Pros +
- The location was beautiful. Breakfast was also great.
- Great staff , comfortable room with heat you could adjust. Other places that wasn't possible. Overall quiet. And they'll make a wake call if the northern lights are visible.
- great location, affordable price, wonderful room that was very clean and beautifully designed. Amazing view, great staff, all around wonderful experience.
Cons -
- The room was small and awkward. No A/C, which is understandable, but also no ability to open a window without ?an invasion of biting flies? as a sticker on the window warned. The beds were extremely hard, plain white paint, no decor, the shower was tiny.
- The address shows Lindarbakki, 781, Iceland as the location but if you put that into a maps program you get another location. HornafjÃÂördur Lindarbakki, 781, Iceland In general some addresses in Iceland are not located with the address given.
- No black out shades. Very basic conditions. One of our rooms had a bathroom that was a combination toilet, shower, sink which was less than ideal.

The great room and views
Location near Höfn and glacier park is great
No black out shades. Very basic conditions. One of our rooms had a bathroom that was a combination toilet, shower, sink which was less than ideal.
The view from the hotel is fantastic. The location is great since there are not many hotels north of there; especially when doing the ring road in clockwise fashion. The hotel is modern and comfortable. The dinner was really good as was the breakfast. The bar has nice seating with view outside and good wines. Only 1 hour from hotel to Glacier Bay.
The room was a little dated, but it’s clean and the bed was comfortable, we could see two glaciers from our room which was wonderful. Breakfast was nice.
The room was a little small and dated.
Comfortable beds, clean rooms, very quiet hotel. Also, they had a happy hour.
We did not like the configuration of the bathroom: one closet was a toilet, a separate closet was the shower and then the sink is near the beds
It was a nice hotel, bar and breakfast. Very friendly staff.
The views were incredible and staff was very nice. Breakfast was very good and it was an easy drive to Hofn from the hotel, where we went to have an amazing dinner at Pakkhus (highly recommend).
Unfortunately, while we were there, they warned us about biting flies and recommended we keep our windows closed. We did as told, but it discouraged us from spending time outside at night, and we would have loved to enjoy the view more from their back deck.
The hotel was in a beautiful setting with wonderful views. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The shower drain seemed to be blocked as the water took a very long time to disappear. The room was small & a little cramped, especially for the money we paid.
Restaurant on site,
No hot tub or exercise room
The room was tiny. The dinner was good but extremely expensive, the most expensive meal we had in Iceland. Good breakfast
Bigger room with some room to get into our luggage would have been nice, more affordable dining
Excellent restaurant that was Gluten Free accommodating. Good location for our ring road trip.
Small standard size room. Restaurant was hard to get into due to multiple tour buses staying there. No hot pot or pool.
Staff was friendly, location was great
Rooms and bathrooms were small. They pretty much stacked up two twin beds in a room to make it look like a queen bed. Bathroom is divided into a half bathroom and a separate stand in shower. The sinks were tiny. The food at the restaurant was way too pricey, but was average tasting. For breakfast, they charged 3500pp, but it was below average. They even messed up booked eggs.
The hotel was clean. Lobby and the bar area were spacious. Rooms were nice
There are no hiking trails anywhere around the hotel. Restaurant chairs and tables feels like you are somewhere cheap. Very minimalistic. I understand the Icelandic decor, but this one feels very cheap
Nothing really was outstanding
Expensive for quality of facility ...bad smell in entry foyer front desk area. Breakfast was not all that great.
The location is so beautiful! From our suite, we had views of both glaciers and waterfalls. The restaurant is also excellent.
