Mainzer Hof

The hotel is being remodeled. It's not 100 percent complete, but our room was very large and very pretty.

A bit of a walk to the train station and the KD boat line dock, but overall I liked the location. Remodel is still in progress.

Single room, everything was good, clean. Breakfast was excellent with a nice view!

The room had a great view of the river.

They don’t have air conditioning but do supply a good fan. There is no shopping in the area and restaurants are very limited.

We have stayed here many times over the past fifteen years and in the time, the hotel has achieved a major renovation of rooms, lobby and breakfast room. Though the hotel is geared toward business travel, they do an excellent job with the casual tourist also. Strengths of hotel: location, staff, view, and breakfasts.

Public parking is located nearby and is easily accessed. It is a bit expensive, however. The lift at the garage was inoperable, which is a very un-German condition. Also, beware that the shower's floor surface can be slippery.

The hotel did not meet the conditions it promises to guests, namely respecting the house rules.

Although there is a house rule, the television in the next room was extremely loud, even after midnight. The house rules warn about adhering to the rules of normal behavior after 10 .The hotel staff was unable to solve the problem, the guests did not want to open the door. The staff should be able to sanction such guests. Then there should be no house rules at all.

Good location. It’s close to the Rhine and also not far from the central railway station. The facility in the room is rather new.

The shower place is a little bit too small

It's not very clear, maybe the small toilet is a problem.

Very large room, and not expensive, cost effective. Great breakfast room with amazing views over the Rhine.

Great location by the river, very clean, big rooms, friendly staff. The best is the breakfasts on the top floor with great views. Also liked getting Glühwein from the lobby bar. This was our second visit, and we look forward to going back again.

No safe nor water in rooms

They had a bike ? storage area so I could feel piece of mind leaving my bicycle there. I took the stairs several times since the elevator ? was slow. I loved the artwork in the stairs showing historical scenes of castles ? & forts along the Rhine river where I used to cycle.

The staff was polite and helpful. the room was clean and spacious.

I'm not the biggest fan of curtains in the shower.

A bit hot, hard to regulate heat. Had to open window and a bit noisy but the view was splendid
