The elegant guest rooms, decorated in Belle Epoque-style, are equipped with a TV and a telephone. All rooms have a private bathroom. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the Le Manoir. A buffet breakfast is served every morning at Hôtel Le Manoir, and can be taken on the terrace overlooking the grounds. There are many restaurants serving Alsatian cuisine just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. With free public parking on site, Barr Train Station is just half a mile away. The medieval Haut-Kœnigsbourg Castle is 12 miles from the hotel.

Pros +
- We stayed for two nights and even booked an extra night. The rooms in the main part of the house were lovely—beautifully designed and very comfortable. It truly felt like a great experience and matched our expectations. The breakfast was tasty.
- Quiet hotel, easy location and access. Plenty of parking. Liked the atmosphere reminiscent of “Belle Époque “ mixed with posters of famous people.Outstanding breakfast. Relaxed check out time.
- Great historic property. Very comfortable beds and a great breakfast. Very bicycle friendly.
Cons -
- Unfortunately, the last night was disappointing. We were moved to the basement rooms, optimistically described as “garden view.” While we knew one of the rooms would be in the basement, the other was supposed to remain in the main house. Instead, both rooms were relocated to the basement without clear communication. One of the basement rooms was unfinished and still under renovation, making it uncomfortable. The other had a strong pet odor, which was unpleasant. When we asked to switch back to the main house rooms, we were told it wasn’t possible because it “wouldn’t be fair to other guests.” This felt dismissive and hypocritical, as we were later moved without being asked and against what we originally booked. The explanation that the basement room had a “big TV” after we mentioned booking a romantic-style room for visiting parents from America came across as rude and stereotypical. A TV does not replace the charm and comfort we expected.
- We stayed in a room in the cellar with garden access which was great for when we had to take our dog out. As mentioned in some other reviews, the shower area needs a shower curtain. Water goes everywhere and soaks the entire bathroom when showering. We started showering with the water on a really low pressure which helped a little, but the bathroom will still get wet regardless.
- Can't speak for the rest of the rooms, but the room we had is looking tired and in need of a refit. It was unusually hot on our visit, but no fan or AC which made for a very uncomfortable night.

Great historic property. Very comfortable beds and a great breakfast. Very bicycle friendly.
Breakfast was good and costs 15 euro. Lots of options and he will make you eggs to order. Nice little hotel to stay at and the decor was pretty cool. Everything is within walking distance, i.e. bars, restaurants, shopping. The owner is really nice and having it's own parking spaces were great. The TV also had a Amazon Firestick which was nice for watching some of the TV shows we liked and we had a portable AC in the room.

Breakfast is very good. The town around the Hotel is very pretty with various restaurants.

It was a pleasant surprise, this one of a kind hotel, with great rooms, food, beautiful Manoir, amazing, we really enjoyed our stay there and we will definitely come back!
Lovely breakfast in a beautiful establishment with extremely comfortable beds
Check-in went great even tho we arrived pretty late, the receptionist was able to speak German and English beside French. The whole vibe of the property is very beautiful, old money style and just superb. The breakfast room was very cozy and the food was amazing. We will be recommending this place to our friends and family and we will for sure be back in spring!
The beds are a bit small, but it didn't bother us much, since we were super tired after the whole day on the Christmas market, but if there is any opportunity to upgrade the beds that would be amazing. Other than that it was perfect.
Beautiful property with a different vibe. Cute little town, perfect place to spend time with friends or family or for a matter of fact, just yourself:)
Rooms could be equipped with kettle and water bottles.
Nice location with private secure parking. Breakfast was very nice with buffet plus eggs to order. Management was friendly and attentive.Bed was comfortable, and room was quiet.
Our room was on the 3rd floor, wish there was an elevator. The bathroom was small, and did not have any heating or heated towel rack.
Excellent location.Owner./manager picked us up at train station in his personal vehicle, as taxis were non existant in Barr, France. He responded promptly to any needs or requests. He personally prepared and served a very pleasing breakfast buffet ($) each morning. Very quaint and pleasing atmosphere.
Nothing really. This is a small, and older hotel in a small French town. You have to appreciate those qualities and the uniqueness of the environment.
Fabulous breakfast. Afternoon tea/ infusion ( free) was a nice touch.
Bathroom/ shower rather basic
This hotel is a bit 'home from home': a lovely room; a very good optional breakfast (with lots of fresh fruit too). Very close to the town-centre and a convenient distance from the train-station. Some excellent restaurants just a few footsteps away. Guests can make use of a beautiful garden/terrace (weather permitting) and they can have tea in the drawing room. It spoke for itself that there were quite a number of guests happily nursing their tea while reading their books or chatting with other guests. Very relaxing.
Breakfast really good! Owner and staff awesome! Kind and helpful anytime! 100% !
Nothing really.
The breakfast was amazing and all common facilities of the Hotel were well maintained.
Our room was too small, had no AC & both windows overlooked the Hotel's parking.
Lovely garden. Beautiful house. Great breakfast in a very nice setting. Well located for some wine tasting.
Our room / apartment was a bit dated but all in all price / quality was good.
Great location to visit Barr, is located almost in the center with its own private parking. The bed was comfortable.
The room was dusty and not that clean, same as the bathroom which was quite small and not comfortable to use, and there was this smell like it has been closed for a while. Insects were entering the room as there was no net in the windows and in a summer night was hard to sleep with closed windows. We could hear people speaking loudly from the halls in the middle of the night.
Breakfast and people were fantastic
Room didn't had airco during heat wave
Very friendly staff, nice rooms and excellent breakfast. What more do you want?
We had the 2 bedroom family room (top floor). Had lovely views of the town. Did have a mini split which we didn’t need when we went. Breakfast was lovely. Hosts and family were very friendly to our kids.
