Pros +
- Oasis above Come, epic view, great price, fantastic food and exceptional service.
- Breakfast was delicious
- We liked the location. Beautiful view. Very easy to get to from the funicular.
Cons -
- Nothing is included, everything seemed to be additional or was booked. Bed was uncomfortable and staff wasn’t very accommodating even when visiting in off season
- No air conditioning. Water in the shower was an issue. No water pressure. Our last day we had NO water, just a trickle.
- Almost everything..!! Let’s start from the small old room and very old furniture, The mattress is not suitable for sleeping, and certainly not for hotel guests who pay a lot of money. First of all, you can't sleep on a mattress that has a valley in the middle and you have to look for a bank to put your back on to try to sleep. Needless to say, it didn't work!!!! A good mattress is a basic thing that every hotel must provide for its guests!!!! The toilet and shower were out of place, a loud and smelly plaster break inside the room, no hot water, just horrible!!!!!

Amazing views, location, and staff. Breakfast had an great assortment of items... and again the view, breathtaking over Lake Como with snowcapped Alps beyond. Plus wonderful restaurant on ground floor. The building has the wonderful quirks of an older italian villa, so quaint and charming, exactly what we were hoping it would be!
I knew it was on the hill above Como, but I didn't know it was that much above ? Anyway, lovely place with a nice touch of old times. Everything was perfect, clean, staff always available. We had dinner in their restoran and that was a good decision. Breakfast continental, more than excellent
Our beds were 190cm in length therefore a bit unpleasant
amazing views
only 3 parking spaces if you have a large car you will struggle to get in and out very tight
Everything was perfect.Staff were excellent. My daughter spent a wonderful birthday at the restaurant, food was yummy!
Renato and the rest of the staff were very nice and accommodating! Felt like home! And the view is amazing!
Not a hotel issue but the funicular line can be too long at peak times, so plan accordingly.
The view was fantastic, hotel's design is really cozy
Breakfast was low variety for us on vegetables, cold cuts, breadMost of the staff was very nice, with one exception unfortunately. Some tips for a better customer satisfaction:- put a smile on- let guests sit at any available table they want to- don't take away their food, if they're not present for a few mins, but their belongings are still at the table
View was amazing, vibes and decor was amazing
No one will help you with the luggage, breakfast with few options only, the road was dangerous
Situated in a charming historic building, the hotel offers stunning views over Lake Como.
I encountered several issues that I believe warrant owners attention.Breakfast Experience:The breakfast offered each day was identical, consisting of one boiled egg, one cornetto, one natural yogurt, one bun, one kiwi or apple, and two slices of ham per person. The lack of variety became monotonous over the course of our stay.Dinner Service:On our first night, my wife ordered the Irish steak slices, which were unfortunately quite chewy. We noticed that other guests who ordered the same dish had similar experiences. Due to this, we chose to dine in Como the following evening.Upon returning to the hotel, we decided to have a drink and seated ourselves at a table by the window. When the waitress brought the menu, we informed her that we only intended to have drinks. She then asked us to sit outside, stating that indoor tables were reserved for dining guests, including walk-ins. As the restaurant was nearly empty at that time and it was chilly outside, we requested to remain indoors. The waitress agreed but asked us to move to a table without a view. This made us feel that walk-in guests were given priority over hotel guests, despite our room rate of €200 per night.Departure Day Breakfast:We requested that breakfast be served 30 minutes earlier on our departure day, and this request was accepted. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, breakfast was not ready. Each item (egg, cornetto, bun, ham) was brought to us individually at five-minute intervals, causing unnecessary delays.Additionally, I noticed that the restaurant's morning food deliveries came from a large cash-and-carry supplier, including items like eggs. Given the restaurant's upscale positioning, I believe sourcing ingredients from local suppliers would enhance the dining experience and support the local community.I hope this feedback is helpful in improving the services offered to future guests.
Amazing view and friendly staff. The room is super cute in old style. The house is charming and we had a lovely experience. Parking was easy by pre-booking the spot with the hotel. Breakfast was delicious! We had dinner one night in the hotel’s restaurant and it was amazing, both flavor and view. The mattress in our bed was a bit worn out and could be more comfortable.
Breakfast is really average and limited.
The room is very dated and needs some overall maintenance, the bathroom, shower!!!
The property is a little gem, very well maintained in its old fashioned style, like a monument of culture if it’s not already. Incredible views and the atmosphere is just he of a kind, like a Wes Anderson movie.
Fabulous location and views, delicious food with great atmosphere and friendly staff. We loved exploring Brunate and traveling via the funiculare. We will be back!
Simply everything was exceptional here. Staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful, view is gorgeous and restaurant has gault millau quality.
Nothing, it was just perfect
Location, view, restaurant, staff.
Nothing to report.
Beautiful location, historic building, terrific restaurant, amazing view, courtesy of the stuff.
If necessary say something bad is just to be aware that because is a historic three floor building not there is the elevator.
Older house renovated into a hotel. It is interesting and unique with a breathtaking view from everywhere.
Parking was very tricky with my big car.
