Pros +
- This place is a gem. Not flashy, not trying to be the Four Seasons, but it doesn’t have to. It’s got that rare combination of Danish design cool and German attention to detail. Clean lines, muted tones, wood that feels like it came from a shipbuilder’s stash. The kind of place where you walk into your room and think, yeah, someone actually cared when they put this together. The harbor is a stone’s throw away—close enough you can wander down with a coffee in hand and watch the boats roll in, but far enough removed that you don’t get the noise, the neon, the bad saxophone buskers. Flensburg itself is easy to love: cobbled streets, gabled houses, a harbor that still looks like it remembers sailors who drank hard and prayed harder, and just enough gentrified nonsense (McDonald’s in the square, souvenir shops, kebab joints) to remind you that time marches on, not always for the better.Breakfast at Petuh? Worth lingering for. They don’t phone it in here—think fresh, local, quality over quantity. Staff are attentive in that quiet, Germanic way—no overbearing smiles, just competence and warmth. And if you’ve got a motorcycle, relax. There’s safe parking tucked in back, so you don’t have to lie awake worrying about whether some kid is trying to hotwire your BMW.Nights in Flensburg, you’ve got options, though mind the hours—places tend to close earlier than you’d think. A Greek restaurant around the corner serves portions that would make your grandmother proud, and if that’s not your thing, the town’s got plenty of other spots where you can eat well without breaking the bank. So, Hotel Petuh: not just a stopover, not just a bed on the road to Sweden. It’s one of those finds that makes you want to stay a little longer, drink another glass, and wander the harbor again the next morning. A place that feels real in a world where so much travel has been sanded down into the same safe, beige experience.

Everything was perfect clean , friendly ,nice location.
The fine details of design, colors of the interior, it is full of thoughts, carrying warm energy to us.We love the idea on toilet and bath are separated. The common are to get a drink, I could sit and write, giving me good energy after a long day.The receptionist offered her time to talk while there was no other guests around, feeling homey!
Not really
The hotel is really lovely and the staff very kind and helpful. The room was spacious with a huge television and a very comfortable bed. Also clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast tasted great. The location of the hotel is very convenient.
Nothing noted.
Super cozy hotel and quiet room thanks to the "noise cancelling" windows! We are light sleepers, but slept like babies and woke in the morning feeling refreshed.Excellent cleanliness everywhere, great peace of mind.It made a good impression seeing the manager in person, not putting themselves above daily tasks such as welcoming guests or serving breakfast.
Bathroom and shower facilities can be a bit awkward for shy people. Adding frosted window film to the shower door for added privacy would be a nice touch, in my opinion.Wifi password not available in the booking information, room or hallway. Only sign we could find is in the lobby, a bit inconvenient.
Near to the harbour, clean and cosy
Barbara was amazing! She made it all worthwhile.Breakfast was freshly made, great quality, renovated rooms were great.
No Air con, no fans, meant open windows in the summer and a loud street and drunks at the bar down the road = it all equals a sleepless night. IF you stay and its warm at all, get a room facing the back parking lot (not scenic, but at least you have the chance at a quieter night.
very aesthetically pleasing place. Even the room keys look nice)
No kettle in the room. But there is a coffee machine
Stylish, well designed, super clean and close to the old town center.
I’d have to nitpick, it was great!
The breakfast was very good although the room just a bit cramped.
Just a bit expensive
Nice and helpful staff member at check out.
Boring room. Zero ambiance. Hot bottled water. No parking available.
Location and ambience. Well designed and comfortable bedroom.
Location
No A/CBathroom is not separated from bedroom Key is a regular key with a huge key chain which you need to take to enter the hotel after hours.
The hotel is new and very clean and the staff excellent. The breakfast was above expectations - especially when I got one of the chefs to cook me an omlette! Just delicious!
The room lacked bare essentials like a chair to sit on - you had to sit on the bed. The shower had no door or curtain and water splashed all over the place. The door handles were not hinged on properly - and the staff were very apologetic but it seemed like the bare necessities to get fixed.
A small newly renovated hotel, close to the centre of a very pretty town.
There were ongoing building works in the reception area.
Clean, comfortable, lovely staff, convenient location, great breakfast
Walls of the rooms were thin or badly insulated, so too much noise from neighbours. Door handles and other fittings were loose and falling off.
The location and the style of the room
We would not recommend rooms 1 and 2 as there is a door in between and the bed of room 1 next to the door. No need to make a drawing when you have a romantic couple next to the door ….
We booked a room, when we arrived there was no one at the desk. They told us they send us an e-mail with a code to get access, we did receive an e-mail, but no code ! There we where after a full day drive standing in the rain outside. We tried to reach them by phone no response, thats no way to treat guests. Fortunately the hotel on the opposite site of the street had rooms available. Even they where kind enough to get in touch with the hotel we booked in the first place, no respons either. If youre running a business, then make sure to welcome youre guest !!! Never ever again ! not to be recommendet.
Being there to answer the door for example !
everything is very high quality, beautiful interior design
lighting around mirrors - needs better lighting theregiven that breakfast was not included we found the 170 Euro per night price a bit too high
