Friendly staff and our room was very clean and comfortable We even had a balcony and it felt very private No loud noises or weird smells or anything negative about this location Definitely recommend it

Maintenance guy banging the doors at 08:00 to pass through my room to get to the balcony and afterwards finding out that I cannot lock the balcony and he can enter my room anytimw he wants.My friend was in different room and at 08:15 they started to change the windows in room. Brilliant planning.

It is special as it was a prison in the olden days. And the location is amazing as it is located in the city centre.

The decor in the rooms is just a bit bizarre for my taste. Black and glitter and a round bed. No door for the toilet and just a flimsy shower curtain. The bathtub in the room itself.

Location is great, the "look" first impression as well. The breakfast room is nice and cosy.

. It all feels like Pennie wise, pound foolish.

unfortunately i didn't like your hotel, the room wasn't clean enough, the coffee machine was broken and smelly, very noisy, the room wasn't ready on time, i waited until the evening for it to be cleaned

The people working there were all super polite and very helpful. (!)Liked the aesthetics of the entire place. And I really liked the style and colours of the particular room, it looked a bit gothic and fit my halloween stay perfectly. ;)Central location: easy to walk to Almelo's center or the train station.Breakfast was nice.

Hotel might want to put some bleach on the white linen cause there were stains, but other than that, the room was clean and comfy.

The staff were really nice, helpful and friendly, the room was clean and cozy, and the location was good, only 10 minutes walk from the station.

was a bit cold in the room was no mini bar and balcony was missing. and at the breakfast was lot of thinks where already finished like the boiled eggs and hazelnut paste.

No doors to the toilet,it’s fun but a bit challenging when you want some privacy.Even though there is metal door,it doesn’t shut,so we could hear all the noises from the hall and reception.Mold in mini fridge and in the sink.

It was a very unique experience. Having the luxury of staying in what used to be three cell blocks that are now beautifully renovated.

We opted not to have breakfast as we found the price to be a bit high.

Lacked business stay basics - no iron in room or in common area, only one coat hangar in room, dark gloomy interiors with insufficient light, overpriced breakfast.

Perfect location for us. Staff were friendly and spoke English. A few flights of stairs up to our room so probably not suited for someone with impaired mobility. Room was well decorated and clever use of space. Bed was comfortable and furnishings modern. Couldn’t get regular TV channels but that just might be me. The wifi didn’t reach my room but worked in other areas of the hotel. Paid parking on hotel grounds but not many spaces so best to get there early.

It’s just a small thing, but the bathroom had no door and water pressure was very low. Still a lovely place to stay though. Basin was outside the bathroom, but I imagine this would be keeping in line with original plumbing specs from when the building was used as a prison.

The aesthetic of the hotel was nice and the staff were nice.

The room we were in had no toilet. This was not mentioned on booking.com after speaking to the manager there the name of the room says no toilet but it says it in dutch.

The building itself is beautiful and was a pleasure to see

1.The door of my room only opened partially because the bed was in front of it. 2. The reception of the tv was terrible and I ended up walking through the room with the antenna in hand. 3. The breakfast was very small for such a price( 22,50) the oj was out, no ham and limited choice of bread. 4. The room had no ventilation or ac and was hot. 5 On the second morning there was no staff, no breakfast, nothing.

In our initial room the TV didn’t work. The friendly staff upgraded us however to another room. Great service in the end!Some small things that could be improved in room A22; soap dispenser not well mounted, faucet is leaking, tv is not mounted level and one of the coffee machines is not functioning
