel there are no shops or other alternatives to eat.
  • Spa schedules were off-season. Understandable!

Amazing views of alpine peak, and largest waterfall in Europe.Modern rooms with expansive balcony.

We had a very nice and spacious room with a balcony and beautiful view of the Krimml waterfall. We appreciate very good breakfast and dinner. The waterfall is just a short drive away.

Location was the honestly the best point, the e-bike rental was great. Also the owners were very accommodating with our need to check in at a late hour (10:30 pm).

Restaurant price to performance value was not what I would expect.

Location and the view makes this hotel worth the visit. Ski slopes and cross-country skiing trails just across the road - fantastic! Rooms are renovated, bathrooms unfortunately without enough surface to put your personal toiletries. Breakfast is good, but they are not keeping up the pace with the refill.

I would expect employees to be kinder (more engaging). Bright exception was the lady at the reception.

Friendly staffWere keen to fulfil any reasonable requestsFamily runMade a nice birthday dessert for my boyfriend's birthdayCatered well for lactose free meals / food alternativesComfortable bedAlthough we visited in the summer, for the winter time, this hotel is directly beside a ski school, and in walking distance of skiing possibilitiesGreat food (at dinner time) quite a good selection at breakfast time tooBlack out curtains in the bedroomsGreat view from the roomFast response from the hotel when I contacted them on here

It's almost difficult to think of something I didn't like, but although we communicated only in english on here on booking, the staff all spoke only German. My partner is German, so that was fine for him, but it made me feel a little bit left out in all of the communication, because my German is not very good. Because I also rang and spoke to one of the staff members on the phone, and because when I was paying for extras at the end of the stay, the man spoke in english, I can confirm that the staff there do speak German, when they want to ;)
