Hotel Garni - Haus Gemmer

Breakfast was simple but always fresh and satisfying. The staff makes you a fresh coffee pot for your table every time. The room was very clean, spacious and VERY quiet.

The pillows were very flat. I had to use the extra bedspread as an extra pillow.

This is a nice modern hotel. Rooms are modern and clean. Ample free on-site parking. Hotel has a lift. Nice staff and very good breakfast. Mini Bar in room has a nice selection of drinks at great prices (beer 1.50 Euro and schnapps for 2 Euros). City Center is about 10 minutes away by foot.

No Problems.

We had a large room, high ceilings, absolutely clean, large bed. Tasty breakfast. The lady of charge was very friendly. The location is excellent -- 15 min or less by foot to the historical city centre. 10 min by car to the famous Veste of Coburg, the fortress-museum with a lot of collections, incl. Lucas Cranach the Older and a special courtyard of old canons!

Everything was brilliant.

The hotel is situated 10 minutes from the railway station, within walking distance. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood. It has two buildings connected by bridges and an elevator.The room was very cosy with all the necessary things.The bathroom was big with a very practical shower.The breakfast was extraordinary! First, you have a huge choice of bakery products, followed by a meat and cheese selection. There was also yoghurt, cereals, muesli, ...The staff was extra polite and helpful.

Fair to Okay Place......

The Showerhead was "Zip-Tied" to the wall, facing the wall, so that you could not take a regular shower...... The staff did not see this as a problem, but for a guest that wants to take a shower, it is problematic....Road Construction made it a challenge to get to.Not well marked facility.Parking is Absolutely Insufficient.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, nice room. Check-in after reception hours with the code was very uncomplicated. Location was good, not far from the station.

The beds could use new mattresses. Wifi was very difficult to connect and not working properly. I requested a printed receipt during check-out and was told it would have to be sent by e-mail later since I had paid through booking.com. This has never been an issue at other hotels. I still haven't received it and will have to contact them and ask again, which is an avoidable inconvenience. I should have been given a printed receipt as requested, this is common practice.

Easy check in, clean comfortable room, good breakfast.

The room was not air conditioned, although we did not need it, maybe in summer it could be a bit warm in the room.

Clean and good location, close to the park, the cinema, city center.Good breakfast and friendly staff, also had enough space for parking.

The bathroom doors were quite old and did not close well, making some annoying noise but this did not make a big difference. One of the smaller rooms did not have an outside window and did not ventilate well, the light in the room was also quite poor. The other 2 rooms were okThere was road works on the street and we were lucky to leave on the day when the bigger noise and hassle started.

Good Parking. Nice breakfast. Easy walk from the centre.

Good sized room and well appointed. Able to store my bike in their garage, for which I was given my own key. Around a 10 min walk from town centre.

No aircon, but weather was exceptionally hot (35+ degrees). I was in room 54, and this was affected by road noise with the windows open.

WiFi wasn’t great (only 500mb available, which I used in a ten minute internet call), but that wasn’t a huge deal as I was only there overnight

location was quiet and only 10 minute walk to city center, convenient also to the castle. very nice staff. parking was generous and hotel was easy to get to without hassle of driving through a city center.

the parking might need to be gated as there were a few work vans parked in the parking area,resting perhaps, late in the evening, and leaning up against my car, so I watched from the window after speaking to them, not sure how late they stayed but they were gone in early morning, I’m pretty sure they were not staying at the hotel as they hung out in and around the vehicle mostly.. luckily no scratches appeared on the car, so it was somewhat harmless but concerning to me.

A 10min walk from the town centre. Parking usually provides enough spaces. Breakfast is well stocked usually with ample seats - there are sections that can be opened and closed on demand. Finally, staff are all really nice and helpful. I arrived after check-in hours but there is a lock box to collect your key and all information was accurate and timely when communicating via email and the app.

All I would say, whilst a fan was supplied in the room, for hotter nights, the lack of Air Conditioning will not be good for some/most people. In this instance, early June, nights were still cool enough.Oh, the TV only has something like three channels in English, two is CNN and BBC.

Good location, extremely nice staff, great breakfast, and good price.
