Hotel Da Maria

Clean spacious room for a parent raveling with a grown child. Location not convenient. Would like to speak with someone about this hotel. Want to provide pictures steep grade. Would like you to see that you can't access in the rain. I have photos.

Remote location - steep grade to get to from water taxi or from road above. Has anyone visited to see how steep this property access is? In an emergency, how do you get help. I would like to be contacted about this hotel.

The getting there is the challenge but once you accept that that’s the $$$ you pay to have a secluded location it’s okThere are no lifts so be prepared to hike up stairs to and from your outings, restaurant, etc Consider it part of your daily workout to justify the pasta and gelato

Stunningly beautiful view, and private beach. Absolutely beautiful. Water taxi required to and from, which was a fun adventure. Staff was phenomenal - especially Alessandra at reception.

Could not get the A/C to work, despite detailed instructions in English. Slept with the balcony doors open,which was probably even better.

Amazing location with incredible (sunrise) view, quiet (no road noise since far away from a road), easy access to small beach, very nice staff. Excellent affordable restaurant.

Some level of neglect was evident, like holes in mosquito screens, electrical outlets, etc.

they told me it was best to come by water taxi, but the day before I arrived they told me there was no water taxi. the only way to get there was down a steep narrow path. it was raining heavily and the track became a stream that I had to walk/ climb down.when I got there my shoes and clothes were sodden. there were no drying facilities.i had to dry to dry them with the hand dryer. when I left I had to walk with my luggage back up this very steep path. for them it was obviously off season.really they should not advertise in the quiet season. it is obvious that the water taxi does not operate until the proper season.dinner was only 2 very plain choices but I could not contemplate climbing that path in the rain at night to find somewhere decent to eat.although there is a beach it’s a climb down a tricky path for quite a way.

Absolutely beautiful location and views. We arrived in the off season, the motel was very quiet. The room was clean and we had a beautiful seaview. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. They organised taxis for us, to and from the port. We unfortunately had to leave early due to accidently booking our Rome accommodation a day early. We were sad to leave such a beautiful motel.The motel help you with your bags up and down the steep hill. I would have struggled to get up the hill with my heavy suitcase. I'd definitely stay again but only during the summer and peak season.

The room was freezing cold. We put the heater on but it didn't heat the room very well. There were no spare blankets. I assume this is because this is more of a summer destination and we were there in spring. The bed was very hard, not comfortable at all. The pillows weren't great either. This place is great if you want to stay and relax at the motel. However, it has a very steep hill to get up and down and isn't within walking distance to the shops or port. Due to the off season, the restaurant was closed which was understandable. Though it wasn't easy to walk somewhere to get food. We were thankful that the staff made us food the first night we stayed.

i found not enough beachfront and deck chairs were very cramped and so close to one another. Therefore this made me uncomfortable not wanting to sunbake as i was practically lying so close to a stranger and couldn't have a chat with my partner as the person could hear our conversation even if we did whispered. the breakfast was abit satisfactory, would of been nice to see slightly different breakfast each morning. serving boiled eggs is for kids, what does it take scrambled or request poached or fried eggs. View from our room was spectacular

Location is horrible and hard to get to. Beach is difficult to use and unclean. Food is average, pasta used from a packet - not expected when you’re travelling Italy. You’re trapped from the moment you get to the hotel!

Fantastic view. The hotel restaurant is exceptional. Thermal pool right by the hotel. Angelo the captain of the water taxi that takes you from the Harbour to the hotel beach is a joy!

The view from the terrace is outstanding and the hotel was super clean. The staff was so nice, everyone always smiling and ready to help, they really made our stay better! Ideal for people who want to hangout at the hotel and by the hotel beach. We also really enjoyed the food and the service at the hotel restaurant.

The property is more secluded than expected, if the taxi boats are not operating because of the bad weather, it becomes more complicated to move around. Just keep in mind there are a lot of steps to get to the road and once you get there, you either pay a 20$ taxi to take you to Ischia Ponte or walk 30 minutes, with hills.

Our room did not have a view. The beach was not great, lots of rubble and building work right next to the lounging area.

Difficult to reach. Addisional fee, coperto, when eating at the restaurant.

View from bedroom was amazing and the food in the restaurant was good. Ladies who managed the breakfast room were very friendly. Pool area nice and quiet.

Room very small for cost. Location - a long steep walk into town (35mins) and taxi boat not very reliable if weather is not good. Staff in bar area just seemed to stand around looking at their mobiles, so not very inviting. Beach, small and not great - no bar service on it.

The view of the castle is beautiful.

The Hotel Manager/Receptionist was not pleasant and we were relying on her for suggestions and help planning our stay. The rooms are tiny and the beach at the property is dismal.

this hotel is really quite far the ischia porto centre, there is a taxi boat, but it’s not always running due to weather and buses are not that frequent (we were stuck one night getting back to hotel) and still a 10 min steep uphill walk from the hotel, so if you’re planning on visiting different restaurants etc this location isn’t ideal. The breakfast we found poor for a 4 star hotel.

The location and views were absolutely stunning. The breakfast was really lovely. A good selection and the home made cakes were superb. Allesandra on reception and the other female staff were super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The pool area was lovely (although gets very hot). The rooms were spacious, clean and the balcony was great. The food in the restaurant was good but not many options if you do not like seafood.

The beach situation totally lets this beautiful hotel down. Whilst I acknowledge that the beach area is smaller due to a recent landslide, what wasn’t acceptable was that priority for the beach was always given to people who were NOT staying at the hotel. The beach is actually a public beach and gets 100s of people coming in by boat and by land every day. The beach staff reserve the sunbeds for their friends and not for paying hotel guests. You are packed in like sardines. Cigarette butts everywhere. So if like me, and other guests, you think you will have a little peaceful and idyllic beach get away, think again!!The male staff were also quite rude at times.

The property is in a beautiful location a bit away from the busier area and you take a little taxi boat to get to . It has an amazing view of the castle Aragonese and the water . Alessandra at the front desk was very kind and helpful during our stay . I loved that there was a beach club with sand that hotel guests got as a part of their stay . The restaurant was also very delicious ! We ate there 3 or 4 times and loved it .
