hotelF1 La Rochelle Angoulins "Rénové"

15 minutes drive from downtown. Free parking on property. We chose this hotel for a marathon weekend. We left the hotel around 7/7.30am. Breakfast opens early in the morning so that’s a good thing. Place was clean.

The rooms are very small. Same for the bathroom. Very limited choice during breakfast. I find the price expensive for the space and service you get.

Friendly staff. Small but reasonable breakfast. Clean room, as far as I could tell.

The most uncomfortable bed I ever slept, except in camping tent: A very thin mattress on top of a hard surface. I could hardly sleep all night, every position was uncomfortable. Noise from the highway even on the side not facing it. Never, never again.

For the price can't complain. You get bare essentials like somewhere decent to sleep, WiFi and breakfast

Room very tiny. Towels not included in room price but staff offered it free. Soap ran out.

Completely unsafe location. Junkies, alcoholics were wandering around the parking lot, not sure but probably were some gang members, too. The hotel and the room was stinky, smelly, disgousting. As i went into the room i wanted to leave asap. Messaged the hotel, got no response. filed a complain at booking.com, no resolution. Ive lost the money, but at least i still have my car and valuables.

Really expensive for what it is. We stayed a night and due to a necessity. No coming back.

Overpriced. The hotel is a motel, in a really industrial area. The rooms were really really small. Only fitted a bed. Same small bathroom (there was hair and not enough towels or toilet paper). Also there was a dirty sock hanging from the smoke detector.

Zac was lovely. He spoke broken French, but because I speak French, we had a great conversation. Good room and shower for the small size.

Great value for money and convenient location off the side of the highway.

The location isn’t walkable or really accessible without a car. The cleanliness of the shared toilets and showers was a hit or miss. Very basic rooms but fairly spacious and gets the job done.
