Pretty worn out room. Lousy unconfortable chairs.

Easy booking and generous breakfast, kind customer service!

All in all very functional hotel. Note the walls are thin - so you can hear your neighbours talking or watching the telly.

Breakfast was great. Location was the best, close to train station and town. Amazing old buildings in the area.

We needed a cheap overnight stopover while travelling by train to Gothenburg from the UK. Hotel am Rathaus was about as near as we could find to the station (c 1km). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a highlight. The dining room is on the fourth floor, so we watched the sun rise as we ate! The food and drink choices were plentiful and the staff provided really good gluten free bread for my wife as requested beforehand. In short, it was fine as an overnight stop (in both directions!) but probably would not have been our choice for a longer stay in Flensburg.

The rooms we were given were quite small, but adequate for our needs. One of the rooms did not have a kettle, but one was provided by reception - which was fine.

⚠️ Warning for travelers:I booked Hotel Am Rathaus in Flensburg via Booking.com, but for some reason my booking date suddenly shifted — it started on the day I was supposed to leave.I contacted directly the hotel for cancelation (hotel confirmed) and after again the hotel twice by email, but they never replied at all. Now I gave them a long time to react, but the money seems lost and I lost my patience.Because of this booking error and the hotel’s silence, I ended up paying almost twice for my stay.I recommend being very careful when booking this hotel through Booking.com — this combination can be a risky and frustrating experience, especially if anything goes wrong.Sharing this so others don’t face the same situation.

Very good at the price. Extremly good placed for visiting all the small shops along the walking street. Also near museums etc, Good and safe parking garrage.

Very good breakfast. Good area. We had booked a parkingplace, it was in a locked garage, very good. Nice room, it was a single room. Perhaps a bit dated but with a modern showerroom. We liked it.

Unfortunably at 4 a' clock in the morning something happened outside my opened window, perhaps something with the garage, I don't know. It was so for more than 1 hour. Then I closed the window, it continued, I could not sleep again. It was the same for my friend traying to sleep in the room besid3 me.

Bed is very nerro. Room is very small. I feel like falling off the bed several times in the night. Could not sleep comfortably. Also I was in summer, so but hot. Breakfast is very basic. No fresh fruits, no egg.

I liked that everything was clean, that breakfast was free and that I was able to leave my luggage at reception after checking out. The lift was also a plus.

There was a lack of vegan options at breakfast and the hotel could use a renovation.

Great to be able to park the car underground next to the hotel. Location was excellent. Good continental breakfast. Very friendly, helpful staff

Breakfast Was good. I enjoy the trip back to the 1970’s in Germany. furnishings, style and elevator (from 1966) the size of an old telephone box. Nostalgia

Unfortunately a heavy musty smell in the room. Old TV with only one channel that works.

Great location: easy walk to train station and pedestrian zone. Friendly staff. Pricely fairly. Breakfast was good.
