Pros +
- Access, scenery, friendly staff.
- The location was excellent for cross country skiing at Somport. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent and featured a great menu of the day with large portions. The spa and massage were nice and priced fairly. The facilities were great- bar, reading room, extra dining room, sitting rooms.
- Staff was extremely helpful and nice.Location is excellent.
Cons -
- Consistent with all of Europe, the primary dinner menu isn't offered early enough.
- We struggled to get the in-room Thermostat to work correctly. Simple solution- slept with the window open.
- The price of the Spa - 25 EUR per hour is really high. The steam spa needed a proper clean (tiles and overall).

Good location. Nice bedroom. Massage was fabulous!!
We didn’t enjoy our meal at restaurant sadly. Put is off eating there again. We also felt the $E 25 per person for spa pool was a little steep.
Breakfast made up for the dinner. Lots of choices.
One waiter for an entire dinning room and guests is unacceptable
Lovely property in a great location just south of the Somport Tunnel from Spain to France. Really convenient to break our long journey. Our room was really comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly. We didn’t eat at the hotel but the menu for dinner looked amazing, and there was an option for breakfast too but we had to make an early start. We also didn’t have time to enjoy the pool, gym or spa facilities.
The air conditioning was switched off centrally at midnight which meant our room was rather stuffy by the morning, but we had been warned about this at check-in.
Clean, beautiful, friendly staff, excellent dinner and breakfast
Comfortable room with good quality fixtures, very nice bathroom, excellent showerDinner was good value for a 4 star hotel, a good choice of well prepared dishesBreakfast was a very good assortment of both hot & cold food
Parking was a little hit or miss, probably worse during high season.
A very nice room; as they weren’t too busy we were given an upgrade (mountain view) without extra charge
Evening meal was mediocre
We liked everything about the hotel, including the service and the comfortable, spacious rooms. The location is quite co
It has good location for skiing
As many other comments said, this is NOT a 4 star and i would say barely a 2 star. I am not sure how they got this rating. The beds are tiny and uncomfortable, broken in the middle with terrible mattresses; the rooms are badly isolated with fake walls and you can hear everything from other rooms, even clear conversation so it is hard to sleep; there are no amenities in the room, just a small bottle of gel/shampoo, no lotion no conditioner no shower gel; but the worst is the service. They say they have a spa, it is not a spa. There is one small jacuzzi that is never free, no sauna or steam room, a few massages rooms. So you cant use the spa. There is nothing to eat for skiiers. Only a small cafeteria is open at 8pm for food. Otherwise from 10am to 8 pm there is no place to eat or have a coffee. They only have like a few bad donuts and the likes when you come back skiing at 5. Never seen that in a 4 star hotel. As many other comments said the breakfast is appalling. At 10 am it closes and they throw you out. First day i went at 945 because i didnt know it was closing at 10 ( it is so early close). She said they are closing at 10 so i said i will just have a quick coffee and some bread and jam. She charged me 25 euros and at 10 on the dot told me we needed to leave. Not a second more past 10am. i didnt get to eat the bread… so 25 euros for a coffee. That is the kind of things you see in hostals honestly. Next day, my husband went at 9. There was no eggs for 35 mins, everybody waiting for it getting upset. All of the tables were dirty and full of dirty plates, there was no where to sit even though the tables were empty, so my husband had to clean a side of a table to sit. There is nothing bar, you can only get basic alcohol, they had 1 type of beer only, no cocktails or anything you would expect in a 4 star. Just cheap things. It is a complete scam for the price, we paid 1500 almost for 3 days. I would give it a 2 star level hotel.
Beautiful location in the Pyrenees. Helpful and Friendly staff. Excellent food and a wonderful spa.
When I booked this I did not realise that the pass into France was closed just beyond. They gave us the option to cancel, but we decided to stay there anyway and backtrack the next day to the Col du Pourtalet pass, which was spectacular. We did not make use of the Spa and the pool was closed for the season. The evening meal was good and the breakfast had a very comprehensive selection. The Room and hotel was all very clean and modern.
All good
Great location, very central, good breakfast options and friendly staff.
Very clean, good facilities, great location, great view from room
It was a beautiful hotel. Very nice staff, and food was great. Beautiful location. Spotless clean and huge comfortable bed.
Everything, super, staff, room location
We only had two days there
Location, close to tunnelComfortRoom facilitiesBreakfast
Modern, clean and comfortable.
Strange absence of signs to direct us from the road to the hotel and then to reception. Why are they so secretive?
Location good a few minutes into Canfanc, the staff at reception were great and friendly escorted us to the lift. Room large good shower with tea and coffee a plus for Spain. Evening meal and breakfast good. Parking on the hotels grounds for motorcycles or on the street outside the hotel.
