Leonardo Hotel Mainz

It's clean, there is a nice place to eat close by. The staff are good and speak english well. Nice looking location, dark at night and a quiet, good part of town.

I didn't like that there was no easy bus access to the hotel from the Bahn Hoff. Back to the Bahn hoff yes, but nothing to get you to the hotel in reasonable time. It's a 15 minute walk up a hill, with a suitcase and bags, no shuttle.

Great food, comfortable bed, very nice staff, kids play corner, very clean facility, good hours for the gym facility.

The bathroom door put out too much light when using the bathroom at night. It was a little difficult getting into and out of the shower.

The room was not clean, it was all with a dog hair, on the bed especially.

The room was very clean, the hotel is close to the central station and the city center, but far enough to escape the chaos of the central station.

We had a little problem with the heating in our room. It wasn’t working. But the hotel employees were very helpful and took care of it immediately by changing our room.

Excellent spa included in the price with proper sauna.

Hotel is in a quiet area. There is a parking elevator that will bring you up and down to the city level!!

Atop a BIG HILL!!!

One small elevator was working for a fully booked hotel, (other one was broken) so you always had to take the stairs, everyone was waiting for the elevator in the area where you could feel the sewage.... Then the stair was crowded because no one wanted to wait to the elevator.Because when finally comes it was full or the maids were with huge carts and laundry in the elevator so no one couldn't go inside, even though they have a special elevator only for that staff member.When we entered the room, the TV was not working, so we waited for a man to come and try to fix it...like 40min. In order for him to state that the device is still not working. So they changed our room, luckily, the second time we were given a room near the stairs, so at least I don't have to carry my suitcases through the labyrinth from the hotel. The hotel is located on a hill far from everything, so we went to the Christmas market by bus and taxi. All in all... The hotel is "disguised" to be fancy/modern and professional, but in fact you don't know what's worse. The experience was hmmmm... we couldn't wait to leave. Luckily we only were there for two nights. Plus second day we couldn't went into our room because receptionist forgot to book it for too nights, so our keys weren't working... Than she gave me one complimentary drink on the house (and we come as a couple) anyway I gave the card back when we were going home, I just didn't need anything from such a lame hotel. At least everyone was polite and rooms clean and modern.

It would have been good to have clearer instructions of how to pay for the car park. The car park had many entrances and exits, which can be confusing.

Poor soundproofing of rooms. Corridor music way too loud. Asked at reception to turn it down at midnight(!) and they didnt know how. For light sleepers only option is great earplugs. Could also hear everything my neighbour was saying. Understaffed. Long queues to reception. Rooms ok, but I reserved a comfort twin and got a strange triangular layout with a single bed.Bathrooms are very underwhelming and showers are very old.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable — everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from, including fresh fruit and warm pastries. The location is close to the main attractions and easy to reach by public transport. The staff is friendly and ready to help.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Large variety of tv-channels.

Booked another 2 nights after interval of 4 nights for double the price - extremely disappointed. After arriving tired from day's shopping, room keys didn't work, Internet didn't work. Extremely noisy group of Asian tourists arrived, that took over the lifts, as well as staircase. Reaction of staff showed clearly that the hotel prefers large groups to singles or couples travelling, ignoring our complaints. Furthermore be careful not to bump into Katharina at the reception!!

The website said garage parking on site but on arrival we were unable to park our motorbike as apparently the car park does not accept bikes - it took an hour for the staff between them to decide where we could park- round the back by some old wooden pallets- not greatThere were 2 lifts but only one was in use and that broke down on the day we were leaving so had to carry all our luggage down three flights of stairs

The Location is a little far from the old city center, probably need to use the car to go to city center

Beautifully renovated rooms with excellent soundproofing. Excellent breakfast. Positioned well for town and the railway station.

Only one lift working, surly check in staff.
