The staff there was the BEST!! We had a mechanical emergency between Washington state and Alabama, and they took great care of us, even with the boiler going out!! Our vehicle was across the hwy. at Chevy, and the people were great there as well. Thanks!!

Top Tips
- Book stays 3-6 weeks ahead for weekend wine-tour and festival periods to secure rates 15-30% lower than last-minute bookings.
- Select hotels in the Historic Downtown / Riverfront area for walking access to 8 or more wineries, tasting rooms, and at least 10 restaurants within 0.2-1.0 mile. Enjoy seasonal riverfront walking trails, and ask hotel staff about local festival dates or shuttle pickup points.
- Book flights into St. Louis Lambert (STL), which is roughly a 50-65 minute drive from Washington. Allow 1 to 1.5 hours for door-to-door transfer when planning arrivals.
- Compare rates and book your car rental or winery shuttle in advance if planning multiple tastings or out-of-town visits. Coverage is limited in smaller Missouri towns, and some shuttles operate only during festivals or weekends, so confirm by phone if unsure.
- Request accessible or ground-floor rooms at booking, as historic properties may lack step-free access or elevators. Or select a chain hotel with confirmed elevator and ADA features such as visual alarms and roll-in showers; call ahead to verify availability.
- Confirm parking dimensions in advance if arriving in an RV or with a trailer. Most motels and chain hotels adjacent to I-70 include free parking, but downtown inns may have small lots.
