Hotel Alte Post Flensburg

It is stated as a three star hotel, but we had a feeling it should be four star. It has a grandeur lobby, ample bedroom and bathroom, breakfast was excellent. Location very strategic with a parking garage nearby. All above our expectation!

A standard German , i.e. fresh and tasty, breakfast. Comfortable bed. Working wifi. Excellent location: between Fischerhafen and Musumsberg, 20 min walk from the train station.

One thing to improve: a coffee maker and a tea cattle in the room.

Great looking hotel and a prime location. Food in restaurant was good - both dinner and breakfast.

Staff was surprisingly unfriendly. They made a couple of small mistakes (bringing wrong order at restaurant, assigning us to an already reserved table at breakfast), and the way they reached to those mistakes felt entirely as if we were to blame for them. We are going to choose another hotel next time we are in Flensburg.

Good location. Just a short walk up to the pedestrian area. Hotel staff were friendly and positive and provided good service.

Parking as usual is always an issue.

The building is very beautiful, but the room was very small. Besised I found the room and breakfast very overpriced.

The breakfast could have been better, it was boring and missing a lot things that are common on a normal breakfast buffet.

Polite, flexible staff. Clean room, bathroom (maybe slightly oversized). Excellent location of the hotel. Good atmosphere.

Great location in the middle of Flensburg. Beautiful building and nice rooms. Also breakfast is very nice with very good products. Staff is really professional and helpful. One feels like being in a homy environment.

Amazing location in the middle of Flensburg. Outstanding staff. Fantastic breakfast. Parking was in a public garage about a half block away. The front desk will swap out your ticket for you so it is only 10€ a day.

The location of the hotel is super convenient, right next to the shopping street and in between the two historic centres. What's more, the nearness to the port made for an amazing view both at night and in the morning.

There was a very strong scent in the room - not a bad one, but it was definitely very floral. If you're sensitive to nice, be aware that the front rooms are next to a fairly busy road.

The location is perfect, with parking just a few meters away .The re-creation of the old post office has been lovingly done - modern up-to-date amenities and old architecture coexist beautifully .The breakfast buffet was very good, and there is more than enough seating for the guests, which is often a rarity...we loved our stay!

Fruhstuck ridiculously priced (too expensive). Went to cafes near by. Why does hotel not offer small breakfast .No kettle in room for tea or coffees. Not easy to find and park to unload.Seems hotel is resting on past laurels..

A very nice hotel with excellent breakfast. Our score reflects a very poor night sleep because of being next to a busy cobbled road and traffic and other noise. Ask for an internal room. The bed was comfortable but the room was hot and it was necessary to have the window open hence the noise.

We asked for a double bed and was given two singles. When we changed rooms we were given an external room with a double bed by the time we realised the street noise was an issue it was too late to change again. To make matters worse, we were awoken at 0500 by a sewage cleaning truck outside our room not only was it noisy it was horrendously smelly and we had to close the windows as the smell was sickening. Not the fault of the hotel but when we mentioned this on check out the staff seemed totally bemused. As compensation we were given free parking but that did not seem enough for the terrible night we had experienced. The hotel should look at installing air conditioning in rooms that overlook the street. The hotel should also complain to the municipality about the sewage clearance as making this level of noise at 0500 is completely unacceptable! I suggested this on check out but the staff did not understand what I was saying.

Great rooms, great staff and well appointed with bar, restaurant, fitness centre, etc. Great location close to old town, new town shops, harbour and bus station. Had a very nice dinner in the restaurant and several drinks at the bar. Both were really good. Didn't try the breakfast but imagined if would also be good.

Reception area was a bit small and too close to the bar area and tended to get crowded and busy.

Beautifully renovated old postal building in the heart of the city. The lobby is the former outside square. We arrived at 20:50 but it was no problem to order dinner! Very nice staff! Rooms are comfortable and clean, great shower.

Only thing we missed was a water kettle or small coffee maker. But perhaps more luxurious rooms have this.

Great location and design. The rooms were very clean!

As an Aussie, we are used to having a kettle to make tea or coffee. There was a bakery just down the street so we went there to buy our coffee and top up our thermos for a days exploring.

Nice old renaissance building. centrally located.Super cozy lobby area.clean and nice.

The location is excellent , the Restaurant is great

It’s not family or children’s friendly Hotel, the staff were not nice to my kid. There is no facility for children!
