Hotel Bella Ciao

Music far too loud on ground floor making our walls tremble. Thank goodness it stopped at midnight on Friday. During the night Saturday to Sunday, party people screaming in the streets (but nothing to do with the hotel).

The Location.

Room was dirty and superficially cleaned only. We found stuff(would rather not mention what) against the wall, we moved the bed around 3 inched by accident, what a shock to see whats underneath there, old rose petals, food, ect.We booked a family room for our family and after paying 'tourist fees' which was not mentioned anywhere beforehand, we were told we would have a DJ play in the restaurant downstairs (the rooms see situated above a restaurant) and we might hear some noise and its only lounge music...Well, that did not play out as it was described en we and our baby go to sleep around 02:30 after the partying stopped.Very bad experience and very disappointing.Lovely location.

Beautiful room with beautiful view. Accommodation also for our baby.

Location

Unit had not had a real clean in some time. Toilet had not been flushed and had a shit in it on arrival. Hairs all over the bathroom. Broken coffee pot that didn’t work. Window sills had not been wiped down. Stained sheets. Old dirty carpet that must be replaced. Saw a mouse when entering building after dinner.

Stunning location at end of cosy boulevard; Harderwijk improved a lot! Although above a restaurant/bar, no noise disturbance in the room. Very friendly staff in both hotel and restaurant. Comfortable bed. Fresh coffee available in the room (Nespresso) . The restaurant on the ground floor offers fabulous Italian food: we had pasta and a salad: both fresh and very tasty ! Elevator to first floor is convenient. Although the hotel doesn't serve breakfast, we were advised to have breakfast at a facility called "Leut" at 2 minutes walking distance: never had such good coffee! Both healthy breakfast options and delicious pastries; we even took some home.

Carpet in public areas and rooms is outdated and not very clean in the public areas. Electricity input at one side of the bed taken by a bed lamp, whereas I prefer to have my phone and charger next to my bed. Toiletries should show a broader offering; for 2 only 1 small shampoo available and nothing else.

Our room had a beautiful view and was comfortable. Th bathroom was spacious and well lit. It had amenities such as coffee and tea.

Slight problem with a card key that didn't work. The noise from people outside a cafe around the corner was a little annoying, but stopped by 11 pm

Hotel with blinking service

Despite the location this hotel has a lot to improve. In our stay, once we've paid we were told that the breakfast they offered in the hotel in front was not possible and they offered us another option further. We wouldn't take the hotel if we've known this in advance. Besides, the hotel informed us that no service was available at the hotel two of the four days we stayed because they partially close, that's not a good way to do for a hotel, without any cleaning or any other type of service half of our stay.

The staff was kind and friendly. What made are stay enjoyable.

We spend a friday night and the bar down was very noisy and loud music until late.

The spot of the hotel is amazing. Everything is closeby, the view is lovely. I love how there is an extra entrance for guests, it feels very private and nobody is on your eyes. The vibes around the area is great. There is music that you can hear, which stops at midnight every time.

Wasn't a fan of the smell in the room, that is personal taste. For breakfast you have to move to another restaurant, which is ok but it didnt felt worth the money for what you can get. The building is loud, you can hear doors slamming and people walking through the hallways.

The room was new and pleasant, location is excellent with water, old city and many restaurants nearby.

The only thing I liked was the comfortable beds, it’s a pity I was unable to sleep for the 5 nights booked due to the cleaner using excess chemical spray that made you feel sick on entering the room! Even with the windows open day and night, not having the room turned made very little difference. The room was cold because of having the windows open all the time, the noise outside was loud until around 4 am.

On arriving to the two rooms booked for our family the over powering odor was evident. We had planned dinner with other family members else where so we opened the windows in the hope this would resolve the problem for when we returned later the night. Unfortunately it did not and we were unable to sleep as the smell burnt our noses and throats.My husband complained to staff who said we could move to a lower floor room for one night only and they would “air the room” for the following night. The hotel insisted we move back to our original room as the one we were moved to was booked. On returning to the original room the smell was still evident, even in the sheets of the bed.We complained again to the hotel but to no avail so we made an official complaint to booking.com who communicated with the hotel. The hotel said they would deduct the breakfast from our bill!The breakfast takes place in another hotel, were cold meats, cheese, bread, petite croissants, fresh fruit and coffee is served. No option of hot food available for 12 euros per person.Our stay was completely spoilt by not being able to sleep from the smell and the noise outside the window until the early hours.On packing our belongs from the two last rooms on the top floor, checking to make sure we had everything, we checked under the beds. Our children found 3 empty bottles of Porto wine under their bed! Obviously not from us. I will let you make your own mind up on why they use such pungent ‘cleaning’ products. If anyone is unlucky to book this hotel check to see if the bottles have been removed!I don’t recommend this hotel or management.

Pleasant staff, lovely position, free parking.

We'd asked for 2 separate single beds, but were provided with two beds pushed together and a double undersheet and duvet.Eventually the bed separation was sorted but no single sheets or duvet provided. This felt a very unprofessional way to treat guests.

Great location and Italian restaurant very good. Nice bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early and just hoped to collect the parking permit, but our room was ready and we were able to check in. Worth knowing to park in section 6, as that is where the pass is for- hope it helps someone.

For all the room had a lovely sea view, it was difficult to enjoy as the bed was in front of it, set into the eaves.

Nice location, mostly. On water. Friendly staff. Rooms were very nice with AC and quiet.

No one there for check in at 3:15. Had a beer and waited about 30 minutes. Not the end of the world, but a bit odd...Parking in the town was complicated and non-intuitive. Decent walk from car to hotel.

The girl in the reception was really nice. Room was really good also.

I did not like the fragrance they have in the rooms..

Location is very beautiful, waking up with the sun coming up over the lake is just nice

very nice big room with a fantastic view. also a great bathroom with all new equipment. friendly staff bed was very comfortable and there was airco. this is important here.

cheap parking..but a littke walk away.

Nicely situated - but run without ambition

Very inconvenient for unloading and then also parking, very simple McD style breakfast
