The Mercure Caen Côte de Nacre hotel is located 10 minutes from downtown Caen by tram stopping in front of the hotel and 15 minutes by car from the seaside. Discover our 88 air-conditioned rooms for 1 to 4 people with Chromecast and high-speed Wi-Fi. Our restaurant with terrace showcases regional products, from breakfast buffet to dinner. The hotel also has a bar, a fitness room, 8 meeting rooms and a large free and enclosed private parking. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. - The room was at the end of the second corridor almost "outside" of the building although there were not many people in total as I realized later. The pillows were horribly uncomfortable, one was not enough, stacking 2 was too much. Breakfast does not worth the price at all. Scrambled egg was not edible at all. In total I had a very bad experience and discomfort although we wanted to have a little rest before continuing our trip.
- Welcome staff, nice quality bed and bedroom.
Cons -
- The breakfast was horrible for Mercure Hotel, bread not fresh, choice limited, scramble eggs looks like a mousse, not appetizing, for the cost of the stay it could be much better, the good point was the fresh croissant.
