Pros +
- The staff was so kind and friendly. The facility is beautiful, clean and well maintained, which feels special in such a "remote area". The hotel's proximity to the Snorri Sturluson museum, which gives so much explanation to the importance of the Reykholt area for the history of Iceland, and the sites around Reykholt were a bonus. We also rode horses at Sturlureykir horse farm nearby, and did the Into the Glacier tour. Both were amazing experiences! We used the amazing hotel spa and looked forward to the amazing breakfast spread everyday. We ate at the restaurant twice in the evening, which was excellent as well. Our stay at Fosshotel felt elevated and truly relaxing and immersive.
- Comfortable and good restaurant
- We stayed here on our first night on Iceland. Dinner and breakfast in here were amazing. The room is clean and comfortable. It is a perfect location to stay here to kick start the whole trip.

Quiet location, clean, nice lobby and rooms. The spa facilities were nice too
The breakfast was too expensive, not a good deal

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms.
Didn’t like that the sauna and hot tub cost additional.
The rooms were very nice. Great breakfast and dinner.
We didn't have any hot water in the morning. No one bothered to tell us or compensate us for the shortfall.
Excellent restaurant, nice spa, great rooms
Rooms were clean and quiet
Comfortable beds. Great breakfast
Great breakfast and the location was good.. the food was good.
Room was hot, bathroom was stinky, and the guests were noisy
Breakfast was fine. Room was clean, nice looking and of comfortable size.A bench for two suitcases is a bonus. The hotel was extremely well situated for guests at the music festival which was the case. The dinner we had was exellent an so was the service.
The prize of the room is rather high. At the reception there were some language difficulties but it was not a problem.
The hotel is new and very clean. Professional and friendly staff. Awesome location and multiple services available on site.
The breakfast is one of the best among all the hotels we stayed in Iceland. The staff went out of their way to serve you. I left my notebook computer charger in the hotel. I had to leave on cruise the next day. They found it and sent it to Fosshotel Reykajvik so that I can pick it up after my cruise and on my way to London.
A great hotel. A big and well appointed room. Fabulous restaurant with great staff.
Very clean. Great breakfast
Very expensive
Good location, restaurant was nice, staff was nice. Enjoyable stay. Accomodated a last minute check in
Quiet and good bedVery nice dinner in hotel
Never again in Fosshótels
The second day the rooms had not been make up. At our complaint, the manager didn’t show cooperative at that time we called Booking.com that helped us a lot, allowing us to check out one night in advance with the refund of the remaining night.
This Fosshotel confirms—and even exceeds—the already high standards of the hotel chain. The rooms are beautiful, welcoming, and spacious. Outstanding breakfast.
Excellent location for our plans for the day! Staff were helpful. Good room size. We enjoyed happy hour and had dinner in the restaurant. Both were very good!
