    Pros +

    • First of all, the location is utterly astonishing. It's right at the edge of Passo Pordoi, on the Arabba side, with all the implications of this fact. The views are spectacular. The way up is around 30-ish hairpins from either direction. The traffic is either terribly heavy or non-existent depending on the season and the time of day. Do not expect a whole lot of options when it comes to restaurants, obviously. But looking up at the mountains from there is totally worth it.The rooms are somewhat simplistic, traditional. They are clean, functional, nevertheless. The common areas are great, they are really cozy, well-furnished, and airy. The staff is kind, helpful, courteous. There were not a whole lot of people at the time of our travel, so we really felt the attention provided. The kitchen is great, the dinner was very delicious (half-board: three courses, three choices for both first and second course, rather good food, great dessert), and the breakfast was also pretty good, kitchen service staff was also very kind and attentive.
    • Amazing location on a scenic mountain pass, perfect for visiting Piz Boè and for experiencing the alpine atmosphere. Very quiet and cozy at night, while during the day the pass is full of activity. Tasty food and a restaurant with a wonderful view of the mountains.
    • Great breakfast.Easy access to Sella RondaGreat dinner menu to chose from and a great buffé

    Cons -

    • Expect that you are still in a mountain pass. Water is somewhat difficult to get up there, so there is some water-consumption based payment. Our room was probably a later addition to the building, so it was a bit cold-ish in October. Nothing freezing, but certainly not warm either.
    • I went out late in the evening to look at the night sky, and when I came back everything was locked, nobody was around, and no one answered the phone. If my wife hadn’t been inside to let me in through the emergency exit (which could only be opened from inside), I would have had to spend the night outside...
    • Capacity of sauna was sometimes unsufficient, missing doormat (or any other option how to keep the floor clean).

Outstanding, quiet location near to ski lifts, nice room, which was cleaned every day, warm and communicative staff, very good quality of breakfests and dinners (4 courses).

Capacity of sauna was sometimes unsufficient, missing doormat (or any other option how to keep the floor clean).

The cuisine was excellent, the views are amazing and the staff if very considerate and professional.

Spacious, clean rooms with access to some of the greatest hiking trails in the world.

Great location, clean rooms, good food, helpful staff.

Rooms are not very big, but big enough.

The location could not be better. The views are just incredible. The staff was super friendly, creating friendships with each one. They were very helpful in helping us choose which hikes/ferrata’s to do.

The property and rooms are a little old, depends if that’s ok with you.

Close to Piz Boe, planned hike.Good salad/breakfast scheme.

    Several facilities out of service.

It was a perfect experience… Ski and ski out at the foot of the dolomites right on the Sella Ronda, breakfast and dinner included, absolutely beautiful views, and very helpful staff. There is not a place to rent skis very close by, so the manager personally drove me down to where I could rent them and showed me which ski lift to take to come back when I was done. The sauna and whirlpool were amazing after a long day of skiing as well, and the food was great. Nothing was five stars, but I was quite pleased as a solo traveler, and it was a fantastic value for the money. Would definitely consider staying here again.

    9MartinPosted on: 8-18-2023

Nice staff, very good food, stylish rooms but most important - awesome location on top of pass, the view is excellent

Missing garage for the motorbike but they have private parking lots

I love the Savoia. I come out to Passo Pordoi at least once a year for paragliding / base jumping, and the Savoia is always the place to stay. The owners are super sweet, the food's exceptional, and being right at the top of the pass is awesome.

    9PhilippePosted on: 6-3-2023

the surrounding mountains are exceptional with an amazing view from our hotel room (111). Friendly staff. Easy with our dog.

in comparison with other hotels where we’ve stayed, the dinner could be improved. The breakfast was good.beautiful terrace.

    10WizPosted on: 4-1-2023

Wake up, eat great breakfast, walk 10 meters, ski all day long :)

    8KevinPosted on: 3-9-2023

We arrived late for an overnight stay. We left early the following morning, so had limited experience of the facilities. The staff were good enough to extend the kitchen opening time so that we could eat dinner and the staff generally were very helpful. The hotel is reasonably typical of a mid-range ski hotel. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Overall we felt the hotel offered reasonable value for money for the area. It is located around 50m from the top of a ski lift, so almost possible to ski out and finish your day with a chair lift up to Passo Pordoi. It's not big on nightlife, but this wasn't a problem for us.

The hotel showed some signs of wear and tear in places, but this is not unusual for a family-run ski hotel.

Beautiful views, remote location. Nice room and bathroom. Stunning locale.

Loved the quiet location but be warned that off peak there is nothing around except the mountains. It's about 20 mins by car down to nearest village down windy and STEEP roads.

    6RogerPosted on: 9-8-2022

The position is ideal for the cable car and there is absolute silence at night.

There are fitted carpets in the rooms and that’s not good for hygiene. Dinner unexceptional.
