The perfect location in front of the train station and the spa facilities.

The mattress was terrible

Right next to the train station. Very quiet. Clean room with newly refurbished bathroom. Decent breakfast selection. Staff very friendly and helpful. 20 mins walk to the centre of Ommen. Everything was ideal for the purposes of my trip.

The location was pretty nice. The spa is also very nice with saunas, jacuzzi, warm pool and a cold pool to dip in after the sauna. If you want a massage, please book it well in advance otherwise there won’t be available spots if you wait until your check in date to book a massage session.

The room facilities can differ a lot and two rooms of the exact same type and price can have wildly varying cleanliness, design and comfort. We thought our room had a bath, but it didn’t. The pictures and facilities description don’t make it clear whether the bathroom has a shower or a bathtub. The door was also crooked so it didn’t close properly. We went to the reception and they transferred us to another room. The room was fine but the bathroom had a very strong stench. We went back to the receptionist and at first she suggested that we flush some water down the sink. We told her we really wanted a room with a bathtub and she said that the Superior King Suite was not available anymore so she couldn’t do much. I checked the availability on Booking and it turns out we could still book the last remaining Superior Suite. After some more conversation with her, she was able to find us an upgrade to the Superior King Suite. The price of the upgrade was just a few euros more, which is a shame because it means the facilities of the other rooms are not up to par with the price being charged.

Very poor room. Too expensive for standard offered. Entire building is worn out. Sauna and pool ate bot in a good state. Cash cow.

Parts of the sauna was closed, and it looks like they aren’t intending to fix this as there are a lot of reviews on Google about this from months ago. Also I would not recommend the breakfast!

Not much really . Apart from its location to the horse show . The bed was large and comfortable

The hotel looks tired . Our room was very small and hot . Could hardly walk round the bed. The bathroom was old and not very clean , could really do with modernising

The garden and the sauna are super nice. Resto is nicely decorated. Good breakfast.

The sauna inside, near the swimming pool was off, however the sauna from the garden was working.

The main entrance has been renovated and really feel nice. The breakfast offer is very good with fresh ingredients. The checkin/out procedures super easy and fast. The staff is helpful and nice.

The rooms can be improved. Some works have already been done in the main area and the rooms can follow. The noise insulation from outside can be improved: air circulation not the best with everything closed.

Over the years the service dropped.At checkout we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come to the frontdesk.The stupid thing is that your stay is pre/payed, but at check out you have to pay Tourist Tax ( 2€ ) AND 3€ handeling ….,

The location

After booking this hotel they informed me that the papping was closed. I was transferred to De Zon Hotel. I stayed one night and in the morning the reception and manger staff was unhelpful ,judgemental and hostile towards my error and brain fog after I made a human mistake and blocked my debit card unable to pay by pinnen ..I found another solution to pay but in the meantime I was treated like a criminal refusing to pay and threatened with the police. Shocking behaviour and treatment.No staff serving drinks and bar closed that was hard to find., had to ask at the reception to find it and open. The room was old and out dated for the best suite ....was a ok stay but the staff made it a absolute nightmare that left me traumatised and crying in my car after solved my payment issue. Really judgemental, small town minded prejudice mentality. No apologies or even thank you after I managed to pay. Just a smug bye and a dirty look from the receptionist after giving me my drivers licence she held back in her pocket till I paid. Absolutely disgusting treatment. Never thought I'd experience a cold hearted lack of hospitality from a hotel on booking .com. really wasn't worth the stay in the end. Made a complaint to papping waiting responce. Never deal with this hotel or thier chain again..shocking treatment.

lovely staff and great location

the hotel room was outdated and not very comfortable, especially for a tall individual. tables were tiny and low.

friendly staff, bikes for rent and location near the station was perfect for me.

the hotel is being renovated but needs a lot of work to bring it up to scratch. there are dents and scuff marks on the walls, mould on the tiles, water pooling on the flat roof, mosquitos in the room. furniture and flooring is cheap, beds uncomfortable and sound-proofing non-existent. the sauna area was dirty. staff are very nice, which is a saving grace

The personnel was exceptionally warm, nice and helpful. They placed an extra bed in advance at my request. Also the spa was good and free for hotel guests. The pillows and mattresses were very comfortable.

The bathroom smelled of sewerage very strongly and the door was squeaky in the room 109. In the restaurant some food (the aubergine starter and seabass main) was plain.

The wellness center (sauna & Steam bath) was really exceptional and their food was also okay, a bit too expensive but alright.

The too I booked for was not what I received. I informed the receptionist but I was told there was nothing they could do. what got me really disappointed and angry was unprofessional the owner of the place was. He told he didn’t care and since my problem was never resolved on the first day I didn’t have the right to complain. After informed him that I did, he offered me 5 euros with arrogance.

Regretfully over the years the service is no longer written with s capital “S”.But the price moved im the opposite direction.
