About

Set on the Island of Ischia, Terme Floridiana is just a 2-minute walk from the beach. It offers indoor and outdoor pools, 2 restaurants and small spa center. All air-conditioned rooms come with satellite TV and a balcony or terrace. Set in a quiet pedestrian zone, the Floridiana was built in 1900 and features a garden with palm trees. Rooms have Mediterranean-style furnishings and cool tiled floors. Each includes a private bathroom with hairdryer. Some rooms offer sea views. Breakfast is a sweet buffet, with cakes, croissants and biscuits. The poolside restaurant is open for light lunches, while the main restaurant serves local cuisine for lunch and dinner. Boats to mainland Italy leave from Ischia port, 0.8 mi away. It is a 10-minute drive to Casamicciola Terme.

    Pros +

    • The property was beautiful. The location was good. Restaurants were good. Very helpful staff! Breakfast was exceptional.
    • - the staff is very friendly! - very good breakfast - location - is closed to the port, close to the bus, close to the beach, very convenient
    • Amazing location with quality breakfast and pool.

    Cons -

    • The beds were very hard, and the pillows were uncomfortable.
    • - the beds are not very comfortable - I find it very inconvenient that you have to pay for the towels at the pool and the cap, just include it in the hotel rate- also there is no iron and you don't have the possibility to borrow one, you have to give them your clothes to iron them and that comes with an extra charge that no one told me about- the hotel over all is nice but all this extra charges make it inconvenient - also I think it's overrated, the hotel is nice but pretty old style.
    • Beds and bedding could use an upgrade.

    - Location, on main street not far from port - Near lots of restaurants, bars and shops- Swimming pools- Access to beach- Excellent breakfast selection- Friendly staff - Outside room terrace

    - Dated furniture - Small shower cubicle- TV not fixed properly to wall (wobbly and at an angle)

    Everything!!

That you had to wear caps in the pool - it was extremely hot when we were there! The pool closed at 7.00 pm - would have been nice if you could still use it until 9 - 10 pm!

Great location, nice pool and breakfast and lunch are very good. The rooms are a bit dated but very clean. The hotel is well maintained and the grounds are beautiful

Some of the staff were borderline rude. They don't go the extra mile to make your stay as pleasant as it could be. The pool has a rule that you must wear swim caps. Never done this anywhere I've traveled

The best location right in the middle of the traffic free shopping area, 2 mins from the beach and walking distance to port and castle. The 4 course dinner for 30 euros was fabulous. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

I would have liked a steam room. There were 2 spa pools but one was a bit further from main pool. The other one next to the pool we weren't sure what the rules were regarding its use. It would be helpful to have clear written instructions on charges and rules regarding pool use. Coffee in room would be nice.

Bright clean sophisticated. Great reception service. Excellent breakfast. On site parking.

Tiny issue really - no tea making facilities in room. However kettle and cups provided when requested.

Amazing location , with a delicious breakfast to start any day .

Lack of air conditioning left us leaving the doors open for ventilation and victim to mosquitos .

The thermal pools were excellent. Great to relax and get away from the heat.

Disposable plastic cups in the room. Difficult to hold and not reusable. A couple of glasses in the room for water would be better. Extra charge for pool towel, plus extra charge for mandatory swimming caps. Finding out the booking.com rate was above the hotel standard rate.

    8BeverlyPosted on: 8-28-2023

Overall decor and mood of hotel is very relaxing. Great variety of food at breakfast. Very helpful and attentive staff.

Marketing material deceptive -- guests should be advised in advance that a swim cap is required for pool usage.

Beautiful hotel, lovely entrance, great access to the beach, good breakfast and amazing location. We had a very small balcony but still nice. The pools were great and always clean.

The internet was terrible and we always need reliable internet for work. For two days it didn’t work at all and every time we mentioned it they said someone would call IT but then the next person on duty did not know about it. When the internet did work, you had to keep logging in even after a few minutes when your device went to sleep. There is a 240 min limit per day. I also feel it is terrible to charge for the use of a towel. We have never experienced this anywhere in the world including other hotels in Italy. I am happy to pay a deposit to ensure the towel is returned by €8 per towel is unfair and a big negative.

A lovely building in a great location. Rooms kept very clean and the view from the balcony across to the sea was lovely. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Good food in both the restaurant and snack bar and nice cocktails. Breakfast was a lovely selection of fruit, pastries, eggs etc. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas at the pool which was a good size for swimming. Staff were really friendly and helpful and kindly spoke to us in English even though it was a mainly Italian tourist crowd.

The room was quite small considering the cost. I don't feel hotels should be encouraging the cleaning of towels every day in these times of global warming. They cleaned whether we put the sign out or not. The snack bar could have had more options such as salads. Italy have made it mandatory to wear swim caps in the pool which will put me off going back. It looks awful, is uncomfortable and I don't see the hygiene benefits. The thermal pool is full of copper so it turns everything green. I would advise taking green or dark coloured swim suits. It does come out but needs a lot of washing.

We were warmly greeted when we arrived and personally escorted to our room. The room was made up for us (family of 4) and the wonderful open terrace had peek-a-boo views of the sea. The pool areas were nice and the bartender in the pool bistro was top notch. Swim caps (lycra fabric) are required but they have them on site. Dinner in the dining room at night was delicious (pre-fixed menu with choices of each course) and the staff was wonderful. The staff helped arrange taxis and ferry tickets and were overall wonderful.

The room was a little smaller than anticipated but we only stayed two nights and it was just fine.

Breakfast was much more than the standard ‘continental’ style of pastries which we had expected from the hotels website. It included a selection of fresh fruit, protein sources such as eggs and very good coffee service with milk.

Being a facility built some years ago, finding one’s ‘way’ around the place required planning. That’s not a critique any more than an observation. We need ti get accustomed to Italian elevators!
