Albergo Ristorante Monterosa

The property is close to Orta San Giulio. It's in a very quiet location with great views of the mountains surrounding Lake Orta including Monte Rossa. There are balconies and a big terrace facing the lake. The staff is great. and dinner was amazing.

The rooms are comfortable but very basic with poor soundproofing. Breakfast is quite basic.

The staff was just the best, they even allowed us to check in after hours and get our last breakfast a bit earlier in order to make it to the airport on time. The beds were very comfy, the hotel has everything you need, the rooms have spacious balconies with a good view of the mountains.

Hotel's door simply is closed till 4 pm, don't expect any early check in.The restaurant is a bit overpriced for this remote location with not really friendly staff.

Lovely family runned hotel in a beautiful spot. Perfect service at the hotel and in the restaurant.

Everything was wonderful

There was a very warm welcome from Roberto on the front desk. We were shown to a lovely large room with balconies offering great views across lake Orta to the lightly snow-covered Monterosa mountains. A great shower and double air cond units which - due to the late season chilliness - we didn't need. We dined in the hotel's restaurant and had great service and food. There were quite a few diners in that evening which added a friendly ambience.

Nothing could have been bettered.

Very welcoming staff. Easy parking and made to feel very welcome. Excellent dinner …straightforward menu and a good wine list at reasonable prices. Enjoyable breakfast.

Decor a tad dated but the room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel had beautiful views and such lovely staff. We stayed to take part in a half marathon nearby and the staff were so helpful! We told the man on reception when we checked in that we had to leave before breakfast and asked if he could arrange a taxi to the run, he was very kind and set us up a packed lunch to keep in our mini fridge so we could eat before, and also arranged for another staff member to give us and other hotel guests a lift to the run as it was a little early for taxis. Could not thank them enough, they even allowed us a late checkout so we could come back and shower afterwards! Would 100% stay here again :)

The hotel is located in a very quiet area. The view from my room is beautiful and relaxing. The room was always cleaned on time.

Nice position with a good view on the valley. Free parking. Very clean. Comfortable bed and good aircon working. Good value for money

It’s a quite basic property with furniture of the eighties (although well maintained and in good condition). Breakfast a bit “hospital type”

The view from the room was fantastic…except we didn’t see it because we arrived at 8pm and left for MXP in the early hours of the morning. It was a last minute decision to stay here but we wished we had stayed longer. The staff and owner were fantastic and friendly and the room was wonderful. Ample parking. Fast wi-fi. Will definitely return but stay longer next time.

A lovely family owned and operated hotel, beautifully situated, with simple, home made food at amazingly low cost. Highly recommended.

Dog friendly. Good evening meal and breakfast. Good size quiet room with balcony and great view. Prompt attention to problem with shower cubicle, very impressive service. Friendly helpful staff. Good locstion Would definitely stay again if in area.

Beautiful view from the terrace of the room and the sunset. The staff was very friendly from the moment we checked in, when we were given useful information. Good choice for breakfast. A wonderful place for a few days of rest and visiting the nearby lakes

It's not a luxury hotel, but the price is also not high. It is definitely a good value for money. The restaurant food is great.

There was a weird smell in the room as from some insecticide - perhaps they sprayed against mosquitos?
