    Pros +

    • The hotel is in a very good location for my travel.Friendly staff.
    • Excellent base for visiting the VW Autostad and private VW collection only one stop on the train. Fallersleben is lovely and would recommend the two German restaurants The Altes Brauhaus and Hoffmannhaus with traditional German food and great beer!
    • The hotel itself is wonderful, the room was very clean and has almost everything that is needed, I would only add maybe an electric teapot with mugs and an extra pillow. The location is exactly in the old town of Fallersleben. It's certainly a positive moment if you travel for vacation. Although on the day of our stay the city had a big celebration and we had a pleasure to listen to the rock concert all night long till 04:00 :) which was a bit troublesome as it was a sleepover after a long working day. The hotel offers a parking lot, which is great.

    Cons -

    • The hotel accommodate is without breakfast.
    • No breakfast available at the weekend.
    • The check in system is a nightmare. I travel a lot for business and for holidays and always if the hotel has a self check-in system this is stated in advance. Usually clear instructions with check-in and check-out rules come by email. In this case it was more like a quest. The information about the hotel in booking has nothing about the self check-in system. We arrived at the hotel to find constructional works in the area of reception and it was completely out of order. There was no one only construction workers. The sign on the door said "Dear Guests, our reception desk is currently not manned. In urgent cases we can be reached by phone on..." and "Dear Guests, if this door is closed, please use the night entrance.". At the night entrance I enter my registration number and the self check-in desk says "this registration doesn't exist". It didn't say "it's too early to check in and come later" , but only that I stay without a hotel on the business trip day. So I'm nervous already. After some time I got a call from the owner that:"I added your registration to the system you may now check in". I was going pay in cash but such an option doesn't exist, although at booking it says that you are welcome to pay in cash. Next I get several emails with check out time at 11:00. There was no breakfast option offered at all, the hotel doesn't serve breakfast. There were no self checkout instructions. So I assumed I just put a card back on the machine. The day of the checkout at 10:30 the door of the hotel is locked and won't let me in as well as won't let the car out from the parking. I'm calling the stated phone number and get a very grumpy "checkout is 10:30". My luggage is still in the room. Well, the numerous emails from the booking said that the checkout time is 11:00. But no one cared. We were allowed to our room after the help of the owner and we were out of the parking lot.

In the past, the hotel was good, clean and comfortable. But this was some years ago

Today the hotel is very badly managed. No receptionist, nobody is carrying about your stay. The facility is under construction and looks like after flooding. No more breakfast in the morning.Hotel without staff and care.

When smoked salmon is served for breakfast that is good. When horseradish whipped cream is served with the salmon, that is exceptional.

No elevator for 3 levels of rooms. And no reception desk open at 21h

Very clean, comfortable and also a simple check-in.

It was very nice they had a pas to load the car. When you drive Electric, this is very nice. They were so kind to give the card of the hotel to us. And the woman at breakfast was very polite and friendly. Will come back for sure.

The second bed was a little uncomfortable for my son of 13.

A bit difficult to find it by car, and the parking is also complicated to reach. On arrival, we foudn no one manning the reception, and the automatic door system a) demanded full payment immediately b) did not work. Fortunately, the recpetionist soon arrived and helped us out. Thsi is something that needs very urgent attention.

Room noise isolation is not perfect.

Location : Close to shops (Chinese restaurant, Pizza shop, Ice cream shop and a local brewery) and also in a nice and quite place. Within 10 mins drive we can reach to Wolfsburg centrumStaff : Staffs are very friendly and can be accessible at anytime (through phone)Breakfast : Nice breakfast spread and again staff at breakfast counter was very friendly and willing to go extra mileWe even extended our stay by one day due to hospitality of the staffs

Suggestion for improvement : 1. Would be nice if they have kettle and some coffee/tea making items at room2. Toiletry items like body lotion can be provided

The hotel is very quiet in the lovely town of Fallersleben which lies adjacent to the much bigger town of Wolfsburg, but is actually the older of the two. The people (including the staff) are very friendly, but check in can also be done remotely (and the door can by opened by smartphone - with protection by German privacy laws). I didn't sample the breakfast, but nearby there are numerous bakeries that provide with excellent bread and coffee that can be consumed on the spot.

The room was quite small, so check for that when you book since larger rooms are available, preferably on the ground floor since the floor above that has rooms under the sloping roof. There wasn't a coffee or tea maker in the rooms, either and I there is no climate control (though there is heating, obviously) but that's as far as any criticism runs.
