- I don't normally write reviews however after reading the reviews myself I was worried about this hotel. The hotel is very basic (you get what you pay for) however we had clean towels every day, good shower and a good nights sleep every night. The view is stunning, a view of the sea and castle. The hotel is in an excellent location, we hired a scooter to get around the island every day, the hotel is very close to shops and restaurants and about a 30 minute walk from the harbour, there are busses and taxes available. We got feee coffee and pastries every morning which was a short walk to a restaurant, this was a coffee and a selection of pastries (there was nothing else but then again it's free!) they were very nice and the coffee was amazing situated in a lovely restaurant. The beach is about a 5 minute walk.
- We loved the view of the sea from our room, but that’s thanks to location. Simple room in a hotel, which already had seen its good times. Our connection to Salerno was in late afternoon, we were allowed to leave our luggage.
- Amazing location, warm and welcoming staff, stunning views and perfectly clean.
Cons -
- The garden area could do with a freshen up, however this did not affect us as we were out every day. There is no pool or loungers but again it didn't bother us as we were out everyday.
- A skilled caretaker would be needed to: repair the shower head, paint freshly the walls, etc. the garden is also abounded.
- The shower was a bit tricky and the water kind of lukewarm but we managed. The small balcony had nowhere to sit but we used the garden area.

Amazing location, warm and welcoming staff, stunning views and perfectly clean.
High ceiling, good space in room, room cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. Very close to beachNumber 7 bus nearby goes to Port. Beautiful garden with lots of seats. It was so nice to come back to a clean room each day.
The shower was a bit tricky and the water kind of lukewarm but we managed. The small balcony had nowhere to sit but we used the garden area.
beuatiful, central,clean
The hotel is set in pretty gardens which has some nice sitting areas and lovely views. We stayed in a second floor double aspect room with a large balcony. This allowed for a cooling draft to come into the room. The views were amazing, one side to the sea and one side to the stunning Castello Aragonese. The hotel is closer to the Ponte side of Ischia and to restaurants/bars there. The room was basic but spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room was cleaned every day and the cleaning staff were cheerful and helpful.
Before we arrived we had quite a stern message telling us what ‘not’ to expect at the hotel. The lady on the desk gave the impression that it had been a long season for her! She did however rectify something in our room very promptly. The room is very basic which may not suit all. The doors to the patio are difficult to secure. The bathroom is small and dated and the shower was difficult to use without it leaking. The hotel is quite a walk from the Porte side of Ischia although this didn’t really bother us as there are interesting things to see along the way.
The location was fabulous and the staff were lovely. The view from our room was exceptional.
The room was a bit tired in places (water marks on walls and holes in ceiling). It would have been good to have the option of an insect net over the windows to stop bugs getting in too.
Good location, great price, clean room
no A/C, no options of breakfast, no fridge
The staff was friendly and polite, making my short stay very enjoyable. It has a rustic vibe, with a lovely view over the sea from the garden. Really recommend this place!
The location was within walking distance to most things.
The rooms were very uncomfortable. With only a ceiling fan, that barely made any difference - it was unbearably hot in the rooms. The neighbours were very noisy, shouting until late at night and early mornings. The bed was uncomfortable and there were several mosquitoes, even with the windows shut.
The property was in an excellent location. Walking distance to beaches, restaurants and bus stops. I had a room with a balcony and view of the ocean which was fantastic; witnessed some beautiful sunrises from the comfort of my own bed. The hotel manager offered some great advice on sights to see and the easiest way to get to them.
The room did not have air conditioning or a fridge - this was outlined in the room description, so was expected. If you are going during the summer; it is quite hot in the room.
It’s near the beach
First of all there is no air condititoner, it was so warm in the room that we couldn’t breath. The floor was so dirty and sheets also. Bed is almost broken, it can literally wake you up if you move. The woman at the reception was trying to be nice but she was very arrogant. The hotel has a lot potential but obviously there is no ambition to do the renovation.
There was no breakfast. I had the best room with balcony and sea view.I was quite hot in the room with just ceiling fan.
Beautiful views and perfect location near the beach and the castle. We came first 20 years ago and it has retained its informal family-style charm.
The view from the window we had was so amazing - a beautiful view of the coast, little boats and the beach below, as well as the castle. The bed was comfy and the room was super spacious. The bathroom was also good, even tho a little on the smaller side still did the job. The location was also great, really close to a local beach and close to several mini Marts/cafes
Little bit of a walk from the main port, not too bad but we had backpacks and it was all on a slight incline. There was no aircon, only a fan, which was okay for the most part but there were times where it was very hot and the fan wasn’t enough.
Close to the beach and shopping. The beds were super comfortable. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Easy to check-in
Location is 2 min from the beach, very quiet area, garden is full of flowers, like a botanical garden, clean room whit a balcony and view on castel aragonese, very romantic, night life in porto is 10 min for a walk, a lot of small streets with bars and shops
I don't have bad words
fantastic view to the ocean clean good bedfriendly stuffGood communication, late check-in possible
Great location near the beach and shops. Clean rooms and fresh towels every day. Beautiful views towards the sea. Easy check-in.
We had perfect room with plenty of space. Amazing view of the castle. Close to the city centre and beaches.
