    • Balcony with beautiful ocean views. Wonderful spa. Front desk staff were wonderful. Close walk into centro storico.
    • Royal Sunset was lovely! We enjoyed the panoramic ocean view, especially from the dining terrace. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and were very helpful with calling taxis or booking restaurant reservations. The spa was great and pretty expansive, and we really appreciated that use of the facilities was included with her stay. The food was delicious! We enjoyed a few meals there beyond the daily included breakfast. The location is easily walkable to Forio center, and a bus stop is across the street. We didn’t have much luck with the buses, but the local taxi drivers are great! The room had AC which was much appreciated on the hot days! It was very spacious with lots of closet space and a large bathroom. We hope to return again soon!
    • It was beautiful, the pools and spa were amazing The view was incredibleVery easy to access everything

    Cons -

    • Mattress was not very comfortable, shower was very small.
    • My only complaint was that the beds were very firm. They weren’t awful, but not the most comfortable.

Amazing, very kind, and extremely helpful hotel staff — every single one of them! Thank you for making our stay wonderful. The hotel is located right in front of the sea, and you can enjoy stunning sunsets from the terrace. It’s also very well located: if you arrive from Naples, I recommend taking the aliscafo to Forio port (only a 15-minute walk from the hotel). The center of Forio is about a 10-minute walk away, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and sandy beaches. At the same time, the hotel is in a calm and quiet area, perfect for rest. For us, it was an excellent choice because we didn’t have our own transport — it’s easily accessible, with a bus stop right in front of the hotel and many bus options from Forio to explore the island. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Breakfast could be improved. We stayed for three nights and it was the same every day. If you prefer a protein-based savory breakfast, options are very limited — just scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, and sausages repeated daily.

Breakfast was nice, we stayed for 4 nights. It’s also walking distance from the shopping and restaurant area.

Nothing. Maybe it would be useful if the reception staff spoke some English..

This place was perfect for us! So close to walk into forio but quiet at night. Staff were exceptional and the facility was clean. The spa was wonderful too. Would absolutely recommend.

Staff were welcoming, place was spacious, spa facilities great and overall a great experience for the money.

Outdoor area a wee bit hard to access

We loved our stay here. Free access to the spa and a very good included breakfast made us feel like king and queen. Perfect sunset views, kind staff, non-touristy neighborhood. Would highly recommend.

For the time of the year was perfect. Sauna and the beach in walking distance, Forio is about 10 min by foot with excellent food. The breakfast was nice as well.

The single room is ok from size but the bed is too small.

    9DianaPosted on: 9-23-2024

We got our room upgraded to the sea view and it was amazing. Location was 12 minutes walking distance from Porto Forio. 5/7 minutes to the Forio centre and about 25 minutes to Poseidon by foot. Spa entry was free but unfortunately we had no time to visit even once. We stayed for 4 nights. Room was cleaned daily and towels were changed also.

Breakfast was great selection of pastries but no vegetables, just tomato. Only 2 types of cheese but no ricotta or mozzarella. From hot options only boiled eggs or scrambled and sausage. It is not completely dark in the room at night as light outside is very bright and night curtain still lets some light in at the sides.

Royal Sunset Hotel was ideal for a week in Ischia. The room was comfortable, well decorated, spacious, and light. The balcony was great for drying clothes after a day at the beach or having a drink in the evening. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked really well. The breakfast was excellent. It was lovely eating breakfast overlooking the sea every day. The bar was also really good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were welcoming and made the stay very pleasant. The spa was absolutely stunning. I didn't expect to spend a lot of time there but it was so nice that we kept going back.

The bathroom was a little bit dated compared to the rest of the room but this is only a minor criticism. It is still very nice and worked perfectly. It would also have been nice to have other things included in the room like a bath robe but again, a very minor critique.

Location, staff, views, the pools, and quiet even though it's very close to the center of Forio

Wifi was sometimes weak in the room. Minor inconvenience

    9LenkaPosted on: 7-20-2024

We got both rooms with sea view and it was really nice surprise. Breakfasts with everything you need, kind and helpful staff.

    9Joel R. B.Posted on: 7-16-2024

The location was excellent. A few minutes from Forio on foot. The hotel was very clean and the staff was excellent.

The beds were very hard and uncomfortable.

    9Joel R. B.Posted on: 7-15-2024

The entire hotel was very clean. Loved the thermal waters, pool, sauna and steam room. The location is across the street from the sea and a five minute walk to the town of Forio with cafes, shops, and restaurants. Short walk to the beaches of Foria with chair and umbrella rentals. I would definitely come back and stay again.

    Uncomfortable hard beds.

Royal Sunset Hotel was a great place to stay! Their health retreat area was amazing offering relaxing pools and saunas under the hotel. The location was perfect for getting to and from the ferry and around the island. The hotel assisted with a scooter hire which we used to get around the island. The room was clean, large and comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious, served in their restaurant overlooking the ocean!

The hotel restaurant was limited in the opening hours for food. Outside of these hours we were unable to have a substantial meal at the hotel.

The breakfast was very rich, diverse, the staff was very kind and relaxed. I had an amazing time, thank you!

The fact that I stayed only for 1 night

The staff were amazing and so helpful. Extremely kind and helpful. They are an amazing team and we appreciate them for their hard work.

Although we booked this hotel as my Mum is disabled, it’s not fully accessible as per British standards. It would be great if there was a shower seat, and the bathroom was large enough to get a wheelchair in and turn. Also breakfast although was delicious, was slightly limited. There were no fruits or a water fountain for filling your water bottle. It’s so hot that this would be extremely helpful.

Loved the quietness of the location but also closeness to shops and local attractions. Best thing about this hotel is without doubt the SPA. Enormous SPA with several pools, jacuzzi, sauna etc. Pools with different temperatures, ranging from warm to really hot. Would recommend.
