Pros +
- Easily accessible by car. Close to the city center. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds.
- We've stayed at Vienna House Easy Coburg quite a few times, and were very happy with it once again. Our rooms (2) were very large, well appointed and pleasant, with lots of storage shelves and hangers, and we were not disturbed by noise, even though an annual meeting of college fraternities was in town. Breakfast was exceptionally good, with assiduous service. The garage offers plenty of sheltered parking and only costs 12 Euros a night extra. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make us comfortable (extra pillows, for example). You can even opt not to have your room serviced daily and get a small reward (an apple, a natural soda) in return! And on the third floor landing there's a large assortment of plants among which you can choose to make your lodging that much more pleasant during your stay. A whimsical bonus I've found nowhere else!
- Very nice place to stay in Coburg. The rooms were bright, clean and spacious for two people. The breakfast buffet was also nice to start your day.
Cons -
- The front desk guy need to work on his behavior
- For us, Vienna House Easy Coburg's biggest downside is that it has no air conditioning. We were able to book for the first week of June because the temperatures were cool, otherwise we would have had to look elsewhere. Also, you have to climb in and out of a bathtub to use the shower, not optimal. But otherwise, we had no complaints whatsoever.
- Alas, no air conditioning, but in March that makes no difference at all!

I've stayed at the Vienna House Easy quite a few times. It's worth paying the little bit extra for a lounge room, but even the standard rooms are quite spacious. There's not much of a view, but that's not important to me. Instead you get smiling, pleasant staff members, a first-class breakfast, a cozy hotel bar for an evening drink and/or snack, and an extra quirk factor. In the main stairwell, there are plants you are welcome to take to your room for the length of your stay. There's a hopscotch game woven into the carpet on another level of that stairwell. You may end up with the lounge room with an exercise bicycle in it. A free, large bottle of water is waiting for you upon arrival. And the beds are very comfy indeed. If you're a decent walker, you can easily get downtown without needing the car, and Coburg is a town with plenty of charm. Keep your eyes open as you walk the central streets, and you'll find yourself walking by buildings from the early 15th century. You can indulge Victoria and Albert nostalgia, visit both the strongholds of the Dukes of Saxe-Coburg (the elegant Ehrenburg in town and the massive Veste perched atop the nearby steep hill, so formidable it was never taken by force of arms). And then there's Albert's home, the Rosenau, not far outside of Coburg and the gorgeous modern glass museum along with it. Definitely worth a stay!
Alas, no air conditioning, but in March that makes no difference at all!
Lovely hotel, much, much better than expected. The staff were great, the rooms really comfortable and the breakfast one of the best I have had! The location was great too with only a 20 minute walk to the centre of town.
Lovely rooms and a fantastic breakfast!
20 minute walk into town, but perfectly doable. Nice walk though the park.
I booked for a different month, but the lady on the reception was very kind and helped me to solve the problem. The hotel is pretty far from the train station and I was very tired after the long trip when I got there. This flexibility was very much appreciated.
Everything was fine.
A small surcharge gets you a much larger room, in our case complete with a Finnish exercise bike! Plenty of storage for our stuff, not much of a view but neither my husband nor I cares about that. The bathroom has lots of space for toiletries, too (though it's a bit tight). We've stayed at the Vienna House Easy Coburg many times and it's reliably clean and comfortable, with little noise. The only flaw in our room was that my bedside light didn't work (they were waiting for delivery of the bulb), but as there was a larger lamp nearby, I had no problem reading in bed!You get a pleasant welcome from the check-in desk, and in our case, they know us from long experience. The breakfast at Vienna House is particularly good, and the staff there keep the buffet filled up, with plenty of hot and cold dishes and a coffee machine that provides a wide array of coffee drinks plus hot chocolate. It's a long-ish walk to the center of town but not a problem if you like some exercise. And Coburg is definitely worth a visit: full of buildings dating back to the Middle Ages, a palace, and atop its main hill the massive castle known as the Crown of Franconia, the Veste, so impregnable that it was a safe haven for Martin Luther, who translated part of the Bible and a separate book of psalms into German there under the protection of Duke Johann the Steadfast.
I would have preferred it if the bedside lamp had worked, but supply chain issues affect everyone!
Big room, comfortable bed, good breakfast, parking. Great business type hotel with an affordable price. Recommended.
Wi-fi signal was pretty weak in my room.
Room was very nice, as was breakfast.
No extra pillows; garage was a little hard to maneuver.
good wifi, car parking spaces en nice staff, had a very good room to work in that was unexpected
i dont know
Breakfast was good. Not many options but everything tasted good. In this department they are doing it well. Blankets are nice and comfortable.
Room is a typica room from al 3 star hotel, not 4 stars. No mini bar, no toiletries, no kettle, no AC. Rooms are also not clean, especially the bathroom. Toilet was full of urine marks and shower was dirty. That might have something to do with the fact that they offer a small gift to whoever choses not to have their room clean. They give you a small bag that you are supposed to hang on your door if you rather have a gift instead of your room cleaned. On our floor, 6 rooms had this bag hanging on the door but i suspect there is no gift at all because at time of checkout the bags were still empty. I think whoever stays one night only, does not care if the next guest gets a clean room or not.
Wondeful breakfast!
my room was smelling like smoke...asked for another one...got it right away.
Very clean, modern room furniture with very cosy bed and many different types of pillows, excellent bathroom, and good quality towels. The staff was very friendly, the bar tender stayed longer open just for his guests. Thank you, Benjamin! Good quality drinks...
I don't think the centre is 15 minutes walk, in the end we took the bus and it seemed like a longer distance.
Good
Am rexervat pat twin si am primit doua twin lipite si ni s-a sugerat sa le despartim!!?? in conditiile in care erau mai scumpe twin...!!! lipsa aerului conditionat la stelele pe care le are!
very good breakfast, good localisation. people at reception very nice
breakfast
I didn’t have that sense of stellar hygiene in the room. I didn’t like the feeling of sweat from the bed. And the sink in bathroom hat rust flecks and looked dirty. Dirty flecks had also the bed und armchair. And also no slippers have been provided. Still the staff was helpful. For the breakfast I was charged with double tariff, as I had a double room Lol. I ordered a breakfast only for myself but payed for two. Still they offered for breakfast a large variety of tasty meals unlike usual hotel breakfasts.
big, comfortable room, quirky decorations, excellent breakfast, very friendly staff everywhere, parking.
the view is not very exciting...
Great friendly, helpful staff. Very comfortable room, probably one of the best breakfasts I've had in a hotel.
Nothing significant, it was a 20 min walk into the town
