Hotel Villa Fumerie

The wonderful family that runs this gorgeous hotel were all very accommodating! They provided us with amazing recommendations that led us to the best meals we had our entire trip, for example their family restaurant called “Emanuel” and another restaurant in Forio called “Ristorante Da Ciccio”. The room is a nice size with an amazing balcony view of the ocean. The A/C also works great! I do recommend renting a scooter to get around town as there are a lot of hills and this hotel is close to Sant Angelo which is a very popular spot. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

Filippo was helpful from the start. He was there to greet us. He gave us great tips. He even offered shampoo when I told him they'd taken mine at the airport.The hotel has all basic facilities. The room had a beautiful terrace with an exceptional view. It's just a stones throw from Sorgeto bay but if you're mobile (we hired a motorino and it was a blessing) you can visit the whole island while being able to return to a quiet place at night.Amber and Sara, Filippo's gorgeous daughters served us breakfast every morning, and always with a smile (even when we asked for three or four coffees). They're exquisite and speak English and French other than Italian which makes it easy for anyone to communicate with them.Jean Paul patiently made us eggs each morning and served us cold cuts.The cleaning lady (didn't get her name) keeps the villa immaculately clean.If you're visiting Ischia and want to be in safe hands, just book :)By the way Ischia is beautiful and you'll love it especially of you're looking for authenticity with a little life but not the frantic rhythm some of these islands tend to offer. Visit Forio, Sant Angelo and get Filippo to book your sunbeds at Le Fumerole and eat lunch cooked in the hot sand. And ask him to get you that motorbike ?

The location was very nice - sea view, nice restaurants in close availability. A special highlight is the thermal water in the sea 5 mins away from the Villa for free.In case one needs drinks or snacks - the shop downstairs is available.

Great location just minutes walk to the famous Baia di Sorgeto, very clean rooms, nice fresh breakfast, owner is very helpful and will organise for you rent a scooter and recommend great places to eat. Very friendly and relaxing atmosphere

Beautiful hotel in a serene location. Hotel owner is so lovely and welcoming. Rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast is delicious. Highly recommend!

I liked everything very much, a wonderful place very interesting and a wonderful beach with hot springs is within walking distance. Very friendly host, very good becoming a lot of positive emotions.

Parking is not so trivial, but anyway still reliable.

Our stay was just what we needed. Highly recommend. Excellent hosts that are welcoming and so helpful! The location was good, being right near the thermal pools meaning that it was perfect for night swims as we could just walk back in a couple of minutes. The breakfast was big and they catered to our dietary requirements, with no fuss. Will be coming back again :) and the view was amazing.

Fillipo was an amazing host! He helped us with planning our trips, giving the best advice on where to go and how to get there and he made our visit unforgettable. Thank you, will come again.

Diego and Filippo are the greatest hosts imaginable and totally make a stay at the villa - they are a great duo and you just wouldn't want to leave. The location is away from the noise and just by Sorgeto bay - it's perfect in every aspect! WE WAAAANT TO COME BACK!!!

The hotel is quite close to the Baia de Sorgeto, and the host was very kind and provided information about nearby restaurants.

Getting to the hotel is not easy if you don't have a car. The buses are crowded and unreliable, and a taxi from the port costs 40+ euros. The host does offer a transfer service, though.
