    Pros +

    • Isolated, quiet, easy to get around on the property. View from our room was amazing at sunset. Easy walk to my favorite pizza restaurant - Di Meglio. Friendly people and great pizza. I ate there 5 times in a week.
    • - very nice warm pools in the basement- beach is directly by the hotel- there are some restaurants, food shops in a walking distance- room was old fashioned, but still enough space: our family room was had a slide door enabling divide from the part where children slept
    • The atmosphere is wonderful, location, service, facilities are super clean, beach is wonderful.

    Cons -

    • Felt like we were onset for the movie "Cocoon 3". Guest were nice, but most in their 70-80s. Breakfast was not very relaxing as certain items had limited amounts, so go early or get what is left. Very busy at the buffet, but plenty of prunes. Front desk people were not out going, you had to ask for additional help past the initial request. Every adventure off the property was at least 60 Euros in taxi fees.
    • - walking from harbor wasnt a good idea, a bit far away if you have luggage: connection to the town only by taxi- poor breakfast- room needs renovation
    • the variety of food at breakfast could have been a little better, but overall food is fresh

The breakfast buffet was very good.

The hotel would have once been magnificent but is now quite dated. The property was further out of town than we expected so there was a ~20 Euro taxi fare to get into town. The beds were a bit hard / decor dated.

Very nice hotel with big thermal spa.Beautiful location, great beach and pool area.Breakfast and dinner were excellent.Room was very clean.Staff was friendly and helpful.15 minutes and you are in the port of Forio. It was excellent time in this hotel.

A/C was little bit loud, but worked well.

This is my second stay and this resort is impeccable and perfection. The location and private beach is magnificent. The spa is world class. The food is beyond delicious. Staff is friendly and professional.

None of these comments are deal breakers but more a preference: the breakfast start time is a little late at 7:30am. And the scrambled eggs are brought out even later to the buffet. Access to coffee earlier than 7:30 would be helpful while waiting for breakfast. This visit, there were couple of unexpected experiences: loud music every night, and a lot of small screaming children in the adult pools on some of the days. I didn't realize this resort allowed kids under 18...and was shocked by the loud screaming children all splashing about the inside/outdoor spa pools. This resort always seemed oriented towards adults, not the young family/small screaming kids. That was a bummer as the thermal spa caters to more mature convalescing adults attempting to get and be well...the pools are too small for all the little kids trying to have fun...Again not deal breakers- just a surprise. We will be back better prepared next time.

Shower cold, small shower, would not replace beach towels. Poor quality towels in the room poor quality robes staff very unhelpful at the front desk. Knight staff was much friendlier at the desk. No coffee before 7:30 AM other than out of a machine.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed. Old Italian style but very well maintained. Our stay was perfect. There is beautiful pool with many chairs to sit, there is a private beach which is spectacular. There’s a bit of rocks but very spaced out. Cute little beach bar. 15-20 minute walk from forio port. Hotel also offers different excursions. Room was very clean and was cleaned daily. Staff was very friendly. 5 minute walk there was also beautiful restaurants by the water. Overall stunning place and we would definitely go back.

Beautiful property with a gorgeous beach! We utilized the sun lounges and loved the little kiosk on the beach. The pool was pretty and there were a variety of other amenities scattered around the large property. Sunset over the water each evening was lovely. The room was dated, but very comfortable and had everything we needed. A/C was appreciated overnight in the height of summer! We walked to local restaurants, into Forio, and to neighboring beaches. All were easily accessible.

The onsite restaurants had varying opening hours which didn’t always line up with our needs, but the food was good!

This hotel has some beautiful rooms overlooking the sea and gorgeous sunset.

Some rooms in the back of the hotel do not have a view and air conditioner unit installed under the window takes a long time to cool a room

    On the beach

I left a very expensive shirt at the plaza. The next day I explained my situation to a very young man at the front desk and asked if they have a lost and found. I was told sorry. As nf that there is no lost and found area. He made no further attempts or calls. The following day I went to the poolside bar where a very helpful young man (Luca) made several calls on the phone. Luca explained there is a lost and found and we went back to the front desk. A most helpful woman working the front desk that day named Roberta, not only said absolutely there is a lost and found area but got up , went to it , and brought back my shirt. Wow! All the front desk men were older and very mature and helpful. Only the one youngest should not be at the front desk.

The hotel is very well organized with swimming pools, green areas and easy access to the beach. Friendly and nice staff in general. A lot of opportunities for health treatment in the spa.

-During the day you can eat only between 1 and 2 pm. It would be great to extend this time. -Breakfast could be improved with more fruits and quality of cheese and ham. -Air conditioning during dinners was not sufficient: it was too hot.

The breakfast, the pools, the beach, the view

Not much could have been better

Gorgeous views, plenty of space in pools. Beach is lovely. Our family room was perfect for our family of 4. Taxis were easy to get from property. Beach bar is great for snacks or lunch. The DJ brought a mellow but fun vibe 2 nights. Best part is the sunset views & ease of pool & beach.

The restaurants are set up to serve guests whose meals came with their hotel package, almost like a cruise. We chose to eat off property which was super easy. There are 4 restaurants within a few minutes walk.

The spa and thermal pools were very nice. The room and grounds were spotless.

We did not buy the full meal plan. We only bought breakfast. Full pension had assigned tables. We were shuffled about for a place to sit at breakfast and told there was no room for us at dinner.

    10PaulinePosted on: 5-2-2025

Location is the best! Sunsets are fabulous and you are so close to town you can walk. Scooter rental is also close by and small grocery store if you want a snack.

    All exceptional.

If I could rate this hotel at 11/10 I would. The location, facilities, attentive and helpful staff, the private beach/onsite spa, and incredible breakfast made my stay unforgettable. Everything was above and beyond all expectations. WiFi worked perfectly across the entire property and the bed was soooooo comfortable. I wish I could have stayed longer. Ischia is a wonderful, magical island.

Nothing that would keep me from not booking again. Disappointing spa services (had a massage and facial that were mediocre at best) and the gym facilities could use an update, not much equipment and a broken squeaky treadmill. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Such a beautiful classic italian hotel! Stunning view! Nice staff who arranged everything for us.

I had a problem with the hard bed. I got a sore back.

Perfect everything... Excelent location near quiet private beach, 6 outside and 5 inner pools some warm, excellent cuisine, friendly and helpfull staf.

For starters, the hotel is stunning. The grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained. The private beach was fantastic.

While we were so impressed with the hotel and facilities, we were disappointed with the hotel restuarants. We made a reservation at L’Ulivo Restaurant and when we arrived they acknowledged our reservation but still could not accommodate us. We were able to go the next night and found the menu very limited. We had no choice but to stay due to a thunderstorm, and the meals were nothing special. Plus we paid much more than restaurants close by which were unbelievably good, and less costly. We did not eat at “La Vela” but went in for a look and the atmosphere was a turn off. Very bright lights and a big salad bar in the middle. Not for us.
