    Pros +

    • Charming, the owner has put so much love into his castle it's unbelievable. The grounds were stunning and it's an amazing place to stay. Everyone should treat themselves to an experience like this in their lifetime. We loved every minute there a dream
    • Beautiful property. Little piece of heaven on earth. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough to help. The Grill restaurant was outstanding. The other restaurant was not available during our stay but the Grill food was so good we didn’t feel we were messing out.
    • Never again!

    Cons -

    • Even with the climate control, room got warm at night. But also there during unusually hot period.
    • The staff didn't speak English to a basic level.Even though we reserved our stay through Booking, so they had all necessary info, they called us the previous day and demanded credit card info over the phone as guarantee?! They also asked how many rooms and persons we booked, although that info that was available in our booking. The person that called and handled our check in barely spoke English, also added over 100 euros fee for a breakfast we didnt ask for without checking with us. The fee was removed upon our request but didnt create a good impression. We couldn't get basic info like what time does the pool close or how to connect to the wifi (that didnt work in one of the rooms we booked). We booked 2 rooms with 3 months in advance and they completely disregarded our booking request. We got rooms in different buildings and the more serious problem was the powerful smell of humid and mold in the rooms. We complained and got a shrug as a response.Rooms were small and stinky, doors were squeaky and the slot where the key card is supposed to go in literally fell apart. In one of the rooms the sheets had stains on them.Housekeeping was quite intrusive, entering the room only hours after our arrival and moving my laptop around (i left it open on the bed and found it on a window shelf). The tens of acres of property advertised are in reality an average hotel courtyard where you can walk for 5 mins. This was a disappointing experience for a presumably 5 star hotel.

The dinner was fantastic , lovely tastes and staff were so helpful . I have stayed around 4 times since it was formed around 15 or so years ago and it has never disappointed and this visit was the best of many excellent visits ..

Beautiful property’ very tastefully renovated and in a lovely park setting.

It felt all a bit deserted. When we arrived at 18.00 hrs. We could not find any staff, nobody…even the kitchen was void of life… we found a receptionist cum waiter, cum night guard… after 40 min. Then he offered an upgrade, which we greatly appreciated but then he took us via an unlit and pitch dark garden path to a rather bog-standard room in an annex beyond the garden wall, next to the farm machinery … that made us wonder what the other room would have looked like… The pool was still open at the end of October, but there were garden works ongoing, so we could not use it.

Bike renting rather expensive for little time used

The location and ambiance are great’ very beautiful. The gastronomic restaurant is fantastic!

There are no mosquito nets in the room and the airconditioning was not working. When opening the windows at night a bat flew in our room and disturbed our peaceful night

Everything you would want from a chateau and more

No pool service. Only 1 tasting menu, so if you stay multiple nights, you have to visit restaurants close by.

Exceptional location and view of landscape. Interesting historical building and its quality renovation.

Restaurant and breakfast could be better

    9AlexPosted on: 8-20-2024

The area and landscape are amazing. The castel itself is impacting and we liked the tower logo and the signs with it. Rooms are well equiped and the staff is fully supporting with any request. We also ate at the grill and the menu is really tasty, consequent and proper pricing!

Almost nothing. But as feedback are always appreciated. A little bit of moisture mark (black mold) at the entrance of the shower, not dirty but could be perfect at this level of expectation. The antimosquito just next to the bed is a bit too much smell.

I loved the property-an old castle beautifully renovated- located in the middle of a beautiful surrounded by fields of lavender. Great for a few days stop

The property is unique and amazing. It’s beautifully renovated and decorated. Rooms are spacious with beautiful views to the castle and the fields. Breakfast is generous served next to the swimming pool

The grill for dinner. Limited menu and nothing special about the ambiance.

    10AuroraPosted on: 7-3-2024

Very nice setting with a magnificent garden. Staff was very welcoming. They managed to accommodate a table at the restaurant despite it was fully booked. The quality of the restaurant was a very nice surprise and can be highly recommended.

It is hard to find something we disliked. Maybe there is some room for improvement with the cabinet in our room which could not be fully opened without hitting the nightstand.

    9AllenPosted on: 6-30-2024

Beautiful building in a great location. Fabulous pool and dining terrace The tasting menu was amazing.

It took 2 hours to get our room ready. Service not as prompt as I would have expected

    8ChristinePosted on: 6-25-2024

    We love the location.

The gourmet restaurant is closed on a Sunday and the grill food was very disappointing in comparison.

    Beautiful chateau with great views.

Bathroom is open and no shower whilst there is ample space. Stain from water on the pillow. Leakage must have taken place the nights before due to heavy rainfall. No dining facility on Monday night but staff tried better to provide food. The waiter seemed very new and not professionally dressed. Receptionist was vey helpful and had to run between reception and bar. If the waiter had been up to speed there would have been sufficient staff.

    10KatherinePosted on: 10-24-2023

The chateau is drop-dead gorgeous. Our room was large and high-ceilinged, with beautiful tall windows overlooking the grounds and pool, and a lovely bathroom with claw-foot tub. I walked the grounds at sunset — incredible! The staff was desirous to please, and so nice and helpful.

Our meal in the Michelin-star rated was under-whelming.We arrived during warm weather, and had some trouble. We asked for sheets in lieu of a duvet, and for max a/c. Couldn’t open the windows due to the moucheron, so we were pretty warm.

the estate is perfect. the spa was great. the staff too. the breakfast is a must have.
