Hôtel & Spa du Domaine des Thômeaux, The Originals Relais

The property is lovely. My room was quite spacious and comfortable. We arrived a little early and they were able to accomodate us. (Our group had 3 rooms) Both the front desk staff and cleaning staff were very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here. No complaints about the property at all. A very positive experience.

This is not the hotel's fault at all but the closest restaurant was in Amboise about 10 minutes drive away. The hotel is located in a little village but there are no convenience stores or restaurants there. However, Amboise was an easy drive from there.

Sophie, the receptionist, was absolutely wonderful - kind, efficient and very helpful.

The restaurant was a huge disappointment. Service was so slow that when the main course arrived it was cold. We left in disgust!

Nice stay with very friendly staff (spoke English as well). Spa (1 hr per day per stay) was a nice perk. We needed 2 twin beds but, upon arrival, there was just one large bed. The staff gave us an additional complimentary room the first night. That was very kind.Nice warm shower with good pressure. Nice grounds, bar area and building. 10 min from Amboise.Great value.

Pillows were not comfortable but we managed.

Breakfast was very complete, many options. Room comfortable. Bar nice and quiet.

Food was delicious but small and pretencious proportions for a set meal. Rooms spacious but very tierd and in much need of maintainence. Just tinkering on it's three star status in my humble opinion.

Rooms very stuffy in the height of the Summer as portable air conditioning unit too noisey to use although adequate at other times for cooling. Awoken by local church bells at 7 am on a Saturday ! Not what I was looking forward to after just a few hours sleep, so well over priced for my wife and I personally, unfortunate as it was supposed to be a special birthday treat for her and her retirement from work after 44 years as an NHS nurse in the UK

Very nice staff, comfortable bed, the spa is nice.

This hotel looked beautiful and has a lovely garden. Great in the sunshine.

The spa and pool are very tired. Pool liner needs replacing desperately. Courtyard lights remain on all night which made it difficult to sleep. There was a dirty cover on the bed on arrival.

Lovely place with very nice staff. All very friendly and incredibly helpful but not pushy or interfering. We appreciated that fine balance.The spa was amazing, and breakfast was quite exceptional with lots of choice. All very good quality and local produce used wherever possible.

Bed was very comfortable. Staff friendly.

Room ; Wc separate from bathroom. Bathroom could do with a chair to aid the less mobile.It took ages to order a drink in the bar as receptionist was busy checking in new guests.Restaurant located away from main building- and it was raining!

We liked the bed it was soft nice and comfortable. Parking in front of the room was as well nice. and easy to bring your luggage. the small sofa was nice. The wifi was nice and fast and without a code.

The room was extreme small. The pictures do not give the right impression of what you are going to book. The place has nothing to offer in the surrounding. The small window did not give enough daylight. it was disappointing that although the rooms downstairs were empty they did not give us that bigger room.

The pool is not usually accessible and nat open to children. This should be stated clearly on the website. For the rest, all perfect. Good restaurant.

The restaurant was closed when we arrived at 8.30pm but the staff did arrange for us to have a cold platter

The restaurant Maitre D was unhelpful to the point of being exceptionally rude.

Good spa facilities but didnt use them

Service at Dinner was poor and lacked grace. When we asked for cheese the trolly was almost thrown at us. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. We had a superior room...tea/coffee only comes in Deluxe rooms!

Room was spacious and location was easy to get to

The breakfast was definitely overpriced, there was very little choice with low quality food, no service. A coffee and piece of bread for €18 is unacceptable. Also pictures are misleading since we were not staying in the main building but our room was on the parking lot, like a motel

Very nice place with spa and restaurant and ample parking space. Thanks to very friendly staff we got a free upgrade to a nice and spacious room.

The location of the hotel is a bit in the middle of nowhere. There are no shops and restaurants in the vicinity. The restaurant offers plate menus but the quality of the food was below French standards. We stayed for 3 nights and the menu did not change, limiting the options.

A comfortable room. An excellent dinner and superb breakfast. Spa facilities were fun and of good quality..

No tea making facilities in the room.
