Hotel et Spa La Villa K - Basel Airport

The staff was very friendly and helpful and thorough. The room was very clean and provided a coffee maker in the room.

Hotel was great! Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff was so wonderful too! The shuttle that’s included was great and on time. Missed breakfast because I left so early.

Pillow were to over stuffed, not my preference.

Air condition in the room

1. We arrived 1 hour before check-in time, reception coldly said it’s not check in time, come back in 1 hour, not let us in earlier, not even offer us wait in the lobby…with 38 degree outside super hot2. The spa policy is not clear and ridiculous: 4 person together inside 2 hours, versus 2 by 2 each 1 hour in total 2 hours, why does it make any difference to you?? They doubled our price without marking it clear to us before! In addition Jacuzzi cannot hold 4 person together in one time…if we knew it earlier we could go 2 by 2,and the reception had very rude attitude by keep repeating that’s their rule. Then change your ridiculous rule or made it clear in your policy first.

The intimacy of the hotel. The spa treatments were amazing. Restaurant and bar are excellent. Just breakfast would have a bit more umph. It was rather bland. Down the street are better options for pastry and a bit of breakfast. Everything else os superb.

Mentioned above breakfast. I went the first day, just a bit the 2nd day and not at all the last day.

Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Fresh fruits available as well as excellent bread and pastries, and homemade marmalades.

The rooms and the staff. Stayed here as a stop over on the way to ski and was a lovely place for a nice evening

Welcomed by groups of people / guests smoking drugs at the entrance - very unpleasant and intimidating for our kids.Breakfast room layout was crowded and not very user friendly.

The location was perfect - the staff gave us directions to catch the bus to Basel for Christmas Market shopping. The free shuttle to the airport at 3:45 am was most comforting and a truly added benefit!

It would be good if the jacuzzi included to all residents of the hotel.

My goodness, this hotel was exceptional. From the moment we checked in, Mary, at the reception desk was extremely friendly, professional and so personable. She accommodated us with an early check in, fabulous room and escorted us to our room. What a pleasant and unexpected experience. I will be recommending this hotel to everyone I know. Hope you get booked in room 101 for your stay. Fabulous. Breakfast was delightful too.

There was nothing we didn't enjoy during our stay. Wish we had had more time for a spa experience, but sadly no time.

I arrived on the French side of the Basel airport, since Villa K is in France, at the scheduled time, but the entire area was deserted. There were no taxis, no public transportation and nobody to ask for help. So I called the hotel to send me a taxi. Unfortunately the employee did speak only French and could not utter a single word in German or English – which is quite amazing for an airport hotel in the Basel area. She was not willing to send a car. Since there was no other option, I had to go to the Swiss side of the airport where there were a bunch of taxis and stay in a Swiss hotel. A drive from the Swiss side to France takes long and is expensive.

Needed a property close to airport as had a 6.am flight the following day . Hotel is 10 mins from airport and provided a free shuttle at 4 am , which was great .

Beautiful hotel, full of personality. We loved the books and family photos every where.Very helpful, friendly receptionist, lovely large clean comfortable room, great shower. We liked the coffee machine in the room and the big dressing gowns. Transfers to and from the hotel.were a big plus.Breakfast was very good. We did not have time to use the spa but would reyurn and hope to do so then.Restaurant was fabulous, great food and amazing service from Piere

Comfort, cleanliness, nice design, location (quick and easy access to to Basel-Mulhouse airport), courteous and knowledgeable staff, parking, good wifi. Wish we could have tried the spa, our stay was too short. Highly recommended.
