Hotel Nordhausen

They need to tell us that they close the reception at 11 pm. Instead to let guests waiting for long time in front of the hotel. This caused delay should be reimbursed

They tried to give me wrong room. When I said, I need the room I booked . They tried to manipulate me through copying my id and my credit card. This had never happened to me before.

Great location, very good restaurant, and loved the ability to use credit cards and charge to our room (unlike so much of Germany)

No air conditioning. If going, make sure to book a room off the busy street.

Simple but comfortable rooms. Friendly staff, immaculately clean. Breakfast was great value with a huge variety of options on the buffet.

The hotel is convenient for travel, being 8-9 minutes walk from Nordhausen station, which was the main reason for staying here again. Staff are always friendly.

There was just a bit too much building work going on inside the hotel, with doors off and building materials around the corridors. One of my friends couldn’t get through a corridor to leave the hotel in the morning and had to move the door himself. The bathroom was a little small, with the door hitting the toilet and your needing to squeeze around the door. Not a big deal.

This is a nice hotel, second time I have stayed here. Friendly welcome and staff all pleasant. I had quite a small room but perfectly adequate and comfortable. Even if you are on the main road side of the hotel the soundproof windows work well. Good breakfast spread, and if you don’t feel like going into town to eat they do a nice pizza! Well placed for the station about 500/600 metres away.

I have no suggestions. Everything was fine. Maybe a little way out from the main city centre, but this is not really a problem. Walk to the station and catch a tram up the hill!

Morning staff does not speak English which made it a bit more complicated to communicate. Otherwise pleasant and clean place to stay.

Stayed here over the new year hols, staff very friendly and helpful, Room was spot on, spacious, clean, quiet & comfortable,Excellent breakfast, plenty of selections, freshly cooked eggs if you want & always something different on offer every day.5 minute's walk to the DB station & the Harz Mountain railway station.

Nothing that would dissuade me from coming here again or recommending it to anyone.

Unmanned check in and locked door at 6pm. Took frantic phone calls to get someone to drive to the hotel and let me in. Tiny room. Tiny bed.

It was very clean and staff was very friendly.

The bed was small and the room too. The hotel is located at a very noisy street and there is no ac in the room. Breakfast was not included and wasn't worth the additional money.

The check-in time is very late, only at 15:00, and no earlier check-in was possible.Breakfast didn't meet my expectations, but I'm not sure what I expected exactly. Maybe an omelette?Everything else is fine

Was a nice comfy hotel, the staff especially Birgit were very helpful and friendly also very knowledgeable about the area and recommended a fantastic Italian restaurant, the breakfast was very good and good value for money.

Room was good, with a desk to work from. Hotel relatively well situated with a relatively short flat walk from the station.

The one big negative was the difficulty of gaining access. sending the access details just before the arrivaltime is useless if you don't have wifi access to receive the information. Abetter system is needed.

Nice room and staff. Only had breakfast at the weekend but it was fine.

The shower couldn't be turned from hot to cold so sometimes it was scalding. Told the lady at reception and she said they would fix it. Also, the bar was closed when we came home at around 9.45 p.m. on the Saturday evening so the only place we could sit with our colleagues was outside as all the indoor seating downstairs was inaccessible. Not good for a business trip or any other trip for that matter.

Breakfast was simple a little expensive for the choice, coffee wasn’t bad though, room was clean and a good size.

Despite giving an arrivl time of mid-afternoon and having it confirmed as OK by the hotel I arrived to find the hotel locked up and a telephone number to call. I was then talked through how to access the key safe and get into the building. This is totally unacceptable. My arrival time had been agreed by the hotel yet they could not be bothered to be there. This made me feel unwelcome, unwanted and insecure in my surroundings which meant that I did not sleep well.

They were really kind letting me do my check in earlier. They welcomed me really nicely and the room was clean
