La Désirade is in Le Petit Cosquet, on the Belle-Ile-en-Mer. It offers a heated outdoor pool. Access to the spa is free of charge and spa facilities include a sauna, a hammam and massages. The guest rooms are distributed between 6 holiday homes, all around the pool and overlooking the flower-filled gardens. Each guest room has a large private bathroom and a courtesy tray is provided in every room. La Désirade’s restaurant serves traditional cuisine, prepared with fresh market produce, and it has an extensive wine list. A daily buffet-style breakfast/brunch is also served, which includes home-made delicacies.

Pros +
- The hotel is family run and all of the family ( parents and daughters) care about their guests. The staff are delightful and the service is superb. Highly recommended.

- Rooms are not super comfy especially the bathroom. We had the sensation that everything is overpriced in the hotel : breakfast , room fare, restaurant ( buffet not super good for 44euros/person) vs the quality offered which is fine but not at all related to the price =300 per night per day once you include the stay, transportation from the port and breakfast. This is the price of a 4 star +++ hotel and not of what is offered at la Désirade which is a 2 or 3 star max service.

A very friendly atmosphere, kind and nice personal, it is clean. Beakfast was fantastic, everything is fresh and prepared with love.The garden is nice and it is well integrated between the rooms and the restaurant/recaption.

A wonderfully tranquil and comfortable family run hotel with rooms arranged in Breton-style cottages in lovely gardens. A great island ambiance with excellent service and lots of thoughtful touches and working hard on environmental credentials. The hotel’s restaurant, also open to non-residents, is exceptional.
