    • Cat! My husband has an allergy to cat hair and minutes after we checked in he started sneezing !The cat freely wondered around the dining room, I think they did there best to take it out but it kept returning. The are obviously big cat cat lovers as another cat lay across the reception desk checking out the next morning.

The warm welcome, the quiet location and the lovely spacious and well designed room. We were in room 7

It’s a beautiful building, the room was spacious .

It’s not what I didn’t like it’s more what could have been better. The room was lovely but tired and frustratingly it wouldn’t take much to lift it. Restaurant lacked atmosphere for an evening meal - service in need of polish - the garden dining area was there but in need of attention and not inviting.

Great atmosphere, interior, and nearby attractions. Highly recommended.

A huge bright and airy room. We loved the round window and watching the sunset from the opposite window. Plenty convenient onsite parking. Friendly staff who spoke our language. An historic chateau surrounded by beautiful countryside. We enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant.

Beautiful building and the breakfast was amazing. Room was nice.

Our first room was not air-conditioned even though we booked one which was. We got another room with AC. Lots of stairs to the (second) room, which would have been difficult for older/less fit people

The location is amazing. The free parking is a good bonus

Next time I would ask for a different room. The one we had was a little bit smelly and not properly clean (probably because it was a very dark room and it is not easy to see the dirty)

We had not known what to expect before we arrived but were delighted with the accomodation once we saw it. Basically it felt as though we were staying in a castle. The rooms were beautiful - very spacious and light with stone walls, floors and ceiling. A perfect combination of old character and modern conveniences. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The food and wine were very good. We would defintely recommend staying here as long as you have no mobility issues because the winding stone stairs in the turret to reach your bedroom would be difficult unless you were completely mobile.

It did not cause us a problem but you need to be aware that the only way up to your bedroom is climbing up a stone spiral staircase

The building itself is impressive and the surroundings are beautiful.

The building is impressive and the surroundings are beautiful, but unfortunately, the room did not live up to expectations. It looked great in the photos, but the layout was poorly designed. The downstairs bed was almost unusable due to a second-floor beam just 1.5m high, making the space impossible to walk through. The upstairs bed was accessed via unsafe stairs, and a balcony-like structure above the room felt loose and unstable.Despite the room’s size, it had only a tiny window (70x70cm), which offered little ventilation for a two-level space. The bathroom had no door, the shower leaked water across the floor, and the wall-mounted hairdryer didn’t work. Although we reported it, instead of offering a quick replacement, a staff member spent most of the morning trying to fix it in the room—disrupting our routine just before check-out.The staff were also quite impertinent, often loud and unhelpful when approached for assistance.Overall, the room lacked basic comfort, safety, and functionality, and the service left a lot to be desired

the castle is very nicely modernized; as a person with historical interest, it was really interesting staying here.

10 % tax was added to the bill, that we did not expect.

The breakfast was excellent .From photos of booking I expected a larger room. We had an evening meal. Service was shambolic. Girls not had adequate training. Water and wines not served correctly. We had to ask for bread when mason coarse actually arrived. Service was very slow. Breakfast was a whole different experience. Lovely.

Sorry. As above. Evening meal not an enjoyable experience.

We loved the character of this hotel. Our room was charming and we were able to sit outside. Breakfast was great and the dinner we had was delicious. All staff were very pleasant. Our dogs were made very welcome. We would love to return again.

we liked the dinner and breakfast in the garden. the rooms are excellent, but due to small windows a bit dark.Rooms arranges with taste and spatious

No place for tea or a drink in the afternoon

A charming room with a vaulted ceiling which, together with the hugely thick walls, echoed the atmosphere of Les Chambres de la Renaissance. The window looked out over a pleasantly rustic garden, and all within was clean and comfortable with every amenity. Breakfast was extensive and included cheeses and salamis as well as the more traditionalitems in a continental breakfast. The 'receptionist' who initially showed us to our room, was very helpful and turned out to be both the chef who cooked our dinner that evening, and also the waiter who served it, assisted by a friendly black and white cat. called Blancnoir.

Quiet location, view from the window. A charming building.

Staff didn’t tell us there was a restaurant for dinner, and no options in small town
