Pros +
- Great location, lovely staff, amazing views from the room and breakfast area.
- The owner is simply amazing, helpful. The room with a view. Unique. The amazing healthy breakfast.
- The outside building, we choose not to stay bc, although they advertise to have parking is only four spaces. We were told to drive around, we did for 30 minutes and we did not find space in the street or in the port. There is no public paid parking at all. They should state this fact I their listing, and that is the most important factor we look for, when we choose a Hotel. This is deceptive advertising
Cons -
- Nothing of significance
- NO PARKING at all not even public paid parking. We were so frustrated, that we decided not to stay in that city, there was no parking in the street not even 1 km from the hotel.
- Check in was difficult only because we didn’t know how to get a car close to the door. We saw other cars dropping off luggage later and we finally figured out how to do that.

The view of the ocean is incredible! You can hear the waves if the window is open, but the windows keep sound down very well. Room is small, but large enough to sit and enjoy the view. Mirrors on the closet does which is nice. Good water pressure in the shower. Breakfasts were good too!

The room was very spacious with incredible views of the beach and sea. Staff were all very helpful
We would have liked to stay longer!
I liked its history and the warm welcome and the views put to the beach and sea were stunning .
Perhaps a little expensive as so out of season.
Ideal location, great value, friendly and kind staff, fantastic views
Wonderful staff, fantastic location in historic building, very comfortable rooms. Beautiful common areas with incredible view, books to read, etc.
No coffee maker in room ?
Staff was very nice. Breakfast was very good.
toilet seat needed a fix and the shower was very small
Perfect location! Friendly, clean and beautiful hotel! Sea views were excellent!
The beds were comfortable, but I love memory foam mattress beds more.
Excellent friendly staff. Perfect location in old town. Beautifully restored building
Our room was huge with a massive window giving a superb view of the surfing beach way below. The hotel was in an old building and our room had interesting antique furniture. A great location for harbour beaches and town centre.
A very spacious and comfortable room in a lovely hotel in the middle of Getaria. Very good facilities in the room, including a small fridge (mini bar) and tea/coffee making, and the bathroom was a good size too. The room had roll down shutters and windows that could be left slightly open, which was great for keeping the room cool at night, and being able to listen to the waves on the beach. If we returned to Getaria we'd almost certainly try and stay at this hotel again, despite it being a little above our normal budget. It's well located for restaurants and bars, but in a different street so is fairly quiet.
There's no parking at the hotel (unsurprisingly given the hotel's location and the narrowness of the streets), so we parked near the beach, which is a 10-15 minute walk up (up hill). Our room was directly above the hotel's shared space for guests - noise travelled easily to our room.
Wonderful hotel in an ancient building in this charming town. Amazing views. Super helpful and nice staff. Spacious rooms. Breakfast was good. Highly recommended. Parking is available through the hotel nearby.
Nothing, except the AC was outdated and therefore a bit loud.
Extremely welcoming and helpful reception. Wonderful sea view from terrace and breakfast room.
No coffee and tea in room.
Beautiful location,.loved the room. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.
Coffee in the room would have.been nice.
This was a treat! Small but beautiful hotel, family owned with fantastic views and great location. We enjoyed the hospitality of Mikel and his stuff: Boubacar and Ainara. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Hotel offers breakfast which was great and also wine and other drinks. It is very nicely decorated and reflects its history and the period when the original property was built. We will absolutely comeback to this place.Thank you.
This hotel in on the sea and has a beautiful view. It is clean, quiet and comfortable.
The staff were friendly and the room was clean. Great location.
It was expensive and breakfast was extra, but the price reflected the amazing view and location of the hotel.
A lovely hotel with a cosy feel and within walking distance to everything you need. It was lovely to have a sea view and to be able to listen to the sea while relaxing in the room or the shared balcony. Really friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely come back.
