B&B HOTEL Mons Gare

Clean quiet just what we needed after a very long day on the road.

This is not the hotels fault¿..but due to all the construction around the hotel it was had for us to get to the hotel. I¿m sure this is hurting your bussiness. We had to drive up wrong way streets to get to the hotel.

The hotel is located just next to the train station, which is extremely convenient. The staff was particularly amicable, and the room was comfortable and spacious. Lockers for luggage in the lobby are also fairly useful.

The room smelled badly when we came in - and the smell stayed the whole time. Maybe people smoked in it before? Also, there were some sticky stains on the floor. The breakfast was especially disappointing, with a limited offer. Unfortunately, the coffee machine turned out of service just before we could get a beverage. The staff was unable to repair it. I found this episode was poorly handled for three reasons: 1) only one coffee machine for a fairly large breakfast room is just not enough, there should be another, which would solve this kind of situation; 2) even then, they should have come up with an alternative solution (e.g. making hot chocolate in the kitchen or using a spare old-fashion coffee maker: anything); 3) to me, a breakfast without a beverage is incomplete and we should have been offered a refund of some sort.The price of the room was also pretty high for a city with no tourist affluence.

Friendly staff, spacious room, quick check-in, walking distance to downtown mons. Plenty of free street parking available. Nice breakfast with a variety of items and good coffee.

Rooms were pretty cold upon arrival and shower water never fully heated up. Lobby bathroom was smelly.

Location is near public transportation nd restaurants.

Hearing was not working. Not able to maintain a constant temperature in the room. Staff didn’t know how to resolve the issue during the night shift. Not technician availability during the evening/night shift. Hot water not at adequate temperature. Staff promising to change room but not delivering on their promise.

Large, clean bedroom and nice, modern bathroom. There was parking available at the hotel that felt very safe. It was very easy to walk from the hotel into the old town centre with all its bars and restaurants. There are also bars and restaurants extremely close by as an alternative to the old town. It is just across the road from the station and easy to find.

Location, just in front of the station. Friendly efficient reception. Room was very clean too.

Nothing bothered me, functional, but the room looks quite plain and empty for its price, bit like a hospital.

Great location, amazing staff, surprisingly nice comfortable room for the price. Excellent breakfast that was unexpectedly included. Super experience overall.

Just that the elevator wasn’t working, but I usually try to take the stairs anyway. Everyone was very upfront about this. The staff were super kind, apologetic and even offered to help with my small bags - very kind and accommodating. Gave me a 5€ voucher for a nice beer in their lounge. Perfect!

The lift was not working and we had to climb three flights of stairs every day. Thankfully the young receptionist helped us with the luggage and offered us water and free extension up to two o'clock on the departure day. Cleanliness was ok. The breakfast could be more varied

It’s next to the train station, really nice location

No water in the room, had to pay 2euros per bottle. On the second day I got free water as the elevator was not working. Also there is a weird smell in the bathroom. The breakfast is soooooo bad ;)

Very polite staff. The room was quite spacious. Free coffee and some fruits for the guests.

Unfortunately the breakfast was rather basic. Some refurbishment is being conducted in the hotel - consequently the elevator was closed. The room was furnished just with a bed, desk and a very simple uncomfortable chair, no armchair. I would rate the hotel higher if it was cheaper.

Lift was not working and my room was in 4th floor. I carried my luggages up to 4th floor by stairs and I am feeling sick now

The staff was friendly. Every time we had a problem, they were quick to solve it.It's very close to the main train station in Mons.

The breakfast quality and selection was quite poor.The building is being renovated, I think. The elevators were out of service, so you have to go up a very narrow stairwell. The doorknob on the door into the stairs is held on with tape, and there's a sharp metal edge. The stairs are dirty. There are sounds of construction happening during the day, so you can't sleep in or take a nap. The rooms look worn and cheap. You only get one thin pillow per person. The bathroom soap provided smells rather bad.

The towels and bed sheets were clean.

The lift was not working. The stairs were really dirty. In the room there was no water, cattle. The floor ( the carpet) in the room was damaged. The rooms need renovation

Customer service was very good dealing with a problem during the check in, transferring us to a nearest hotel when they offered us an upgrade to a suite and free car parking. Staff in both B&B Mons Gare & Lido receptions were brilliant

I didn’t like much of the Breakfast buffet as it seemed a bit empty nearly nothing on the trays and staff always looking through the door to see if we were staying longer or not so didn’t have to refill or bring new trays in - it was just 8:45 when breakfast closes at 10:30

Location is perfect, near the railway station and center of the town.

When we came in we had to pay the bill immediately, and on top of that we had to pay 100 euros. As a "guarantee", cause I forgot the creditcard. We had no choice: it had to be done. We would get the money back the next day at check-out. That was the appointment we made. But no: when we left the refund was 'pending'. We are a couple 64 and 66, non-smokers with a lot of travel experience. Never had such a bad experience. We payed 143 euro's for this hotel. Breakfast was disappointing: lack of bread, croissants underbaked, etc etc. Hotel was not clean.
