    • I can only repeat the superlatives others have shared, and it still would not be enough! Iris was exactly the cozy place that we needed for our vacation. The hotel is ideally placed a few minutes walking from the beach (it's an uphill climb from the beach to the hotel) and the bus stop and a longer but beautiful walk from Forio's center and port. The staff was incredibly welcoming and responsive even before our stay as they booked a transfer from the airport for us. Gianluca is a trove of knowledge about everything to do and see on the island - from the shop where tickets for the bus can be bought to the best bays and beaches - and adapting his recommendations depending on the weather as well! He spoke so much and put the spotlight on the beauty of Ischia but maybe did not realize that his hotel played a big part in making our vacation so enjoyable. We were fortunate that upon arrival the woman at reception asked us if we would like to stay for dinner as we wanted to try it but were worried there would be no spots left. We were in for a treat! The delicious dishes (created by Gianluca's father) and Domenico's care and humor made it feel like we had the privilege of being invited into the most hospitable Italian family's home. We had the choice between meat and fish dishes for each course, and those changed every day to highlight the diversity of the Neapolitan and Italian cuisines. We ended up having dinner at the hotel each of our 7 nights thereand I was looking forward to the moment when Domenico would tell us about the dinner menu at breakfast every day! We had no issues whatsoever and only had a request for extra toiletries as we were staying for longer which the room attendants quickly took care of too. They also maintained the hotel always spotlessly clean.Even the joy of the other guests' company is worth noting as the hotel obviously attracts those who appreciate quality. I consider ourselves lucky for staying at Iris!
    • Everything about our stay was wonderful. It started even before we had even left for Italy, with Gianluca recommending Ischia taxi, who organised the ferry trip and transfers to and from the hotel for a very good price and with perfect service. Our welcome to the hotel was exceptionally friendly, and our stay exceeded our expectations the entire time. The hotel is super clean and well kept, comfortable, and has plenty of nice seating options to relax and enjoy yourself. All the staff are super friendly and helpful, the room was great and breakfast was a real highlight every day. Throughout our stay the big gestures and little touches by the staff have made this a truly memorable holiday! We don't usually go back to the same place again, but we will definitely be back at Hotel Iris!
    • Super clean, quiet, great food and service :)

    Cons -

    • Nothing , it was all great!

We absolutely loved our stay here . The rooms are immaculately clean, as is the whole hotel and grounds. The pool area is a little oasis and the roof terrace is perfect for an aperitif. The location is quiet and peaceful , just a short walk to the beach where you can then walk into Forio centre along the coast. Or you can catch the bus from the end of the road into Forio and around the island. All the staff are brilliant, we were made to feel very welcome and we had great advice on where to visit on this beautiful island. We stayed half board, and the food was really delicious and plentiful. Perfect stay ?

Nothing , it was all great!

I can not rate Iris hotel enough! My sister and I came here for 3 nights. We were greeted by the hotel owner- Gianluca, who was just lovely. He gave us so much information about the island which was so helpful. We were given room 2, which had a sea view and balcony, where we could watch the sun set every night. The rooms were extremely clean, and were cleaned daily. The breakfast was great, basic but all fresh. The pool area, we popped to see but didn’t stay there, was also very clean. Every body here was just so friendly, we were greeted with a welcoming smile all the time. It’s about a 20 minute walk into Forio centre, which was great of an evening. The bus stop is just down the road, literally a 3 minute walk and the nearest beach and restaurants are a little further down. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come to stay again. This is a 5 star, 3 star hotel! Thanks for having us!

Great facilities, the AC was a life saver, lots of pastries in the morning, the owners were very helpful and friendly, the cleaning staff and the waiter were very friendly. Overall a 10/10 experience and would definitely come back

Very good service. Made me breakfast to meet my liking. Owner of the hotel and staff very helpful.

Everything! We were welcomed warmly by Gianluca, who really made our stay memorable. We ordered some drinks on the balcony to enjoy the sunset and he gave us such an overwhelming complimentary grazing spread! Our room was a great size for us as a couple, comfortable bed and the air conditioning was a dream. The bathroom was clean and came with great olive oil products to use.The hotel is up on a slight slope which boasts amazing sunsets views, especially from our room 1. There is also a large terrace which you can enjoy a drink from too. Aswell as a view, the hotel also has a pool, jacuzzi and a beautiful setting for an evening meal. It's about a leisurely 15mins walk to the centre of the beautiful Forio, and 25mins walk to the stunning Giardini la Mortella with places to stop for food and drinks. There is a bus stop right at the bottom of the road a 3mins walk from the hotel, going in both directions, so easy access to and from the port of Ischia, Forio and sant'Angelo. We only stayed for 2 nights, but we can't wait to go back for longer as the people on Ischia are so friendly, the food is really ? and we really loved this hotel! So again thanks to Gianluca for welcoming us to the island of Ischia!

    That we couldn't stay longer!

Lovely, little hotel. Staff was absolutely brilliant, always extremely helpful and friendly. If you wish, you may have your dinners there (as well as a very good breakfast buffet). Food was delicious, and lots of it! Rabbit on Thursdays - be there... The hotel can also fix you up with massages and spa services. We had a room up on the top floor, next to the terrace. Both places had great views over the neighbourhood, and the beach 400 m away. We went to Chalet Nonna Carmela, and were very happy with that. You will see beautiful sunsets, either from the hotel, or maybe from one of the small restaurants along the beach. We tried L'Ancora, La Ruota and Mare Chiaia; all were good in their own way. Also went to Saturnino, which was great (albeit a tiny bit on the pricey side). Enclosing a drone shot of the hotel and an example of the sunsets you are likely to experience from your own balcony. All in all: Ischia can be warmly recommended, for so many reasons - and Iris Hotel is just one of them.

Can't really complain. There is a street going past the hotel, and you will hear some motoring. But nothing really disturbing, more like the odd Vespa or car. Stay on the side when you are walking to the beach, though; the streets are narrow.

This hotel was amazing it’s literally 2 minutes away from the closest beach, it was super clean. the best part honestly was the amazing people who work there, they were the nicest people. They gave us recommendations on beaches and restaurants to go to. it was also nice to come down and chat with Jean Luca while my husband got ready. this place made our weekend trip to ischia 1000x better. it was our home away from home, we will definitely come back and recommend to our friends!

I could not imagine a better boutique hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and they become your friends. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and we also used the pool everyday. The meals are very tasty and surprised us with their high quality.

We wished we could have stayed longer.
