    Pros +

    • We got lucky. The owner changed our booking to a superior room, and the place was magical. Detail on detail on detail everywhere, but still keeping it classy and fun with all the dog statues around. The owner was very friendly and gave us great tips for the restaurants around.
    • Disaster. The owner called us goats.
    • This place is a gem, it's an unique experience, words can't describe it. A boutique hotel with such a special decor, lovely staff and a delicious homemade breakfast. We went off season and couldn't enjoy the pool facilities but even without that experience, there is plenty to do in the area. The room was cosy, spacious, clean and full of character.

    Cons -

    • ? False advertising. THREATS. Aggressive owner. Chaotic energy. Tiny rooms packed with random “rare collectibles". Zero professionalism. Making your kids cry.?If you like flea market decor, random yelling, router conspiracy theories, and tiptoeing around priceless statues, La Zarabba is your dream. If you like peace, privacy, and basic respect as a guest — RUN.The owner is a woman named Sylvia (with red shoulder-length hair), and you’ll likely also meet Michaella, a waitress in her 20s with brown hair.At first, Michaella seemed friendly and attentive. But as soon as issues started, her attitude did a full 180° — she became rude, unprofessional, and even tried to lecture us, telling guests they should "wake up earlier" (two hours before breakfast ends!) if they wanted to catch breakfast.Professionalism clearly isn’t part of the training here.We booked two rooms at La Zarabba expecting a boutique hotel experience as advertised — including a private jacuzzi as listed on Booking.com.When we arrived and realized the rooms did not have the promised amenities, we refused to move and wanted to cancel our stay.Instead of addressing the issue professionally, the owner immediately began yelling at us and THREATENING TO CALL THE POLICE ON US — escalating what should have been a simple conversation into a hostile confrontation within minutes of arrival. Our kids started crying, it quickly became a completely chaos. When we reasoned with her that jacuzzi is indeed mentioned on booking, Sylvia answered (I quote) that "she does not care". We stayed only because we were dumbfounded, tired after the long drive, and absolutely shell-shocked from the "warm" welcome.Fun extra features we, as guests, didn't ask for:** The hotel is a cramped space packed with “rare collectible items” — statues, furniture, fragile decor — all accompanied by warnings that guests will be financially responsible if anything breaks.
    • Bathroom was a little small but ok
    • - Extremely rude and dishonest owners who were unwilling to help us in anyway, we do not recommend staying at this hotel.- We specifically made a request for twin beds, which the hotel agreed to via email however there was only a double bed. - Listing states that we would have use of a washing machine however this was an error, they have a laundry service for 75+ euros for a normal load of washing (no ironing). Took us hours to get it sorted in the town. - Very cluttered rooms with tacky items everywhere which are left in places easy to damage - owner has notices around if any item is damaged she will charge extremely large amounts. Would encourage anyone with kids not to even consider this hotel.- 6 euros for a 330ml Can of Coca Cola is one example of their exorbitant prices.

    - Hotel is extensively decorated and breakfast was included, however many issues we faced let the property down and as a result we recommend other travellers book elsewhere.

    - Extremely rude and dishonest owners who were unwilling to help us in anyway, we do not recommend staying at this hotel.- We specifically made a request for twin beds, which the hotel agreed to via email however there was only a double bed. - Listing states that we would have use of a washing machine however this was an error, they have a laundry service for 75+ euros for a normal load of washing (no ironing). My husband and I stayed in one of the least expensive rooms and yet it was wonderful.

The absence of bidet is the only thing I missed but the hotel is So beautiful So clean So unique that it’s nothing considering the absence of this accommodation in every other country except Italy.

The hotel is a real gem in the countryside and the reality is even better than the pictures! Lots of nice touches, decorations and stylish details. Breakfast was amazing, with all one would want. Products have very good quality and taste great. We tried the restaurant on one of the evenings and was delicious!!!!

We booked 2 superior double rooms with balconies, were given just 1. explanation was there weren’t enough available for us. That annoyed me a bit but at least I got a small refund. Would pay better attention to what the customers book.

Georges hotel, spotless clean! The hotel has a perfect location for exploring the surroundings. Great swimming pool and jacuzzi with sun beds area. The owner and the staff are very helpful.

Great breakfast with buffet style combined with a la cart options (included), great room with air-conditioning and window screens for a good night sleep in the dark. Great swimming pool in a beautiful garden with plenty of space and comfortable sunbeds. Rooms were super clean every single day.

Only minor minor remark: toilet space in the bathroom was a bit limited but not a problem

Nice restaurant and breakfast. Calm environment.

Tiny rooms, room for 4 not possible to move inside. Almost no shade, for hot summit is difficult. The waitress during breakfast was gloomy, we didn’t feel welcome, she reacted aggressively, when we reminded her about our order. Other people were nice.

This boutique hotel is very unique, since I've entered the place I thought I was thrown into a different century...very eclectic and eccentric at the same time, this hotel has a positive and calming atmosphere... The room was impeccably cleaned, the staff is very friendly and professional. I spent 3 nights there, I've decided to work in the bedroom, relax by the swimming pool at lunch time and going for a stroll after 6pm. You're very near all the major attractions and beautiful villages by the lake. I highly recommend this hotel, I will definitely go back there when I'll have the chance.

Everything was perfect.. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Clean and comfortable, the staff were kind and helpful. A beautiful outdoor pool with a yard view.

It was far from the city and without a car it was a bit hard to get there by public transportation

Everything!:) This small hotel is not a basic one! The interior is very far from our taste, but in this hotel it works so good, we loved every minute of our stay. The staff also very kind, the breakfast is super delicious and the room is perfectly cleen. We will definitely come back.

    We loved everything:)

Everything was so charming, the nicest little hotel i have ever been in, clean room, great breakfast, nice pool and garden. 15 minutes away from lake Garda.

    10LisaPosted on: 10-23-2023

The hotel was eclectic bohemian with porcelain everywhere and dog statues in every corner. Host was extremely lovely and breakfast was great. The restaurant next door was excellent and well staffed.

    Leaving the cosy room.
