Hotel Löwenstein

The hotel location is good, a ten minute walk from the town centre. Although it is situated close to the railway line the train noise wasn't intrusive. The railway station is 300 metres away and tickets can be bought via a ticket machine. The hotel is new, very clean room, adequate storage, nice clean bathroom with a shower and it also had electric shutters for privacy and darkness when you need it. Even when the bar was busy, in our room which was directly above it, we had to listen carefully to hear any noise from it. The breakfast room, which is situated above the bar area, has four tables and it also has a wraparound veranda for eating al fresco for those that want it. Free parking is available across the road from the hotel. The staff were very nice; our first room was really small but the second day of our stay they moved us into a larger room without us asking for that.

We didn't drink in the bar because of the no, no smoking ban. I guess after twenty odd years of no smoking in public places in the UK it would be odd to go back to that. It isn't a complaint because some people will probably like to be able to have a cigarette and a drink but it wasn't for us. Breakfast could be a little more extensive but in a small hotel the smaller than expected choice is probably to be expected! The food that was available was fresh and the bread rolls were very nice.

Extremly hot and no ventilation. WORST bed and pillow i've experienced in my life. There is a pub downstairs and people sere just outside my window shouting and smoking all night. Avoid

Wow. Such an upscale new hotel. Lots of small details (fridge, coffee, AC, water, kettle) to be grateful for and simple and sufficient bedding. The staff are friendly , family style.

The sink is small with a glass shelf above, making it tricky to wash properly but acceptable given the layout is to maximize the 3 pc bathroom.

A small, modernised, reasonably priced hotel, run by a friendly Turkish family. I had a small comfortable room, on a 1 track rail line, silent after about 10 at night, and a road running into Lich with good free parking. Shaving and tooth brushing tools were in the room.A small buffet breakfast is available.It was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

It's a bar, so likely weekends are loud.
